A Little Christmas: Logan's Secret

Rate this book
Daddies are like snowflakes; no two the same, melt when touched, and love getting blown.
When Logan Locke receives news of his estranged father's passing, he's forced to confront a lifetime of buried emotions. The walls he’d built around his heart, funded by his father's wealth, begin to crumble.

Silver fox, Tom Hamilton is there to witness Logan break. As acting CEO of the Locke Property Group, Tom is there to help Logan get his father’s affairs in order.

Overwhelmed with relief, Logan no longer has to hide the little that he is, but at 28, he still feels shame from his father’s neglect. And expensive ornaments begin to look like cheap therapy.

As Logan and Tom explore the old mansion, they discover a secret garden, and they have more in common than they first thought.

With a sprinkle of snow, the scene is set. Will Tom’s Daddy energy fill a void in Logan’s life? And can Logan let his inner little’s Christmas lust out?

A Little Logan's Secret is part of A Little Season Two 2023 multi-author series with themes loosely based on the classic book The Secret Garden. Each book in A Little Christmas is a standalone. But each boy is silly, unique, lovable, and downright adorable, so why not read them all.

Heya! I'm Joe Satoria, I write sweet and spicy MM romances.

I mostly write Daddies and D/s dynamics in my pairings... some soft and sweet, other dark and dangerous.

As a queer person using he/they pronouns, I am an own voices author, which means you're reading through the eyes of lived experience... only the gay relationships part, definitely not the dangerous Daddies... oops!

Logan Locke receives news of his estranged father's passing and is forced to confront all the buried emotions in his life. As he does the walls around his heart a forced to crumble and silver fox Tom Hamilton is there to witness it. Tom is the acting CEO of the Locke Property Group and is there to help Logan get his father's affairs in order and ends up finding Logan's Little side and becoming his Daddy. As Logan and Tom explore the old mansion, they discover a secret garden, and they have more in common than they first thought.

This was a charming story of a neglected son who was a Little to relieve stress and a caring Daddy who was able to help with all aspects of Logan't life. It also gave them the time to fall in love. This was a light and easy read with lots of complicated emotions as Logan worked his way through his childhood and the way his father treated him. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BSDM-like DDLB dynamic.

This one reminded me the most of A Secret Garden. Logan Locke has just lost his father, the owner/head of Locke industries, making Logan an instant billionaire with a capital B. Problem is Magnus Locke sent Logan to boarding school in London when he was eight right after Logan's mother died. He had no contact with Logan since except for a letter on Logan's 21st birthday, letting him know Logan now had access to his trust from his mother. Logan is understandably resentfull and wants nothing to do with the company, that is until he meets the CEO Tom Hamilton. Tom helps Logan deal with his grief and frustration, and his loneliness. I really liked this story. I liked that Tom had a teenage daughter first time a MC was a dad for me. Logan is a very sympathetic character, you truly felt his pain, and celebrated when he found moments of happiness.

Quick holiday read with Logan finding his Daddy, and seeming to actually mature a bit under Tom’s influence once he got to express some of his anger about his father. Sharing memories of his mother with Tom appeared to settle Logan, he must not have had someone he was close to growing up that he could share all the things he missed, and finding one of her possessions he could keep with him became a calming and stabilizing influence. I enjoyed the story, but wish another edit for typos and missing or incorrect words had taken place before release, as I found those errors distracting me from the story at times. I do enjoy this author’s characters and stories, so will keep my 4 star rating while noting the errors. Fun read for the holiday season

Enjoyable story

Logan has to come to New York for the reading of his father's will. There he meets James, the new CEO of his father's company. They didn't expect to bump into each other at a kink club, but sparks fly and they decide to play together. I liked how James naturally cared for Logan, even when they weren't being Daddy and boy. I liked that Logan was very generous with his money by donating gifts, volunteering his time, and wanting to start a charity in honor of his mom. I also enjoyed the secret garden aspect of the story.

Sorry, Joe

I just couldn’t get into it. I get that this is like novella length, but the pacing was too fast, too convenient, too pat. Add in the myriad typing and grammatical errors and the mood was killed. My GoodReads highlights are all suggestions for grammatical fixes, even a possible copy edit or two along the way for poorly turned or confusing phrases.

Quick, sweet read

Loved the way the daddy character was there to support his boy. There were a few typos and this is an instalove, so the MCs fall in love quickly. There is mention of the deaths of parents.

Surprising and heartwarming!

Logan as the only heir is in a tough situation for which he’s had no preparation. Enjoy how Tom and Logan find their own unique way to handle the stress of their new situation and to enjoy the steamy moments of their growing attraction!!!

It was easy to see how Logan was a bit lost with the way his life has gone. Tome is the right person at the right time. They fit each other well. This is the start of a new relationship.
