Freaking fantastic! One of the best mafia books I’ve read in awhile. It had it all, an arranged marriage, a dark callous hero, an innocent heroine, some really good ow drama, betrayal & secrets! I absolutely loved it all.
At first I wasn’t crazy about Haven. I thought she was too naive & acted like a giddy 13 yr old instead of the 21 yr old woman she was. But she very quickly grew on me & I really liked her by the end. I loved Demetri’s darkness & ott protectiveness he had for Haven. But I mostly liked how he saw her insecurities & made her feel beautiful.
My only complaint about the book was how quickly the issue w/Tegan was forgotten about. She was never dealt w/& I couldn’t believe that after everything Haven over heard she just got over it the next day & never confronted Demetri about it. She heard him admit that Tegan was the best he had, that should’ve been enough to make her run. And the fact Tegan claimed to be pregnant w/Demetri’s baby should’ve been devastating for her, but she fell in bed so easily with him the next day. At that moment I wanted her to be stronger & tell Demetri to go f himself and walk away.
This was an incredible book & I can’t wait for more f/Michelle! Kinda hoping for a Cillian & Paisley story!

This one was a dark and action packed ride along with Demetri and Haven.

Haven has always led a sheltered life. After seeing her brother with different women, she would rather save herself for the one who would have her heart.

I'd already met Demetri in the previous books as he is one of the caporegimes working for the Heart Family.
Demetri is instantly taken by the meek girl he meets at the party but as a dominant man he expects his woman to belong to him and only him while also loving to have her bend only to him.

Haven doesn't know what to make of the powerful man who is suddenly pursuing her while she was on one of her harmless wild outings with her cousin, Ciaran.

It all starts with a wager lost and before Haven knows what she has gotten herself into, she finds herself getting all the more entangled with this powerful man who demands things from her that she's never done in her life yet finds herself thrilled to embrace the same.

Demetri is a man who has worked hard to reach where he is at today and even though he had never thought he would ever settle down, he never expected a woman to challenge him as much as Haven does.

And she does challenge him well because Demetri was one heck of a man who totally got on my nerves at times because of his - It's my way or the highway approach.

Their chemistry was my goodness 🔥 and will spontaneously melt your panties right off with some of the things they do...oh my... Especially that little bit of 𝗌𝖾𝗑𝗒 surprise - I absolutely loved it and especially because it came out of the blue. Like I said, 🌶️🌶️🔥🔥🔥 times.

The story perfectly balances the hot passionate relationship between Demetri and Haven while also taking us on a ride that is full of suspense, packed with action and secrets. Definitely looking forward to more from this series.❤️❤️❤️

Shattered Diamonds is a story that kept me glued to the pages until 3am in the morning, this is a book that literally couldn't be put down. The storyline and the characters occupied every thought I had and just would not let go. Demetri is the epitome of an alpha, a straight talker who makes no apologies, if you don't want to know the truth then do not ask him the question. His character was intense and his strength and power radiated off every page. My feelings for Demetri Carbone flicked between love and hate as his ruthless and possessive nature reared full force when it came to Haven. Haven was submissive and innocent and at times she was a little immature based on living such a sheltered life. However her sassy mouth and the push backs she gave were entertaining and showed that this young woman had a backbone and strength that just needed to be nurtured. The secrets that lie between them could be the breaking point where their worlds collide and everything comes to the surface. This story took you to a depth of darkness that consumes you but also shines a light on love in a whole different way. These two had me holding my breath, my heart beating fast and my pulse racing as the twists and turns of the story take place. My heart shattered for Haven at times as the chaos unfolded, however it was the declaration made by a powerful man that stole my heart. A storyline that is filled with every emotion and heat that will sear your skin as these two take what was a contract and make it so much more. My only negative thought on this story is that I wanted more. Demetri and Haven took hold of me in a way I did not think possible and pulled me into their world with such force that leaving it was something I just didn't want to do.

Demetri Carbone made a perfect dominant and possessive hero in Shattered Diamonds and in Haven he found the perfect submissive, a girl who was willing to let him dominate her and enjoy every second of it, but she also came with an inner core of steel that most people didn’t realise she had, that left her more than capable of fitting in with his dark and dangerous world. There was fantastic chemistry and dynamics between this couple and with an action-filled story with plenty suspense and plot twists, this author has proven she is up there when it comes to writing dark mafia romance. My one niggle with this book would be that I felt it ended a bit abruptly and I would’ve liked an epilogue.

Demetri Carbone is a top caporegime, and he is utterly ruthless and powerful, yet dominant and brutal. I loved to hate him. But mostly freaking loved him!

Demetri actively pursues the very innocent and beautiful Haven.
She is pure and untouched by the world she grew up in. Demetri sets out to open her eyes to new things, including dark and dirty erotic side of hotness.

This book was thrilling. Not just thrilling it was epic. I ate up every word. Demetri truly was a man you can love to hate, but hell, I couldn't help but love him. He was brutal, demanding, and everything I love in an MC. Haven really was innocent, but it really wasn't her fault. I loved the connection between them. It was not just sexual.

The added danger in the story sealed it for me. I freaking love it. The suspense always gives me a kick.

I had a hard time rating this book. On the one hand, I really didn't like a lot of things throughout this book. Then, on the other, I couldn't put it down. Maybe I was hoping I would get something more or if it of I kept on reading. This is a long book with over 500 pages, but I still wanted something more or if it.

The spice level was on point. There were some very spicy moments in this book, and I enjoyed that. I also enjoyed the suspense because even though it left me wanting more, it left me hanging on. I also enjoy books with possessive Alpha Doms. Demetri is a possessive Alpha Dom, and that in itself is hot.

Haven is the daughter of the head of the Irish Mob. She is an innocent, very sheltered girl. Even though she's in her 20s, she acted like a giddy, giggly girl. She had stayed a virgin because she had watched her brother go through so many women. She is supposed to be smart and knows a lot, but I didn't get that. She really did it as immature with no backbone. There are certain times in this book where she should go tell Demetri to F off. She does have a sassy mouth with Demetri but gave in so easily. I would have liked to have seen her fight back. Especially for herself if nothing else.

Demetri is attracted to Haven really because of her innocence. He's very dominant and wants to mold Haven into the submissive he wants. He loves that she is full figured. That makes me happy when an author writes about full figured women. You don't see that enough, in my opinion. Demetri is very possessive and protective over Haven. Which in most cases is hot 🔥. He can't stand another make to touch her or even look at her. There is a certain scene which is in the tropes that didn't make sense. If Demetri is so possessive over Haven, why would he allow that part to happen? I mean don't get me wrong, that scene was spicy 🌶🥵 and I enjoyed it. Just didn't go along with his possessiveness.

Also with the OW...wtf? That is the part I wish Haven would have had a backbone over. She listened to everything and what Demetri said about his ex being the best he's ever had. I wish Haven would have done so much more with that. If course she doesn't and falls right into bed with him the next day. Then the issue with the ex, or just went unresolved.

Now, I did like this book. I just didn't like certain parts and the way the characters were during these parts. This book did have me reading it all because I wanted to know what was going to happen. How was this going to turn out? What is he/she going to do when they find out.
I enjoyed the suspense and the thrilling parts. I love a mafia romance that has more than just the couple screwing each other all the time.
Oh, and let's not forget the spicy parts. I'm a sucker for that. Give me thrill, give me crime, suspense, and spice. I'm a sucker for all of it. I just felt like there was something missing by the end of it. I wanted more even though the author gave us a lot. Or felt like it was not finished. I would have liked an epilogue or something. Just to see where this headed. Maybe there will be more of this couple in another book.

I wanted to DNF this so many freaking times, i still have no idea why i didn't trust my instinct and follow my gut.
It was such a long book , i lost a lot of time because always i lost interest and toke brakes or i rather do better stuffs.
There are so many of my pet peeves in this one.

First thing firsts.... this h is so naive, and stupid.
Second thing, the build up SUC*s even if it's a long book, something was missing in it,
their interest didn't seem genuine, or him trying to be this ''dom'' but honestly just made me cringe, i didn't feel like it. It was all weird.

I knew why he was after her but i didn't get why her should be, i mean, i don't even know why she accepted to be a fiance and a wife because there wasn't even that big of connection or heck so much lust she will be brainless . MEEEEEH

The thing that bothered me most from the beginning tho???? it was her checking guys out,dancing with guys,then of course this H man like WTF??? he check a few out too before being invoved with her but he? come on now....

He says he is possessive and jealous but he shows her naked multiple times, around his friend too, heck at 85 % he lets her give a BJ and kiss his friend and he lets him go down on her (i'm glad i started skipping half into it because i had a feeling, but i still hoped it will not be like that) 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

The wrong italian....i don't understand why this authors don't check with a native speaking to make sure it's right.

Their interactions always su*ked, didn't feel genuine, i didn't feel any connection with them at all...

I honestly don't know why i bothered reading this much from it, lol.

I reread the first two books in the series before reading this third book. While I basically liked the series, I'm a little conflicted about this third book for a couple of reasons.

First, I'm not sure how the Demetri of the first books turned into this man. In the first books, while all the men in the organization were close, it seemed like Antonio and Giovanni were definitely higher up on the ladder and Demetri always seemed like more of an order taker. Now he suddenly had this whole diamond thing under his wing. It just seemed so sudden.

Second, He's a Dom ..... with the other men referring to him as the biggest dominant of them all. Most of the dark romances with BDSM that I've read, when the dominant is also the hero of the story, the Dom always takes great care of his sub and almost acts as if the sub really runs the show due to her permission to be dominated. This book just makes such a deal about Demetri liking the fact that Haven is so young and virginal, and he can train her right from the start as a submissive. To me, he sort of just ordered her around from the start without ever telling her why and discussing the lifestyle with this innocent girl .... Or getting her consent to what relationship was going to be. Yes, you can write it as a case where he "gets" her and "knows" what she wants sexually .... but he still should've asked her.

Finally, I have read MMF books in the past so I am aware there are relationships were the males share the female. But Demetri is so jealous of guys just looking at her, and ruthless/unforgiving if they touch her, it just seemed strange to me that he would share her at all with Luca. I can see that the guys shared women that they considered just "arrangements", but it struck me as false that any of them would share their wives in that same way.

I think I saw somewhere that her next book will be about Luca, and I'm looking forward to it!!

I finished this a few days ago, and I've been sitting with it. Although some parts didn't work, I still enjoyed this because of its entertaining factor.

This is the story of Demetri, one of the top caporegime for the Heart family. Heart arranged for Demtri to wed Haven, a 21-year-old inexperienced young woman who had a backbone when she needed it and none when she should have. Don't mistake me... I loved all the pushback she gave Demetri. She comes across some extremely uncomfortable truths and information in a scene and breaks down. The fallout was not realistic, but since the book was already over 400 pages, a realistic fallout could have extended its length.

I enjoyed the spice of their relationship, although it wasn't as spicy as I expected. I also appreciated Demetri's honesty with Haven. There was a certain gentleness with which he handled her in certain situations. The author did a good job of demonstrating how much Haven's family protected her in moments like those. She also did a good job of showing how much Demetri has evolved. He maintained his badass persona, but he was good with Haven.

The suspense factor of this story was almost effective, but it was concise and wrapped up effectively. In fact, the ending was quickly wrapped up, which is fine. Some earlier moments in the story could have been dedicated to the conclusion, or the ending could have been expanded upon. An epilogue would have made the story more fleshed out.

This is a standalone book, but reading the previous two books is beneficial to familiarize yourself with the characters.

I had a hard time deciding how many stars.

it's well written but more typos than I can tolerate without being annoyed.
I did not like the controlling character of Demetri, at the beginning with the bet and everything it was too much for my linking and Haven was way too innocent. I understand she was sheltered but she is supposed to be smart and supposedly understands their world. I did not see that.
Because of the description I was constantly waiting for his betrayal, but it was so late into the book, that I wondered when it woukd happen all the time.
There was no real altercation, she was dumb and did not think at all. I don't have any understanding for what she did and how fast they recovered in their relationship.
Their smex is seriously good. and there I liked Demetri mist of the time, it was so 🥵
Overall was the ending too fast resolved to make me really anxoius. And everything made just poof and they had a happily ever after... There I would have wanted something more intricate.
But if you mostly care about Demetri and Haven and their relationship, go for it!

I did not want to put this book down. I read the story in a couple of hours and just wanted to know how it was going to end. However when it did end, I just wanted more. I am intrigued with Demetri, there's some scenes in the book that are so unexpected for mafia man, it's not like anything I've ever read before. Oh my God chemistry between Demetri and Haven was out of this world you will enjoy every part of this book.. Michelle did an amazing job with the book I cannot wait to read more books by her. This is my favorite book in the series, I think you should reading all three of them just so you can compare but Demetri is it for me.

Damn..... New Obsession Unlocked..... Demetri Carbone.
I could not get enough of the top capo for one of the most feared Don's in New York City.
This man is the whole mafia package. He's powerful, brutal, fearless, ruthless, OTT protective and deliciously dominate.
Some of the things this man did and said had me laughing, swooning and/or feeling all the feels!!!!
I mean.... the man said he was taking on a date to a museum and instead he took our naive virgin heroine to the museum of sex education... hehe... Love Him!!
Personally, for me, Haven was a heroine that my feelings continually changed for. I liked her she, she frustrated me, I felt for her as she was raised so sheltered, my heart ached for her when secrets were revealed, she annoyed me and finally I ended the story liking her, in particular for Demetri.

It may have been arranged but I loved how Demetri felt about Haven from the beginning and his nicknames for her.... swoon!
Their journey... their story.... was one that I really enjoyed. It had mafia drama, humour, violence, twists and turns, some spice, a little angst and some serious Demetri swoon.
I can't deny that I wish we got a little more of them, I wasn't ready for it to end.

Hopefully there will be more Bleeding Hearts in the future!!

I just love mafia romances, and this one had me hooked!

ARC review:
A lot of action in this one. Dark mafia is one of my favorite romance genres to read, and I’m very excited about having read this one, by a new to me author. Demetri is instantly hooked on Haven, but Haven is a lot more reserved and innocent in some ways, so he really has his work to do to get Haven as his completely.

Demetri Carbone is a capo, who has really earned his place in the hierarchy, but Haven just might be his biggest challenge yet. Haven doesn’t really know what she has gotten herself into, and her innocence and somewhat naivety clearly shines through at times. She still manages to hold her own most of the time, but she also is really quick to forgive and move on. I love a strong mafia anti-hero with strong ‘touch her and die’ vibes and a possessive streak a mile long, but it is also a bit frustrating at times, and I really wanted Haven to stand her ground a bit more.

Their chemistry was hottt, and there is also a solid connection between them. The plot was filled with action, suspense and secrets - and this story also dives into the darkness, but with some light and a lot of love shining through. The story pulled at my heartstrings at times, and I was very involved in this story and this whole world the author has created. I really wanted more!

I think this was the first book I had a hard time deciding the rating for, but overall it was a good book at the end after a few chapters the story picked up.


Haven and Demitri have an arranged marriage, where Haven is so innocent while Demitri is Dark and possessive. While you might get annoyed with Haven at first I can assure you, you will learn to like her and get to know her more and more as the story develops. While for Demitri I had a love and hate relationship with him. I swear I would love him and then he would do something and I would be like WTH! lol. Haven did disappointment me slightly at a point but I moved on just like her (iykyk 😂 ).

Over all this story is filled with drama, great chemistry, some great spice (DOM-SUB), full of twists and turns, secrets and BETRAYAL.

At the end it was a great book that made you feel all kinds of emotion which is a must for a good book!

Demetri is everything you want in a capo. Ruthless, dominate and over the top protective. I didn't start out liking Haven. Even knowing she was raised sheltered...she was OVER THE TOP sheltered. It just didn't seem possible for her to be that sheltered yet having gone to college and being a ballet dancer. She grew on me some; however, I still didn't end the book in love with her character. Demetri I was in love with from the start though. The way he handles their first meeting was literally EVERYTHING! I love how he proceeded to date Haven even though there was obviously an arranged marriage situation. Turns out it was a bit undermining and to his own detriment. It worked out....eventually. I am absolutely not okay with how the book ends though. It just seemed a little rushed or abrupt. While the story is obviously completed...I wish it would have flowed into a natural ending. No matter what, I liked the book. Demetri is worth it!

At the beginning of this book, our innocent FMC, Haven, is unaware her brother arranged a marriage to our MMC, Demetri, when she meets him. Demetri plays his role as he lets their "dating" happen organically. Because her father kept her in the dark about the mafia lifestyle, she's angry, hurt and humiliated when she learns the truths her brother, cousin and Demetri have been keeping from her. She's suffered from self-esteem issues all her life so those doubts add fuel to her wrathful reactions. You felt her pain as she grappled with trying to figure out what parts of her life were true or whether everything was a lie. I really liked Demetri and how he interacted with Haven and protected her. There are a lot of subplots that add intrigue to this story which makes the climactic ending that much sweeter.

This was so good and had me glued to it!

Haven wasn’t my favorite in the beginning with how young and naive she was being but I also understand and she grew on me.
Demetri from the start had me blushing and giggling like a school girl. I love how he handled Haven and made her feel beautiful in her own skin.

Their story was fun, fast paced and the ending had me on the edge of my seat! It was a bit rushed at the end but overall I’m happy with it.

I do think the issue with Tegan was brushed over fast and forgotten about but I’m glad it circled back to her and we got answers in the end.

This was a great spicy mafia read! These mafia men are something else and not everyone will like these books but if you like possessive, dominant men who give the vibe “mine” and then some then this book is for you.

Book 3 of the Bleeding Hearts series and boy it did not disappoint. Diving back into the dark mafia romance we know and love. With intense suspense, spice that is off the charts, and a dish of lovable characters, it’s absolutely flawless and satisfying.

Demetri is a dom and shows Haven a side of her she didn’t know existed. She has her insecurities stemming from a life of being sheltered and closely protected. Demetri is the enforcer of the Heart family mafia and he’s fallen hard for our innocent FMC.

This book is fantastic! And highly recommend! 💫

This is the third book in this impressive series, and this is Demetri and Haven’s journey.
Demetri is the most fearless and lethal Don in New York City, and he is powerful, ruthless, savage, and possessive, and when he is tasked by his boss to court Haven, he is relentless in his pursuit. Haven is innocent and insecure, and as a submissive she complements Demetri perfectly.
This is a well written story which is an action packed, emotional roller coaster, with secrets, lies, betrayal, drama, arranged marriage, suspense, danger, intrigue, romance, and love, which leads to a twisted, unpredictable, and thrilling page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I absolutely loved this book! It is the 3rd book in the Bleeding Heart series. It is not necessary to read the previous 2 books.

Haven comes from a mafia family and has been sheltered. She has not experienced much in her life. Demetri is one of the most ruthless men in the Heart Organization. You might not always like him, but he is 100% honest.

There are events that occur in this story, I never saw coming. It kept me hooked from early on! I would’ve liked more from the ending. Hopefully, we get to see this couple in future books in this series. I’m dying for Luca to find his woman!

WOW....This was such an emotional roller-coaster. The writing was so good, once I started this book it was so hard for me to stop until I was finished and I was enthralled the entire time. Haven..I love the name of the FMC, I love who she becomes to the MMC - it is perfect. This book was everything I love, Mafia...Age-gap...spice....arranged marriage (only MMC was aware of at the time)...tension. This was the first book I read from the author and of the series and I LOVED it. READ. THIS. BOOK.

Demetri & Haven🔥

This series gets better & better with each book. The Bleeding Hearts series is an Italian Mafia series. Shattered Diamonds is Demetri & Haven's story. Demetri is a capo in the Italian Mafia. Haven is the sister & daught of the leader of the Irish mob. This is an arranged marriage that the FMC did not know about at first. It is kept from her deliberatly by everyone at first. I absolutely loved Demetri’s possessive & obsessive behavior over Haven. I can not wait for Luca’s book.

I had to skip more than halve of the book to get something. The way they built their relationship is unbelievable and fake. No one could possibly love someone this way and feel connected to your lover. The way the book ended was fast. Sex scenes didn't help this book at all . Some of those scenes are forced I mean no need. Sex scenes should help me feel the connection between them which is far . This book needs to be written again

This is a new to me author and what a great find she is! Shattered Diamonds is
Demetri and Haven's story and it's a fantastic introduction to this authors work. Demetri is an absolute perfect picture of an alpha male Haven is the perfect woman for him. This couple has tremendous chemistry and their journey will have you biting your nails from the very beginning.

better than the first

I was hesitant to read this book after reading the first one in the series because I really didn’t like it, but this one was better. I tended to like Demetri more than most characters, and Haven was decently likable as well. It’s still not totally my cup of tea, but their relationship is sweet and spicy.
