At the age of six, Dick was given his first book by his father. It was Wind in the Willows. Naturally, that put Dick off reading for several years.

Kane Unhinged
By Dick Wybrow
If I am in a down mood, all I have to do is pick up a Dick Wybrow book, and all is well! 🤣 There is lots of action, shifters, enhanced beings, and plenty of humor! I can't get enough of this series! Love it.

Is this the end ?? Don't think so , but not sure 😁

Wow !!!!
This rollercoaster of a ride was one twisty, curvy, upside down, right side up , crazy ,action packed , hot mess !!!
Poor Emelda now has to depend on her nemesis Gregor, in order to find out where Kane is possibly being kept . Had she listened to me from the last book , Kane never would have went !!!! But, alas, she couldn't hear me !! 😄😄😄
As Emelda and Gregory navigate the many mysteries of the Enhanced program, there are even More questions .
I enjoy the nuances of Emelda and Kane as they talk to themselves. A few of their opinions had me cracking up !! Also, A few of the descriptions had me re reading over and over again until I could figure it out !! All in all a very entertaining 3rd book in this crazy series !!! The book does move rather slow until the action finally picks up . I have no idea if there will be a next book , but i suspect there will be !!

More monsters

Emelda is determined to find Kane and rescue him from Dr. Hammer. With the help of an enemy turned frenemy and a new questionable friend, she just might pull it off. I really loved the storyline in this book and am totally enjoying the series. I cannot wait for the next book.

Lions, Tigers & Bears? Not quite.

Book 3 in the Wolfwere series. If you have not read the first two (and plan on doing so), some of this MIGHT be a spoiler. I will try not to spoil book 3 in this review, but it may spoil the previous books.
So, end of book 2, Kane has been promised a cure. Of course, we all (as outsiders) know that Kane has been lied to. He’s just innocent enough to believe Dr. Hammer. Doesn’t explain why Emelda doesn’t catch on right away, maybe she’s just tired? Anyway, book 3 finds Emelda with an unlikely ally (or two) in the race to find Kane and rescue him. Meanwhile, we find the extent of what Dr. Hammer is doing to Kane, and getting frustrated because he won’t give her the answers to what she’s asking. Dr. Hammer wants to know what makes him change into what Emelda has dubbed “Wolfwere”, and he’s telling some awesome tales. Apparently, Dr. Hammer didn’t watch all the great 80’s TV shows that Kane did, or she would’ve realized he wasn’t telling her the truth.
Another great story, engaging from start to finish, with the proper amount of humor.

I am only giving this book three stars. It is the third in the series, and while I enjoyed numbers 1 and 2, I had a lot of problems getting into this book in the beginning. I started it several times, only to put it down to read something else. It was only after I managed to get to the half way point that I started to get into it. Emelda and Kane were separated at the end of book 2, and this book is all about her search for him. It isn't until about the last 10 pages that she finds him, and then we find out that there is yet another book to be read until we finally (maybe) get to the end.

Another amazing story!

This one hurt to read parts of it. You want to fast forward past the torture, because it is so well written that it angers you to just sit back and witness the pain. The struggle on both sides was like witnessing a couple of people running a gauntlet in two different ways. One is mental and the other is very physical. When the sparks flew I yelled out "Yes!" and my thrust fisted hands in the air. Again, the story wrapped me up and carried me with it. This series does not disappoint. 👏🧡

Edge of your seat suspense

Kane and Emelda take separate but eye-opening journeys in this installment of the series. This series is truly like watching an action packed TV show. This series is giving me life! I loved the glimpse into Kane's past. It explains a lot about who he has become. I loved Emelda's unwavering devotion to her friend. I'll even admit that Gregor started to grow on me. There are still so many questions and I can't wait to see what lies ahead for our daring duo.

Kinda loving this series

This book had quite a bit more humor than the last one. Lots of Kane flashbacks have some good insight. Emelda is a bada$$. For a small human, she keeps up with the enhanced very well. And both Gregor and Marata were a surprise in this book. I’m wondering if Marata will appear again. And now Kane and Emelda are off for their next adventure. Can’t wait.

Honestly, this is not a genre I ususally read. The advert for it was intriguing and I bought the first then the next tw0. They are gorey but stinking funny at times, sarcastic and compassionate also. Takes me through the whole gambit of emotions.
I wish Emelda's hair was not blue. Not myfavorite color. I love the innocence that Kane has.
If you can handle heads being ripped off of monster people, you will enjoy this read.

Great Book. Highly recommended.

I was lucky enough to be a Beta reader of this book and was not disappointed. The book will keep you on the edge of your seat. It had a great flow and of course it's loaded with Dick's humor.

My only critique would be it's best if you've read the first two books in the series else you might be a little lost.

Good

Good but not as the previous ones, for me. It's a question of personal taste, I know, but there were too many flashbacks that kind of looks like dreams, sometimes. And, unfortunately, that's a kind of narrative that doesn't suit me that well. Appart this, the rest was excellent.

At the end of book 2, Kane and Emelda parted ways as he went off with Dr. Hammer. We learn more about Kane's life prior to meeting her while she is searching for him with the help of some untrustworthy allies. It's just as good as the previous two, with plenty of action, humor, and tense situations.

Exciting

The third book in the Kane series and another brilliantly paced installment. Loving the characters created in this one, especially Marata and I hope we haven't seen the last of her. Just a short review here but if you are reading this, start with book 1, you won't be sorry. I'm getting stuck into book 4 right away.

This one definitely slides further into the horror genre than the others…. But I don’t want to have spoilers.

I’m still loving this series, and I’m not a big horror reader. This book didn’t have as many laugh-out-loud moments but it was definitely enjoyable. Seeing the backstory of Kane while enjoying who he is currently was fun. Very well written and can’t wait to keep reading in this series.

Doggone Good

Wow, this third of the series is no let down at all. The hair on my arms stayed raised pretty much all the way through. The author is really good at building suspense and also at raising compassion levels for some unlikely and unlikeable characters. It's really a good series!

I was lucky enough to receive an advanced copy for this second book in the series. It was even better than the first. It had action, supernatural, humor and friendship all wrapped into this thriller. The characters are well developed snd and likable. A great read!

This might be my favorite of the series so far. The character development is well done and gives us a deeper insight into them. The relationships and bonds between the characters is explored and deepened well. All this while maintaining a fast-paced, intriguing plot. Really well written 👏

yikes!!!

I am afraid leaving people from either side alive in this science fiction super soldier nightmare world is going to result in major life complications.

Thank you, Dick Wybrow, for this entertaining and - yes - captivating riff on a Beauty and the Beast buddy tale.

Kane Unhinged

Emily becomes partnered with Gregor as they search for Kane and Doctor Ilsa Hammer. A trip to an abandoned factory followed by a trip to a Zoo that is straight out of Dr Moreau leads them to another facility where things come to a head.

I described this book to someone as "silly fun". You have to totally suspend disbelief to follow the plot. How can an international gang of super-villians be so inept? I liked the glimpses of Kane's early life. Emelda is totally bad-ass!!
