I’m the king of bad decisions. One more won’t hurt.

I never asked to be kidnapped…again.
Never asked to be a third-wheel on my best friend's honeymoon either.
But what I really don't need is for Alessandro Falcone-bad boy mafia prince--to act as my self-assigned protector.
Malta is vibrant & welcoming.
My host--not so much.
As if barking orders and growling threats would have any effect on me.
Only when he holds me tight and tells me to breathe and keep my eyes on him, when I'm triggered--I see another side of him.
One that I do my darnest to dismiss.
We're on a collision course to disaster.
Because I will never give up my freedom.
He's the most dominant man I've ever met.
When Alex Falcone wants something, he usually gets it.
This time it's me.
But I'm not to be had.

I write contemporary romantic suspense featuring alpha heroes who fall madly in love with the woman they're meant to be with—but who doesn't keel over, just because he's super-gorgeous, attentive, and overprotective.

Join their wild ride to Happy-Ever-After, jam-packed with heart-wrenching dark pasts, exciting obstacles, and sizzling chemistry.

When I'm not writing, I'm busy being a mom to the world's best kiddos or trying to keep my home under control (somehow I can't seem to make that one work). I'm an IT-Tech by day and by night I love to lose myself in a good romance book with a swoon-worthy hero and a kick-ass heroine.

The book opens with Fee angry at the world.. why?? Because she was kidnapped and taken on her best friends honeymoon. She doesn't want to be there and she definitely let's everyone know. Alex is tasked with making sure Fee is taken care of while in Malta and of course he's not happy with this because both can't stand each other.
Fee and her stubbornness at every turn especially when Alex tells her she can't do something ya bet she's gonna do it. She can't figure out why someone who openly tells her he doesn't like her keeps popping up everywhere she is. Due to being forced together both start to let down their walls and open up to each other... unfortunately Alex has a mouth that gets him in trouble. And Fee has demons that she hasn't overcome.. can two people who are completely opposite of each other but both a little broken and cynical come together and heal each other?

I actually really enjoyed this book. I only wish I read book 1 first before I read this only because I felt like I was missing a couple things like Alex and Fionas first meet and what happened in Italy (idk if these happened in book 1). Or perhaps a quick prologue to give us a bullet point of their interections prior to this book beginning. I really wish ages were told only that there is 13 years between the two. The growth between both MCs was great I won't dive deep into it but know there's growth on both sides and a grovel that can do with some work on the MMCs side but hey.. Fiona accepted his apology so I will too. This book is fast paced with a time span of about 2 weeks so lots of fun banter and events happening in a short period of time.

A mafia romance between Alessandro (Alex) an important member of the Italian underworld and Fiona, an Irish mob princess.

It’s an instalove story; I’m not sure the number of interactions they had could be enough to develop any feelings apart from lust.

It’s the first book of the author that I’m reading and the writing style didn’t exactly thrill me, it lacked some flow imo.

In the beginning I was confused and wondered if it was a mistake reading this without having read the first one. Later on some things made sense but I would have liked a short, compact summary of the necessary events of the previous book early on.

I have mixed feelings for the MCs. Alex: one moment sensitive and regretting his actions and the next one being insensitive and harsh again. Fiona should have demanded a ton of grovelling given how big of an @%¥ he was to her. On more than one occasion! She was feisty and brave but gave me mixed signals in some issues. I’d expect her to need some more time to feel better and get closer to Alex.

I liked the surrounding characters and how they cared for the MCs.

The end felt just slightly rushed but did leave me wanting to see what the future holds for Jemma and the Salvinis.

-Dual 1st person POV
-Spice: 2.5/5 🌶️

Overall: 3.25/5 ⭐️ for me.

Thank you Kat Bammer for providing the arc of this book for review.

Give me Alessandro Falcone ALL DAY EVERYDAY! 😍😍😍

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️🌶️.5

This was seriously the hottest enemies to lovers I’ve ever read. I would have loved way more spice but listen, beggars can’t be choosers.

Alex is the epitome of dark and sexy and I want more. He clearly does not handle change well and honestly who can blame in.

Fiona is officially my spirit animal. As an Irish woman her fire and drive spoke to my soul!

They quite literally are so different but so right for each other.

“You think you’re playing with fire.” “But I’m a fucking inferno.”

“I wanted to kiss her until she was out of breath, and then I would tell her to get on her knees and open her mouth.”

“I’ll burn down the world to get her back.”

“I’ll get on my knees, tell you how much I love you, and beg you to stay by my side for the rest of our lives and to come home with me.”

I'm so excited to be able to immerse myself in the Ruthless Rogues Mafia world again! Without a doubt, I'm hooked on this author and the amazing characters she's brought to life. This book was packed with action, suspense, angst, drama and awesome jumps-off-the-pages chemistry between Fee and Alex.

I liked book one but Fee and Alex have officially stolen the spot light! If you love enemies to lovers, found family, OTT smexy times and emotional family drama plus meeting new intriguing characters that you'll quickly obsess over, I HIGHLY recommend this read!

Alex and Fee get off on the wrong foot and both assume things from first impressions that put them on opposite sides. Their snarky insults quickly turn into will they/wont they tension that leads to some pretty explosive moments! I loved Fee. She was such a strong FMC and she took a lot of the ugly to get her HEA and I loved her more for it. Alex was definitely an alpha-hole but having his POV really helped see where all the animosity would spring from. This is a standalone but I would definitely suggest reading book one as there is an ongoing plot that carries over and you'll have a way better understanding of the supporting characters.

The ending was both sexy and sweet! Not to mention that unexpected plot twist with Vince, Matteo and Jemma! I'm gob smacked 😱 and can't wait for the next installment!

Part of the Ruthless Rogues Mafia series so you might want to make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way. They say opposite attract and there is a thin line between love and hate these two make a believer out of us. Alex sexy as all get out part of the Italian mafia is tasked by the boss to take care of a situation that he can’t stand he is dangerous, ruthless on a good day, deadly everyday but his latest charge is working every ounce of patients in him tempting him to show her just how dangerous he really can be. Fiona an Irish mob princess is sweet when she wants to be, but she can also show the other side especially after being kidnapped from her friend’s wedding and the man task to watch over her, she gives him he**. But when these two are forced to spend time together the more they get to know each other the stronger the magnetic pull between them grows. The thing is trouble will find her no matter where she goes and he is right there to stop it but opening up we find out she has ghost that she fights daily, his mouth gets him in trouble but can they find their way to get along with one another, will they be honest with their feeling for one another, will she continue to fight him every step of way, will her family fight the two of them being together, and is it their time for happiness?

An ARC in exchange for an honest review
A mafia romance unfolds between Alessandro, the head of his Italian family, and Fiona, an Irish mob princess. It's the second book in the series, and although I haven't read it yet, I believe it's best to start with the first book to witness their initial encounter. This story delves into mafia romance and rival families, featuring an age gap and I thoroughly enjoyed this book; it's the first I've read from the author, and The main character was strong and didn't back down,The dynamic between the characters, with Alessandro's obsession with Fiona, made for engaging read. The banter and chemistry between them and Overall, it's a great book for fans of mafia romances. I'm eagerly anticipating the next installment in the series.and don't forget to check the trigger warnings.

Tainted Desire (Ruthless Rogues Mafia Book 2) by Kat Bammer is a mafia romance. The characters were written so well and I enjoyed their chemistry and banter. I do recommend reading book 1 so you can know all the characters and understand everything completely. The plot was full of action and steamy romance. Alex is a mafia prince who meets Fiona and sets his eyes on her. Trust me when he sets his mind on something he gets it. Fionna is determined to have just the opposite. This all leads to a whole lot of fun banter and steamy romance.
This book is really good and I am glad I picked it up. I recommend reading it and the series. Great job to Kat Bammer!

TAINTED DESIRE is the second instalment in Kat Bammer’s contemporary, adult RUTHLESS ROGUES MAFIA dark, erotic, Mafia romance series. This is Alessandro ‘Alex’ Falcone, and Irish Mafia princess Fiona ‘Fee’ Donnelly’s story line. TAINTED DESIRE can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading book one SINFUL HONOR for back story and cohesion as many of the events in the current timeline are as of a direct result of the events in the previous book.

NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Alex and Fee) TAINTED DESIRE follows in the wake of the marriage of Fiona’s sister Sophie, to Mafia Don Gabriel Falcone but in an effort to protect and keep an eye on our story line heroine, Sophie and Gabriel all but kidnap Fiona, and take her on their honeymoon to Malta, where Fiona will come face to face with Alessandro Falcone, the bane of our heroine’s existence. Refusing to play their game, believing there is no longer a threat to her life, Fiona continues to act out until she finds herself reliving the past over and over again but there is a war brewing in the criminal underworld, and our heroine is about to get caught in the middle, a pawn to be sold to the highest bidder. What ensues is the building but acrimonious relationship between Fiona and Alex, and the potential fall-out as Alex must come to terms about his birthright, and Fiona discovers the reason for her parent’s hatred.

The world building focuses on dysfunctional families including the revelations about the who, how and why. Fiona has always felt like an outsider, and she will discover the why; and Alex is forced to assume a role he was born to play.

The relationship between Fee and Alex is tempestuous at best. Fiona wants nothing to do with Alessandro Falcone, and struggles with her new brother in law’s attempts to protect and guard. Alessandro is a man who feels betrayals at the darkest regions of his heart but it is the betrayal that is about to place him in the direct line of fire, inciting a war between the controlling families. The $ex scenes are provocative and seductive.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and powerful secondary and supporting characters in several members of the Russian Bratva, Irish Mob and Italian Mafia including the return of Alex’s brother Gabriel and Sophie; Alex’s right hand man Matteo and his brother Vincenzo Salvini; Fiona’s sisters Jemma and Cara as well as their Uncle Craig; Fiona’s friend Frank, and Ivan Zotov. The requisite evil has many faces.

TAINTED DESIRE is a story of betrayal and vengeance, secrets and lies, power and control, dysfunctional family values, acceptance and love. The premise is dramatic, dark, and intense; the romance is fated and passionate; the characters are desperate and dynamic. TAINTED DESIRE ends on a bit of a cliff hanger-you have been warned.

Trigger warning was not warning enough. I feel like it was totally downplayed that there was a very explicit scene in the book.

I like the book. Fee was a strong women. Time and time again she shows that to her core she’s got a strong will.
She’s a Irish mob princess whose mom and dad have always ignored her. She besties with her cousin Sophie. Sophie just got married and she’s worried about leaving Fee at home. In comes the bright idea to drug her, kidnap her, and take her on Sophie’s honeymoon.

Alex is a jerk, but he totally owns that he’s a jerk lol. Jerkiness aside, he’s actually kind of cute with how well he cares for Fee. Yeah, he screws up but come on that’s par for the course with alpha-holes in romances. Alex is asked to watch over Fee and during a 24 hour period they go from hating each others guts to having feelings.

One thing that wasn’t resolved is that Alex vows to find the guys who raped Fee, but that plot lines just dropped when other dramas creep up. It kind sounds like the author just forgot about it all. Such vivid detail about the SA and then nothing comes of her experience. She’s just over it and having sex again. Weird!

Another thing, it kind of feels like the author was going to write 2 love interests for the h. Matt refuses to leave her side after the revelation of her rape, and then h goes on about how safe she feels sandwiched in bed between Alex and Matt. This then never leads any where.

Back to the whole trigger warning thing, Fee dreams of the sexual assault that happened in book 1 of the series. I jumped into this book unaware it was part of a series so wasn’t prepared for this flashback. Though the rape happens off scene, the gropping and harassment is vividly detailed. Readers easily triggered should be aware of this.

The book, at first didn’t grab my attention but then I got into it. Vince and Jenna sound like an interesting read and if book 3 was out I’d jump into it now. It’s not out though, so I’m going to give book 1 a shot 🤞I like it.

Action packed, page turner

This is book #2 of Kat Bammer's Ruthless Rogues Mafia series. Book#1, Sinful Honor, told Gabe Falcone and Sophies's story. Book #2 tells Alessandro Falcone (Gabe's brother) and Fiona (Sophie's cousin's) story. It picks up where book one left off... Fiona waking up in Malta. (Sophie and Gabe, worried about Fiona, who still seemed to be struggling after their experience with human traffickers, had decided to take her with them on their working honeymoon to Malta where his brother was currently overseeing their businesses there. Knowing she wouldn't go willingly, they'd drugged her and put her on the plane.)

Alessandro is put in charge of Fiona's. Not an easy, nor welcomng, task since their first meeting at the wedding didn't go well. Both took a dislike to the other. He thinks she's a spoiled, materialistic, irish mafia princess and she thinks he's a domineering, egotistical mafia brute. Both are going to realize how wrong they are; that the person they show to the world is merely a front. And both will come to realize the inner struggles each deals with. But they face many challenges.

Have to admit, after reading book #1 and getting to know these characters, I expected this story to go in a completely different direction. I expected just a spicey, alpha dom meets troubled, independent woman. What I got was so much more. Their emotions and struggles went so much deeper than just a clash of personalities. Neither did I expect the very real dangers they faced nor the twists and turns in this story. It all made this a big, hard-to-put-down, page turner. Loved these characters and never a dull moment in this story. 4.75 stars for ths one.

This was an ARC for review.
This book starts essentially where book 1, Sinful Honor, leaves off. I would recommend reading book 1 prior to this as characters and events are referenced throughout.
I enjoyed this book, and felt it was better than the first of the series. The story flowed well and characters were much more developed. I enjoy the dual POV, as the self-talk can be very enlightening from both sides.
Fiona is sedated and flown to Malta with Gabe and Sophie for their honeymoon. She is already furious about the situation before making contact with Alex, Gabe's brother. And as the great Eminem says, it was like a "tornado meets a volcano". The verbal sparring begins and does not let up throughout the entire book. Fiona is a force all her own and some of her snarky comebacks had me in hysterics.
Alex tries to fight his growing attraction by being a complete a** on multiple occasions, and Fiona put him right in his place. I would have like slightly more groveling on his part for behaving like a possessive caveman, but he does redeem himself in the end. The trauma of her past and from events in book 1 come in to play and Alex steps up as her protector/place of comfort. The attraction cannot be denied and they find themselves falling for each other despite fighting tooth and nail against it. They are both really just very insecure, damaged people trying to trust and love.
Plot twists, mystery, and suspense round out the story and make it that much more interesting. It is fast paced and a quick read. I would recommend this series and am highly anticipating the next book.

I loved this second instalment in the “Ruthless Rogues” series although I was glad I’d read “Sinful Honour” first as Tainted Desire” starts where the previous book finished. Events and characters from the first book are mentioned and both are an integral part of this book.
As with “Sinful Honour”, there are a few twists along the way mixed with some elements
of a typical Italian Mafia / Irish mob / Russian Bratva based story that you would expect to be included.
Alex and Fee have to be one of the strongest and most evenly matched couples I have come across in my reading. They are not afraid to go toe to toe with each other (literally at times) and each gives as good as they get. The comebacks and comments between the two had me chuckling on so many occasions. I have to admire Fee for “poking the bear” and I love her quick and witty responses. Poor Alex doesn’t really know what’s hit him. His emotions are all over the place and he manages to “put his foot in it” on more than one occasion! Full credit to the author for managing to inject so much humour into a novel about the Mafia.
However, at times I found both characters frustrating and wanted to shake some sense into them, particularly Alex. They are both so stubborn! I’m just relieved they came to their senses by the end of the book
There’s a good supporting cast of characters, especially Alex’s friend, Matteo, who features quite heavily and plays an important role.
Now… just what deviousness are Vince Salvini and Ivan Zotov up to?

Thank you for the early copy.

“I’ll burn down the world to get her back. And when I do, she’s going to be mine forever.”

Alex is an alpha-hole italian mob boss. Fee is a feisty Irish mob princess who will never back down from a fight. Put these two together and you have a sizzling enemies to lovers, fake dating but real f*cking, danger filled mafia romance. There is plenty of over protective alpha moments, snarky banter, all the touch her and d!e + mine vibes and rest assured, Alex will burn the world down to protect his princess.

Like any good mafia romances you of course get some kidnapping, dark moments (check those trigger on this one!), extra hot spice (Alex is a dom), all over the top alpha morally grayness plus some sweet moments make Alex extra delicious.

This is book 2 in the series and should be read after book one. Also, while this is 400+ pages, it is actually a quick read given the page layout of the text/spacing.

This is Book 2 in the Ruthless Rogues Mafia series. While this book is interconnected to Book 1 (Sinful Honor) it can be read as a standalone. Book 2 is the story of Fiona and Alex.

Alex and Fiona have a hate/lust relationship at first sight. The snark and banter between them add to the chemistry. However, the more they are around each other the lust takes over.

Both MCs have emotional baggage they are trying to deal with, and it impacts how they interact with each other and others. Alex dealing with the news he is the biological son of another mafia family and Fiona is dealing with several SAs that occurred off page when she and two of her cousins were kidnapped.

I love this author’s work. She writes strong plots with dominant alpha males who fall hard for the independent and sassy females. The book has action, vi0lenc3, t0rtur3, unaliving, twists and turns plus plenty of steam. Alex and Fiona are amazing together and burn up the pages. I cannot wait to read the next one in this series.

If you like mafia romance with plenty steam, action, witty banter and plot twists, this book and this series is for you.

Alex and fiona, my god from the start, this book had me laughing at fionas strong-willed personality, but alex kept her on her toes. I absolutely loved Gabe and Sophie's story and was so excited to read book two, I love Kat's writing style, which makes reading her books in under 24 hours so easy. You have a good amount of plot plus spice mixed in with parts of the book, leaving you on the edge of your seat.

For poor fiona she is kidnapped and thrown into the hands of her family enemy who mind you is very very FINE 🥵🥵 she tries her hardest not fall for Daddy Alex but come on who can say no to a man who calls you little fox and princess 🙊
Alex is a hot head who is too stubborn to realise he's in love with fee till it's too late but don't worry fee falls rights into his arms at the perfect time 😉 i loved this book finding out abit more of fee's story broke my heart but i was so happy she got her happy endding.

P.s. Im so hoping that the Zotov brothers get their own books 📚 🙊

I really liked this one although I was a little confused at times by the inside storyline but that my fault as I didn’t pay attention to this being the second one in the series.

I liked the mix of the Irish / Italian mafias with the sprinkle of the Russian Bratva.

Alex came across as a bit of a child at times and Fee as the bratty princess but the more I learned about them the more it made sense but again might have made more sense if I had read the other book. It will be read before the next one.

I have to say I really hated her dad but her uncle seemed sweet.

Franco instantly got my back up and I really didn’t trust him but I liked him by the end and i wouldn’t mind him getting a book of his own.

I really hope the Matteo finds someone that can knock him on is ass. He deserves happiness.

All in all it was a nice story with a HEA which is always good. Hopefully they will spill into the next one like Gabe and Sophie did in the one.

Annoying but a satisfying end

Heed the trigger warnings provided by those book because there are many.
This book was one that got me annoyed because, again, we have a young woman born in the mafia who seems confused about how the mafia works. Fee go into her into too many mishaps because she assumed she knew best when she didn’t.
Alex is part of the Italian mafia and straddling 2 families- one he was born into and one that had welcomed him in as family. He doesn’t like Fee but it’s because he’s attracted to her and doesn’t think she’s “serious”.
Anywho, it’s a lot of him being rude to her and hurting her feelings. Her being mad at him, running off to get away from him and then getting herself into trouble.
I also didn’t read the book before this one so there was some context that I’m missing, background that would have helped me understand the dynamics between everyone.
Nonetheless, I really want to read Jemma and Vince’s book, tho.

I highly recommend you to read Sinful honor the first book and then read this book because sone of the scene mentioned in that book will help you understand the relationship of Alex and Fiona.

This book had me laughing my ass off and it was Mafia and insta love and man Alex's mouth🤣🤣 gets him in trouble everytime he opened it.
Fiona is not your sweet caring type of girl nahhh she is a badass and she is gonna do whatever she likes. And when Alex say you can't do this she definitely do that thing🤣🤣. It was hilarious.

The relationship between these two was hands down the best portrayed. The spicy scenes were 🥵🥵🌶️🌶️🌶️

The end was a bit rushed but it matched the whole book and theme it was like the characters. A really fun read and definitely recommend ❤️

Omg I loved this book! Such a great action and complex characters. Thoroughly enjoyed it and couldn't put it down.

This was about Fiona the daughter of the Irish Don who fell for Alex from the Falcone and Moretti Mafia family.

The friction and push pull of the relationship was so fun to read as was the banter between Fee and Alex. They were like salt and vinegar, similar but still clash every chance they got.

Fee had to learn to stand up for herself and Alex learnt to find his patience and hold his temper. Always losing his temper was what caused a lot of issues.

So well written I honestly can't wait for the next in the series.

This was such a joy to read and I can't rave highly enough. Bring on the next book!.

*Arc Review*

The book is centered around Alessandro (Alex) and Fiona. Two very strong characters.

In the beginning, I was a little bit lost trying to figure them out. I read this as a stand alone and felt a prologue would have helped to get a bit of insight on them.

It starts with Fiona tagging along on her best friends honeymoon. Alex is brothers with her best friends husband. So, basically the husband assigns Alex to keep an eye out on Fiona. She was previously kidnapped and has a whole lot of trauma.

The book is pretty fast paced with a lot of banter between the two.

There's age gap, banter, enemies to lovers, a jealous Possessive and overprotective MMC...touch her and die vibe too.

Overall good read and spice 🌶🌶

My favorite character has to be Matt (Alex's best friend) who's fiercely loyal and just as overprotective of Fiona 😍

This was such a fantastic book that I loved reading the story, the story was written well and the characters were sensational. This story was about Alessandro Falcone (Alex), and Fiona (Fe) Fiona was on a rollercoaster emotions of bantering. Alex and Fe like each other a lot he needs her to be by his side. Alex a Dominant, alpha, bad boy Mafia male they need to build trust between them. When she was kidnapped she had night mares every night, he heard her crying out so he went into her room and put his arm around her to calm her down. Her father berated her and told her she was useless like her mother. Her father was Irish Mafia, Moretti Italian Mafia, Falcone Mafia family and Bratva, there is so many twist and turns.

Well this book was something else

I really loved the plot, the chemistry was obvious between the MMC and FMC

Both their traumas and struggles were explained, unfortunately not in detail but on the other hand it was good cause it leaves many things to the imagination and as it always is, you imagine the worst and imagination is more brutal.

The story with Alex and Fiona was really good and I enjoyed reading it. It was a fast burn and emotions flew immediately, personally for me, a little to fast, BUT I liked it.

And the strength Fiona was showing was a breath of fresh air, cause after the things she endured, most would just be closed of and worst case kill them self

A strong FMC is the best kind of character

This is book two in the Ruthless Rogues Mafia series. Alex and Fee's story. This story pulls you in from the beginning. The banter between the two characters as well as their stubbornness brings the story to life. Fee is forced to be a third wheel and then gets dumped on Alex to watch over. Let the games begin. Alex figures out that Fee suffered horrible trauma and while they continue to banter, he helps her overcome the triggers. Both have parent issues, and they traverse those issues together.

If you're looking for a book that will draw you in from the beginning and move quickly, make you laugh and scream, with fire and sass, this is the book for you. Read on Kindle Unlimited and am voluntarily leaving a review.

1st and last book by this author. This is poor Mafia soap opera. From page 1, these 2 are immediately bickering and fighting with one another, also known as 'chemistry' in Mafia books. But also so hot for one another; why? God forbid a reader might want some actual depth or character development to believe these 2. Silly setups. But I almost threw the book when she gets a call from Frank, "Fee, it's me. I'm in trouble. I need you to go with me to Sanctum, one of the sex clubs we talked about." Gee whiz, just after their enemies attack them, just after Alex is horrible (again) to her, just after her father calls her a whore. Sure, let's be TSTL and go out to a set up - I mean sex club. I skimmed through the story when I should have DNF.

Fiona, a mob princess is tagging along with Sophia, her cousin on her honeymoon. They had recently endured a traumatic experience, Sophia, Jemma, Cara and Fiona. No one has really talked about what happened?

Gabriel, Sophia’s husband has tasked Alessandro (Alex) with keeping an eye on Fiona. They definitely Do Not like each other or do they? Alex is dealing with an issue of his own but is drawn to Fiona somehow?

As things get heated, Fiona’s father sends for her and is planning an arranged marriage? Things get heated and complicated when Fiona finds out who she’s being married to and finds out her father is not her father?!

Definitely an enemies to lovers story. Loved it with all its twists and secrets. The banter was great!

"I'm the king of bad decisions, princess. One more won't hurt."
True to his word, Alex is the king of not thinking things through. With harsh words, rash decisions, and a quick temper, he manages to put his foot in his mouth more than once. Although it hurts our girl Fee, she proves strong enough to handle it and go toe-to-toe with our king of bad decisions. Just don't hold jumping out a window against her!😉 Tainted Desire is everything you want in a mafia book. Greed ✅️ Slight violence✅️ warring families✅️ the happily ever after? Ehh, they eventually get there so ✅️ !

“With a father who barely looked at me and a mother for whom I’d always been just an afterthought.”
I was so feeling the lonely emotions she was constantly fighting to keep at bay in her mind.

“Fee was mine. Mine to hold. Mine to touch. Mine.”
The light touches of Dom/Sub relation.

“I would skin them alive, let rats eat their flesh, and then feed them into a meat grinder, slowly, inch by fucking inch. ”
Love the unhinged vibez. And the fact that he realizes what she went through and makes his mission to help her heal and trust again in a man's touch, in HIS touch.

There is a delicious push and pull banter and her brattiness is a match for his domineering character.

I would say that for me it wasn't a problem that the book didn't had a short summary of the first book although it would provide depth. You can, however read this one on it's own.

- Dual POV
- Spice 2.5-3/5 🌶️🌶️
- Overall a 5✨✨✨✨✨ for me.

If you’ve read book 1 and thought Gabriele was stubborn, he’s got nothing on Alessandro. So many times I wanted to give him a good wallop. I really feel for Fiona, after everything she’s been through she just wants some love and understanding. Though Alex is nearly too late when he comes to that realisation.
Another twisty read in this series with some new characters introduced that I can’t wait to see where they take us next.

I received a review reader’s copy of the book, and I am leaving this review voluntarily

this book was a super fun read! very much a Mafia romance book but i really enjoyed it! many stressful points, obviously, but i also really loved watching (reading lol) the two MC falling in love. i really appreciate the parts involving the trauma and how Alex, the MMC, is able to help Fiona, the FMC. i loved Alex learning the Fionas triggers and him doing his best to help her! the only thing i kind of wished would happened is if this somehow turned into a throuple situation with Matt lol, but that just might be me. i am really looking forward to the next book!!
