What a lovely find; exactly what I needed to read after some very intense thrillers. I loved the way the author gives all characters their own voice. She's also a keen observer because I could really see all quirky and strange and interesting customers she describes.
A light mystery in all three titles gives these books some 'spice' so it's not all romance 😉 but I liked the ending after the third book.

I wasn’t aware of the author, Rachel Ward, but I’m glad I found her. I thoroughly enjoyed the books. One reason is that they were very British. I found myself looking up words on several occasions. The stories, to me, were refreshingly realistic. She was a friend to everyone in the end, but she and her one particular friend were always teaming up and made a great pair. There was a lot of intrigue and the endings were a surprise. Very enjoyable.

Endearing stories

I was captivated by these three down to earth stories. The characters were very interesting and entertaining. Bea worked at the local supermarket on the tills, and lived with her widowed mother. When strange things began happening around her town she joined forces with the local bad boy, Ant, to solve the mysteries. Very enjoyable stories.

Cozy,engaging and surprising

Didn't intend to buy this series but found myself wrapped up in the lives of these people very quickly and read non-stop through the third book. Can't wait for number four and hope they keep on coming.

Excellent read

Down to earth but with some twists and surprises, murder mystery at its most enjoyable.
Is there a nod to the 1970's school reading books about ant and bee I wonder...

The Complete Supermarket Mysteries Books 1-3

This was a really good group of mystery stories. The main character is always getting into trouble with her investigating. It was interesting to see what she would be up to next. If you like feel good mysteries, you will like these.

Really enjoyed this series.

Was not sure I would enjoy this but fell in love with the characters and the plots were good. It was almost like watching a mixture of a soap, a good comedy and a cozy but still exciting murder mystery. Unlikely heroes but all the more believable
