It’s about 2 weeks before the wedding when Rita and Rhonda, along with their fiancées Billy and Zach find themselves up Alaska. Billy received an inheritance from a child hood acquaintance. His plan is to sell the 80+ thousand acres and go back to Cloverdale Falls, GA. As in the past, it happens to be another snowy wintery storm that keeps then stuck inside the lodge.

The lodge is run by two ex-cons who are unhappy to find out the land was given to Billy. Also staying at the lodge is a young woman, her brother and grandmother. Suddenly one of the guests is found dead so the Knight twins begin trying to figure out who the killer is. In the meantime, another killer is going after the men who have tried to purchase the land from the original owner before the two brothers running the lodge killed that owner.

Are the killings of the guest at the lodge and the other scoundrels connected? Read on to learn the answers.

This book finds our two couples in a bit of a situation. They are snowed in, fearing for their lives, and suspicious of everyone. Yet, through it all, Billy provides some comedic reliefs with his crazy kitchy sayings. While this tale is about two sisters and their fiancees, Billy seems to play a larger role. The author does a super job of that characters making him layered and fun. The sisters are in their 40's which seemed a little young to be retired but both are full of spunk and smarts.
The situation our teams finds themselves in could be daunting to anyone but this team proves that working together can solve problems.
I loved the ending. However, i question, is it the end or is it a new beginning or is it just a stop along the road to mystery. If you are a twin or have twins and love cozy mysteries, I would recommend this book. The twin thing that is talked about really shines especially in the end.

Rita and Rhonda Knight are in Alaska to get married. Now they are stuck at a lodge owned by two creepy old men. They were inspecting land that was left to Billy when they got stuck in a snow storm. The only thing coming out is doubts and questions. Why did Billy get left all the land? Does it really belong to the natives there? And can two old creepy men keep a lodge as pristine as it is? Two old creepy geezers, an ex con lawyer, a murder and gold. Is poor Billy living on borrowed time? Will the twins be able to keep him alive....especially since one of the twins, Rita, is engaged to dear ole Billy!?The plot is thickening and all the players are on the board. Billy may be a Georgia farmer but he is smart and he is coming up with a plan! The twins were police detectives for twenty years and they are in awe of his plan! The plot is laid, the plans are set...let the game begin and hope the heroes come out alive and fighing!
A fantastic mystery that will leave the reader cold and hot and hoping with excitement.

Murders Abound . . .

Rita and Rhonda Knight and their fiancées Billy and Zach are currently at a lodge in Alaska in the dead of winter. The winds howled as the storm raged around them. Billy had been given 80 thousand acres of land by Roger Edwards, a guy Billy went to high school with who suddenly died from a heart attack, so the four had traveled here to take a look at it, but getting lost in the snow put them here at the lodge. The guys were thrilled to go ice fishing, but the twins were aware they made no mention of their upcoming weddings. But Rhonda was at least grateful that if they had to get lost in a snow storm, at least they now had a bathroom!

And it looks like murder still follows them, but this time, the killers may outnumber the victims! What’s going on here? Who is killing off anyone who gets in the way? Will Rita and Rhonda figure it out before they find themselves on the hit list?

It looks like it may be the end of the road for Twin Berry Bakers Rita and Rhonda Knight.

As they are preparing for their happily ever after with Billy and Zach, they must first make it out alive from another cold filled adventure, this time in Alaska, surrounded by multiple killers.

Not knowing who they can trust except for each other, they and readers like myself, hoped for a return to cozy bakery at Clovedale Falls.

This cosy mystery is from the Twin Berry Bakery series.

I've read a few other books by this author, but none from this series. While this was a nice easy read, and I finished it, I just didn't really warm to the characters. I was indifferent to the characters and so I felt indifferent to the story. But I still look forward reviewing more by this author.

Thank you to Booksprout and the author for a free copy to review.

I love Wendy Meadows. All her books are great. This series is about twin detectives, Rita and Rhonda. The twins leave Clovedale Falls for an Alaskan retreat. The twins never thought such a small remote town could hold so many secrets. As the wedding for them draws near they must solve the clues to make sure that things go off without a hitch.

What happens when you send 2 seasoned ex-detectives to Alaska for a wedding celebration and trap them in a resort owned by a couple of very creepy men? Murder, that's what you get! They are also trying to find out who left Billy the land that they are checking out. Lots of questions and mysteries.

The mystery and intrigue has settled with the girls as they go to Alaska for their wedding. Hope that the author keeps the twin's story around for a little longer.
