All the basic techniques, tools and wood types are explained in details.
The book has high-quality images on virtually every page, which is necessary for such a topic.
After reading the book I feel comfortable to start doing the first simple projects described in a separate section.

I just loved the easy, step by step guide for joinery and basic techniques.

Nice to read because of all the pictures and illustrations.

Projects could be better but a great addition to my woodworking books.

Such a great reference - I read this on Kindle but will be buying a copy for the house. Only wish it talked more about non-powered tools.

Photos show great detail, very helpful for the new hobbyist.

Exactly the kind of visual, quick textbook I've been looking for to help me wrap my head around a few skills, as well as provide clear and concise comparisons for options when it comes to tools, approaches to projects, and types of wood. Checked out from library but tempted to purchase a copy to have on hand.
