What’s better than meeting the man of your dreams? Marrying him!
Law students Liam Macadam and John Lawrence are madly in love, and everyone knows it. Granted, John is eighteen years older, but so what? With the end of law school in sight, they’re busy planning a wedding and a life together.
Unfortunately, not everyone is happy for them. Somebody is determined to tear them apart, and when the situation spirals out of control, Liam and John have to find a way out before it costs one of them his life.
Legally Bound is a sexy May-December romance full of love, fun, steamy sex, and adventure. It has a wonderful happy-ever-after ending. The second book in the Beyond Courtship series, this book can be enjoyed as a stand-alone novel.
I thought these two books were so cute with just the right amount of angst to keep you reading! Have you ever read a book and it not feel like fiction but more of someone real life story? That's what these two books felt like; an insight to someone's life.
Liam: he's young and charming! He goes after what he wants and what he wants is John. Their story begins with their first class at law school and his want for John grows from there! Over these two stories, Liam has many struggles he must overcome: anxiety, struggle with loss of John (must Read to understand), the long hours of law school and being an associate at a big law firm, and trying to be the man John needs.
John: he's a cute older man who decided to put his teaching career on hold to pursue law! He's currently in a dead end relationship and after Liam worms his way into his life decides to get out. Over these two stories you get to see John deal with insecurities and trying to trust again. If John truly wants to be happy he must overcome this, but the story goes into detail why it's so hard. John deals with so much heartache within these books that I swear my own heart broke!
The second book blew my mind! Out of the two that was definitely my favorite!!!! Like heller CRAZY 🤪
Triggers: cheating (its not huge in detail, but some people see cheating as cheating no matter what), anxiety, non-intentional self-harm, stalking, kidnapping.
I would definitely recommend these books if you're looking for a sweet romance with some layers of angst♡♡♡♡
Legally Bound is another great book about characters we met in the authors’ first book. My best friend is a woman who also loved this book, and we were talking. Ryan Taylor and Joshua Harwood are much needed additions to the MM romance field. They are men who write about male characters who think and act like men, which makes the stories much more exciting for anyone interested in a book featuring genuine male characters. So many of the MM romance books I read seem to be about what my best friend and I call “shell men.” Those books are supposedly about men, but their characters actually behave and think more like women. I guess this is to appeal to some of the women who read these books.
I highly recommend Legally Bound. The story is quite good, and you can really see how Liam and John, the main characters, have moved along in their lives. They both come across as more mature and secure in their love for each other. Not much of the conflict in the book was between them, and it was great to see how they work together to overcome challenges. The wedding was beautiful, and the last third of the book is a real adventure.
Read this wonderful book about real men who have a beautiful love story and survive someone else who’s out to get them. The ending is excellent and very sweet, and I can’t wait for book number three!
This was a truly amazing read. It was very well written with a storyline that drew me in. The characters were likeable and well developed with such depth and emotions that could be felt. And their dialogue and interactions kept my head in the story. I really enjoyed this book

I fell in love with Liam and John since the first book. To see them go through such a terrifying ordeal had me on the edge of my seat with anticipation. I flipped through the pages like a mad woman because I was so ready to see their happy ending. Love these men! On to the next book in the series!
Just this minute finished this book and it was good. No spoilers .... but this is a book not to miss out on reading . This book has love, romance , weddings, friends and so much more .. There is an amazing amount of detail wonderfully written . Plots with-in plots , they had struggles and manipulation but after gripping moments they gained their victory.. The connection between Liam and John was wonderful .. A great read and I will recommend this book ...
It took me awhile finish this one as I wasn't excited about it at all after reading the first book (which was 2 stars).
This was better as the sense of danger for both of our MCs added so much to what was already happening but the continued storyline from the first book about their relationship troubles really burned the redemption of the reast of the book.
"Legally Bound" is the second book in Liam an John's story. While there were hardships in "No Brief Affair", the problems seemed to multiply in " Legally Bound". I went through so many different emotions, that I felt connected to their story. Knowing that it's based on the authors on life, I have to say I can see them weather any storms they have to face, and that take the time to tell us about. I definitely recommend this book, it gets 5 emotional Stars from me.
What an amazing roller coaster of a ride. So full of emotion. This one grabs you by the heart and never lets go. Edge of your seat suspense when some psycho tries to come between Liam and John. Will they and their love survive???? Read this breathtaking book to find out. 5Stars!!!
The MCs finally get their HEA. After their move to DC we see Liam with crazy work/ study hours and an inappropiate employer. John has to deal with a mentally unstable admirer/ man who does not understand 'not interested'. Both men have to work hard at keeping their relation in a good flow. I recommend this book if you like a book set in the legal world and like character development.
For the record, I received an Advanced Review Copy (ARC) of this book with the request that I leave a voluntary honest review for other potential readers. That having been said, here is my honest opinion and review of this book. This story quite surprised me with a lot more drama and action to the plot than I would have expected from a romance novel. With credible world building and character development, I was able to follow the story with little difficulty even though I had not read the first book in this series. This is the hallmark of exceptional writing skill that you can read a book out of sequence and still follow the story clearly. Liam and John are great characters as are their friends and family. The nemesis, however, is a very sad and disturbed character. I'm trying not to reveal any spoilers in my review so I won't go into any more details of what happens. You will definitely want to read this book. The pace and the events play out beautifully from start to finish keeping the tension high so that you are on the edge of your seats. Once started, I could not put the story down. This book is definitely worth the time it takes to read it.
Taylor and Harwood have done it again! I’ve been waiting for this book, and was barely able to put it down. It’s an exciting read, and if you’re into romance, wedding planning, etc., you’ll love it. Everything felt so real and I often felt like I was right in the middle of the action. There’s a section of the book I won’t spoil, except to say that it had me feeling like I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to see what was going to happen next. It’s really exciting. The ending is so satisfying, nothing less than excellent.
The characters are real people, and I totally feel the connection between John and Liam. Their characters have developed just as their relationship has. They have a lot of support from their families, which gives the book extra depth.
The book is very well-written, and once again I can’t wait for the next one. If you read the guys’s first book, you’ll get so much out of the continuation of the story, but they were genius at writing Legally Bound so you can jump right in without reading the first one.
HIGHLY recommended! You can’t read it soon enough.
I really enjoyed reading this delightfully, sweet yet emotional MM romance. It has an interesting plot with good world building & scene descriptions. The well-developed main characters (Liam & John) are perfectly flawed with endearing, likable personalities & have exceptionally good chemistry between them I particularly liked the emotional support they gave each other in good & bad times. Naturally there is a conniving boss (Mr. Fedelstein) & a deranged stalker (Peter) trying to cause problems. There is: drama, twists & turns, suspense, abduction, some action, friendship, work issues, wedding plans, family interference, anger, insecurities, emotional turmoil, anguish, attempted manipulations, distrust, confrontations, physical conflict, harassment, legal matters, happiness, love, contentment, mild steam & a wonderful well-deserved conclusion. I enjoyed reading this book & would recommend it.
Absolute loved this book. It's the second in series so the first needs to be read. Wow so exceptionally written. Didn't expect the twists and turns this story took me in. The MC's are so beautifully alive. The love between these two characters is so raw and sensual yet real. I love how happy and in love they are but still flawed. They have to work so hard for their perfect. Gives you hope that we in real life can find that connection. If you want a real story about two people who must consistently work to live their HEA this is it. Emotional, angst, some edge of your seat drama and just two gooey in love guys who have an amazing support system. You'll just love it.
This is the epic conclusion to John and Liam's love story.
In this book, at long last, Liam and John finally tie the knot.
Afterwards they are just enjoying their lives as newlyweds while trying to navigate their jobs.
Also John has a stalker who eventually abducts him at gunpoint. The police are called in and much like real life, they barely want to do anything to investigate what happened to John.
Eventually their friends step in to help and are able to get the ball rolling on the investigation of the abduction.
They do get to Liam's husband in time to rescue him from the stalker.
Overall I loved both books a lot and wished there was either a short story or even an epilogue so we could see in their future and how many children they had.
The 1st book started out great! Meeting, learning about each other, figuring out what to with relationship or not, friends, school, studies, with some angst mixed in. Then it got strange/weird. I thought of not reading the rest of this book or the 2nd book. The story line went downhill quick. Slow, wordy, jumped around a lot. I lost track of who was "I and he" when talking about wedding, family, besties, friends, work, decisions where to live. It all changed so quickly. The "Rescue" did didn't make sense how it went down. The Ending was lame, short, and no sweet! I should've followed my gut instinct and not read the rest of the story.
Legally Bound was such a great book. It started out slow for me however, the more I read of it the more I was drawn in. I could not put it down until I read the last page. Liam and John were made for each other. The perfect couple as one would say. But there was someone from Johns past that did not agree. John knew he was not safe with his old friend Peter in town, but he never thought things would come to blows in the story. Liam would do anything to make sure his husband was safe, but he found out he failed him.

This is a wonderful, warm romance ... and so much more! No spoilers, but it's a unique blend of m/m romance and action. The characters are well drawn (etched, really), and it's easy to root for them when they encounter trials (a little legal joke). I like reading the two-character narrations; it gives us a chance to really see what makes these guys tick. I strongly recommend their previous book, too (No Brief Affair), but it's not necessary to get the good out of this one. Rumor has it there's another book in the works that will be published around Christmas (2019). Can't wait!
Legally Bound is book number two in the Beyond Courtship series. This is Liam Macadam and John Lawrence’s continued story.
John and Liam have more obstacles to overcome. But have faith in these two. Their love is so strong and gets stronger after going through these struggles. This story had me crying happy tears and sad tears too. No matter what struggles Liam and John go through you still feel the love and attraction they have for each other. There was a little suspense too that had me on the edge of my seat. I loved this entertaining and emotional read.
It's fun, exciting book. The main characters are great, and it's wonderful how they love each other so much and make it through thick and thin. It's not a mindless read, though, so if you're looking for something to breeze through, the book may not be for you. It's thoughtful, and if you like situations, struggles, and victories, it is definitely the book for you. These are great authors and I'm looking forward to the next book!
The is so much going on with John and Liam that it is creating a lot of tension, add in a couple extra twists - some that try to derail their relationship - and we have a story full of angst, drama, suspense, and a rollercoaster of emotions. Thankfully they have a wonderful support system, a solid connection, and a beautiful, genuine love that will see them through it all.

I loved Liam and John from No Brief Affair, so reading this book was a no brained for me. I just had to see what came next for them! Loved it! Loved it! It was so good that they are undoubtedly now, two of my favorite MC’s ever! This story grabbed me and I was quickly totally engrossed. I read it in one sitting! Fantastic! Ryan Taylor and Joshua Harwood are must buy authors for me.
Beyond Courtship is part 2 of Liam and John’s story. From moving to a hostage situation this book I have to say kept me on edge. What’s happening next? Why are you acting that way? Seriously is he for real? How stupid can one get? And that’s some scary stuff! All this is going on as I’m reading but it all gets answered. Poor guys don’t seem to catch a break. This book is a five 5 star rating. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Stands out from other MM romance books I have read. This is more believable to me. Characters are more realistic and less contrived, except when they all go commando. I highly recommend reading this and book one. I wonder if there will be a book three. I would like to read more about Liam and John.
I read No Brief Affair quite awhile ago...so I read it again before reading Legally Bound...the love story of John and Liam is so full of love, affection, raw emotions and some serious sexy times...very realistic.... great pace... both books will go in my "read again" stack.
Unnecessary drama from a story that already had a HEA
I feel this book was just unnecessary. The previous book ended well. This was just an extension with as much angst you could throw at it. I found the chapters odd, chopping between characters after several paragraphs. I got confused who was who at times. I didn't need this drama in my life.
JOHN AND LIAM! ❤️ this book was amazing, the ups and downs and OMG the crazy they have to deal with. The book was amazing, and well written and kept me so hooked it only took me 2 days to finish. Ryan and Josh wrote amazing stories and this book was emotional and had me biting my nails. Great work guys absolutely loved John and Liam’s story ❤️❤️❤️
Legally Bound by Ryan Taylor and Joshua Harwood is the continuing love story of Liam and John from A Brief Affair. It follows their journey from engagement to marriage, then takes a twist into a bit of mystery and suspense. It is very well written and a truly enjoyable reading experience!
Great story, engaging characters, wonderful romance, and an adventure to keep you awake finishing the book. I loved the happily ever after ending. Read this because I highly doubt you'll be disappointed.
Part two of John and Liam's story was just as good if not better than the first part. Loved getting more of their story. These two make a great couple and I would love even more of them. A must read especially if you have read the first one in the series.
This is the sequel to No Brief Affair, and covers the next phase of Liam’s & John’s life and relationship. It has some unexpected twists and turns while staying true to this lovely couple. Ryan and Joshua do an amazing job in this sequel.
