The second book in this series starts in Blossom and should be a new beginning for our five MCs. Jan, Kenn and Mia start their different ways at the small college and Matthias opens another Café in town. Nichlas is the only one who continues his work for the three letter agencies.
The first time it seems that it is possible to start over, but soon they notice that Blossom is not the quiet small town they thought. Additionally all of them still struggle with the aftermath of their time in Bryxton and their own insecurities.
N.Slater succeeds again to suck the reader deep into this new crime mystery with why choose and some hot spicy scenes.

This book is just as amazing as the first. It pulls you in and with every chapter you fall even further in-love with the group. My heart broke multiple times finding out how much pain Matthias has experience. I just wanted to reach through the pages and embrace him and never let go. It was amazing to see Mia's growth over the course of the book. Her inner power really started to show through and the way that she let her men in and let them support her was inspiring. I am very much looking forward to finding out what is going to happen next.

I really liked the first one, bit this one was even better!
The way the dynamic between the polycule changes and evolves with every page is so realistic and entrancing. While I found the first book a bit fast this one is spot-on.
The case is very ensnaring, and you'll find yourself guessing along all the way to the finish.
My only issue with this book was that I wanted a bit more interaction with someone from the outside, but of course, a month somewhere new want give you new close relations. And I miss Quinn!
I cant wait for the last one.

Great Sequel
This was a great follow-up to the first in the series. I loved all the mystery and twists and turns. I liked the real talk of mental health and working thru things.
My only hangup was that the beginning felt a little slow/repetative. I think it's just because each character tells us the same things about what's happening from their point of view. I also want to learn more deeply about the characters. I still feel very surface level.
This was a great follow-up to the first in the series. I loved all the mystery and twists and turns. I liked the real talk of mental health and working thru things.

Wow, this series is getting more interesting and intense. The mystery aspect will have you so intrigued that you can't put it down. All while you have a romance that is perfection. I'm so ready for book 3 now so I can see how this all unfolds. Plus, I need to know if Mia gets her happy ever after with her 4 men.

Mia and the guys moved to Blossom to get away from all the crazy. They needed this change to help heal from the debacle in Bryxton but it seems that the crazy just followed them! Mia goes back to school, Kenn gets a coaching job but can't seem to get rid of his badge, Jan becomes a professor, Matthias opens another cafe, and Nichlas is still working with all the 3 letter agencies.

Wow! What a crazy ride!!
Mia and her men are supposed to be starting their life together in Blossom but not much has changed. Mia is still spending time with dead bodies, Matthias is still slinging coffee, Kenn can’t seem to get rid of his badge, and Nichlas is still above everyone else’s clearances!
All of them are still struggling with what happened at the end of the first book, especially Matthias and Mia. But I feel like this brings them all closer together to work through it.
Something is very wrong in Blossom and the crew gets sucked into another crazy investigation. Lots of suspense and plot twists along with the romance and spice! Very fun book!

Ohhh Baby!!! We are in for another Wild ride with Mia and her beautiful men.
Random Selection picks up a few weeks after Someone Beside Me concludes. After the awful events of Someone Beside Me, Mia and her men have made a few changes regarding their futures.
Poor Mia and Matthias however, are kind of stuck in their heads after what happened and are struggling to move on from what they went through. I understand why though, it was extremely traumatic but it's amazing that Kenn, Jan and Nichlas are there to support them in any way they need.
I loved seeing Mia and her guys grow into the relationship more and really start getting to know each other. Also, it was so sweet seeing Matthias and the guys diving deeper and navigating their relationship.
Trouble always seems to follow Mia and her men wherever they go it seems. They are once again thrust into a case that reminds them too much of what they faced back in Bryxton. Everything kind of explodes and we learn a little more of what is truly going on. I have so many questions about the players that have been introduced and why it directly affects Mia's men. What's the connection? The reason behind why this particular person is doing what they are doing? Also, I really love Mia's mind. She pieces things together so well and it's truly facinating to read.
I can't wait to see it all go down in book 3. I know it's going to be so incredible but I think it's going to be quite dark. I hope we see Mia and her guys get the happy ever after they deserve ❤️❤️❤️

Nic has an insane taste in variety when it comes to book genres. This was probably my most favorite romance suspense book for the entire month. I LOVE her writing style and her dark romances, but was VERY excited to see she had a romantic suspense book coming out.
The storyline was INSANELY good. I loved the connection that Mia and her men had throughout the story. It wasn't just a physical chemistry with them, they shared such raw and emottional feelings with each other and showed that with the right people in your life, you can heal from past trauma and negative things in your life beautifully. That's one of Nic's great qualities as an author that I love so much: she writes books that you can connect with on more than a smut level. You really feel every word, fall deep into her storylines and love her characters. I will say, the suspense aspect to the book was a 10/10! She lined up the plot twists so well, you don't see most of them coming and she keeps you in the dark throughout! Another phenomenal read!

Once again, we find ourselves immersed in the lives of Mia and her men—Matthias, Nicholas, Kenn, and Jan—as they navigate the challenges of their new home in the bustling city of Blossom. However, their fresh start soon takes a dark turn as reports of missing university students that no one in town seems concerned with.
This series continues to captivate me with its detailed writing and vivid descriptions that bring the characters and their struggles to life. Mia and her men are more complex than ever, each carrying the weight of their past experiences from their previous town, which has left lasting scars on each of them.
What I particularly appreciate about this instalment is the gradual evolution of their relationships. Each character is learning not only to support one another in their healing journey but also to articulate their fears and vulnerabilities. This layered dynamic adds depth to the story, making their bonds more authentic and relatable.
The overarching plot, infused with elements of medical experimentation, elusive rogue operatives, and the remnants of a shattered town, has me utterly engrossed from the very first page of book one. The suspense of uncovering the truth behind the disappearances and exactly how far it all reaches has me hanging out, desperate for the next book.

Mia and her men are back, navigating not only their unconventional relationship but the trauma Bryxton caused, especially in Mia and Matthias. With their tender care and guidance Jan, Nichlas and Kenn are able to help these two lovers heal but when new mysteries arrive in this new town, the whole group will find themselves in the thick of it. I loved how Mia and her men came together and became even closer in this book but also made the effort to get to know each other, to heal and to be united. I also loved how they took to Mathias and helped him heal in such a loving way. With even more suspense and mystery, and definitely more steamy scenes this book surpassed book one and I can’t wait for the final installment.

A great follow up to Someone beside me. Although Mia and her men moved town, trouble seems to have followed them. With mysterious disappearances, uncooperative residents, and a body part turning up, Mia sets her investigative mind to full speed to figure out what the town is hiding.
Still reeling from the trauma they endured, there working together to heal and support each too, including strengthening their bond as a group.
It's fast paced, full of mystery, digging up drama from the past, and all points to a killer on the loose with a dangerous agenda.
Great ending, looking forward to the next book.

Mia and her men are back in book two bringing the passion and bringing the great connection bringing all the fills I love the Bob of the book I love the continuation of the story plot I love that we get to continue on their Journey see different things I'm not going to spoil the book but it is definitely a awesome pickup from book one You definitely want to read book one before you dive into book two I'm just in love with these characters and I'm I'm just glad I got to read this book

Random Selection, Book 2 of the Passion series, by N. Slater @slater.47. First off, I am a fan of Nic’s & this book was no different!
I loved this second book about Mia, Nichlas, Matthias, Kenn & Jan! Romantic suspense is definitely a favorite genre of mine. If you like romantic suspense, RH, MM, & a bit of mystery then you will love this book.

Holy s**t balls batman. this book was just awesome. I loved every second of it. I laughed cried got angry/annoyed. For a minute I thought my brain turned into Izzy from Grey's Anatomy cause I kept saying Seriously over and over again lol.

Wowww, this book was just crazy. I loved every bit of it. So many different twists and turns but I loved it!!! I cannot express how much I enjoyed the character and the plot of the book, still with the many different MCs I was trying to keep up and remember what the characters talking but this book is amazing!!!!

Mia and her men are trying to start over and recover from what happened in Bryxton. They find themselves in Blossom, starting new lives, trying to navigate new relationships and what they thought would be a safe haven turns into anything but.
I enjoyed Mia and her men and seeing them build their relationship while trying to solve what is going on in Blossom.

I think this was my favourite book of N. Slater so far.. the way the guys all love and reassure Mia, the way they love and reassure Mat was chefs kiss. When Mia asked each guy why they loved her and they answered had me in tears!!
I loved the continuation of this story and the plot with the background murders all made an amazing book! Can’t wait for the next one! Highly recommend

This keeps investigation ongoing, and more misteries to be revealed later on. You will want to keep reading as the gang is still diving deeper into what they started in Brixton.

Plenty of action and suspense filled pages to keep this book a real page turner. Multi layered characters who were likeable and relatable. Banter between characters was entertaining. Lots of chemistry. Loved every minute of this five star story!!
