Twisting Time Forbidden City of Gold took me on a adventure of excitement, with amazing situations, making my heart race and had me captivated through out the whole book! This book deserves all five stars with added exclamation marks!!!

The Age Old Battle of Good vs Evil
As you read this book, be prepared to go on a journey that will challenge you into wanting to know more. This is fiction, never forget that as you read… but for prophecy buffs like myself, it just may have you wanting to seek out some truths that often are overlooked in today’s pulpits.
As you follow Blaine and Josephine along with Rose and George, it’s easy to wonder what if... what if these ‘adventures’ have some form of truth behind them? We see supernatural beings with supernatural abilities in a fight of good vs evil. We see our ‘human’ warriors in that fight…. no, they’re not fighting against flesh and blood, they are fighting the powers of darkness.
The question is asked… What exactly is The M Initiative? How has it remained a secret? Who are the real aliens? What was the plan of the Supreme Creator from the beginning? What are His intentions now, since the fall of Adam and Eve? Why did the lesser gods challenge the Creator and why did they hate His human creation? And, was George hiding something, if so what? And why did I feel something was off about Rose?
Just remember that this is fiction so don’t expect it to line up with scriptural integrity. But it just might have you wanting to know more about the supernatural…. the beliefs in the second temple period, the fallen angels, the Nephilim, or maybe the Devine Council. If this book whets your appetite, there are a lot of studies available about these things. Prepare to be challenged and just remember Ephesians 6:12— “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (NKJV)
… And never forget, you could be entertaining angels unaware (Hebrews 13:2)
🤔OBSERVATIONS:
✒︎ This book has many interesting actions and interactions between Devine forces, humanity and rebelling lesser gods. Tsk, tsk…. The Creator vs the fallen — game over!
✒︎ Time travel… will it be possible once we are outside of time?
✒︎ Demons… what are they and how did they come about? To operate do they have to inhabit a body?
✒︎ End-time events … He who knows the end from the beginning tells us to study to show ourselves approved.
✒︎ Love rules … The Supreme’s sacrificial love is stronger than the lesser gods desire for power and greed
✒︎ Tsk, tsk….. poor Rose needs to know the angels in Heaven do not marry… well, unless they are of the fallen so I must think those Devine Council beings don’t either, unless they chose to be a fallen
✒︎ Loved the 2Kings reference where Jerusalem was surround with no hope…. they retire for the night, awake the next morning and 185,000 enemy warriors are dead… 2Kings 19:35 relates the 185,000 but reading the entire chapter gives the ‘lead-up’ to that fateful event.
✒︎ It gets confusing trying to remember so many characters… between the humans, the false gods, the angels etc, it’s hard to keep up.
✒︎ This is slow burn, very slow burn, and tends to be wordy.

I received an ARC of this book through https://www.netgalley.com with the expectation of a fair and honest review. Opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own!
Four students about to graduate from the small Three Crosses College are invited into a secret organization. They are told that membership will open the doors to wisdom. The two young men and two young women train under the direction of the Son of All Days. He is known as Soal, and is a member of the heavenly council and works with the network of warriors across the universe. The first mission undertaken by the four is to find and retrieve a sacred amulet and deliver it back to the Supreme Creator. Their quest will not be straightforward.
I had to call a Rule of 50 on this novel after investing just over 2 hours. I went in knowing it was targeted at Young Adult readers. After spending time with the book, it felt more like it was targeted at the pre-teen audience. I also found the mixture of Christian figures (Supreme Creator, warrior angels, etc.) along with Greek gods (Hades, Persephone, etc.) confusing. I don’t like to quit a book, but this one was a waste of my time. Based on what I read (about 38%), I have to give this novel a rating of 2 out of 5.

A journey unlike any other you’ve read-complete with
angels, demons, Greek gods and the Supreme Creator.
Four college students embark on a journey to recover
a missing heirloom and to do so travel in space and back in time facing demons and Greek gods along the way. Love blooms for these two couples who face exciting challenges and obstacles in their quests and one who after all she has endured faces another test- probably the toughest of her life in trying to remember who she is and the experiences she has had with this group, one in particular of course, after sustaining a head injury!
There is action, adventure, intrigue and the flavor of times gone by as one minor Greek goddess is determined to have the heirloom for herself and marshals a force of her own to counteract the others!
I enjoyed this story and recommend it for everyone who loves action, adventure and the idea of time travel! That desire probably appeals to most of us- I know it did to me! It was just fun getting caught up in a well written fantasy novel!
Why not get this book and settle back for an adventure that you soon won’t forget!

Hm. I'm a bit unsure how to describe my experience of this book. On the plus side: it was very eventful, full of adventure, fast-paced, blended numerous perspectives, had many different interesting descriptions, included several thought-provoking ideas, and had time-travel (which is one of my very favorite tropes). On the not-so-positive side: it felt like almost too much to me. I felt a bit overwhelmed with all the different aspects that were introduced in this one book, some in rapid succession. I will note that many of the ideas and perspectives were things I've been introduced to before, so not all were new to me; yet, I found the pace of these introductions a bit too quick for me to absorb everything comfortably.
I did enjoy the characters and world-building, and I found that I wanted to know how everything was going to be resolved, so I would be open to learning more about this group of characters and their experiences if this should become a series.

This is the most powerful of all D. F. Jones’ tales; this story has more than one layer and all are a complete, well thought out story.
This tale is one of good verses evil that stretches from the beginning of time to now and beyond. This tale has demons, fallen angels, warrior Angels, gods, lesser gods and extraterrestrials, all involved in the universal never ending battle between good and evil.
The main characters are 4 college students, one Angel, a guide and an extraterrestrial. These seven must right an injustice committed before time when the gods ruled and complete a mission for our LORD GOD and defeat the fallen angels and demons
I can NOT recommend this tale strongly enough; it is special and I believe that this is Ms. Jones best tale to date.

Wow! This book has a little bit of everything- Supreme Creator, Angels, demons, lessor gods (think Zeus, Osiris, Persephone, Poseidon, Hades, Hercules, Ares, Anubis ), Magic and humans and above all love. Epic travels through time and space, coups and battles to be won in The forbidden city of gold, gladiator eras of Rome, plus being in a space ship. This was a fantasy lovers dream! I truly recommend this book and I can wait for more book from this author.

Twisting Time, an Audiobook by D.F. Jones is the story of Blaine and Josephine. Lots of action and adventure…time travel and a myriad of changes in the lives of a group of college students. While the story is well-written and exciting, there’s a bit too much theology and religion for my tastes. Nevertheless, it was a good story!
This Audiobook was narrated by Angela S. Clark who does an admirable job at retelling the tale!!

This was such a fun and exciting read! I am a lover of anything about Greek mythology and this one was right up my alley. This book had Gods, supernatural, a found family, time travel, battles, and a love story. If you like time travel to forbidden cities and times before the coming of Christ you will enjoy this one. I also liked the religous aspect of this book and of course the HEA!! This book gave me all the feels. Highly recommend!!

Gods, mortals and everything in between. This story weaves Greek gods, the bible and time travel all into one story and makes it believable. This is a love story between a man and a woman, but also between god and us. The story is very well written and I really loved the travel back in time and how the locations were described. What a wild story!

I'm going to start my review by saying that I am a Christian. I don't know if this affects my enjoyment of the book.
I love the way the book links "my" God and Greek Gods. The idea that they are all linked is intriguing and not something I've ever really considered,
It also tested my knowledge of Greek gods/myths/legends. Thankfully I have a Joshua who could keep me up to speed. It made me start thinking about some of them. Persephone trespassed in the underworld. As a punishment Hades made her his wife and kept her Prisoner. Is that fair? Did the punishment fit the crime? If someone trespassed now should the land owner be allowed to keep them prisoner?
Overall I loved this story. I found it exciting and couldn't wait to find out what happened next. I also found it quite comforting as the love God has for his people shone through.

I thought this was a nice read. For me it was all about the world building as that is what really drew me in. The mixing of the different Gods from the Biblical and Greek gods was a little confusing. Not that I did not understand the Gods but just felt like they did not blend together as well. I would have preferred one or the other types to be featured. Also, while this book was a fast read, I did feel like it was too fast. Where I did not have much time to process scenes before something else would happen. Sometimes, I would have to go back and reread to have that "ah ha" moment.
I thought Blaine, Josephine, Rose and George all handled being recruited into The M Initiative very well. They accepted what was happening and were ready to help fight. There is a bit of romance between Blaine and Josephine, which I thought the romance did not add anything to the story.
I will say that I did find the latter half of the story to be strong and better. I did find myself more engaged in the second half of the story. I could see teens and young adults may enjoy this book.

Magnificent
From the moment I picked up this book and started reading I could barely put it down. I read it with in 3days but really only hours do to work and needing sleep. This book was breathtaking and an adventure all in one! I have always been fascinated with Angels and Gods so to read this book made me feel like I was living it! Thank you!!
