Crumbs from the Master's Table

Crumbs from the Master's Table - One of the greatest sales stories ever told...an instant sales classic!

Matthew Palmer was the new sales "rookie" and LeRoy was the "old veteran". In an office where the young guns ruled with their smart phones, personal assistants, and expensive suits, no one seemed to have time or desire to coach the newcomer. Until one day, out of desperation, Matt approached LeRoy to show him the ropes. LeRoy responds to Matt by offering an intriguing proposition - pay for lunch everyday...for a month. The resulting friendship, sales/life lessons, and Matt's ultimate success are an inspiring story of how the simplest things can bring the best results.

Widely praised and touted as a must read for any sales professional!

I am an author, speaker and sales coach. I am not the classic sales author or trainer. Most sales books and training are targeted toward the top 20% performers who are already successful. While I honor and love top performers they are not my primary audience.

I am called to The Newbie - those who are new to sales and nervous - scared of what to do...not knowing what comes next.

I am called to The Wounded Warrior - those missing quotas and struggling financially. Those who feel they don't have what it takes and are barely hanging on - ready to quit..

I am called to The Steady Majority - good performers who are working hard but are one ingredient way from reaching a higher level of success..

I am a voice for the 80%.

I have been in the profession of sales for 30 years and seen it from all perspectives. I believe that sales is vital to life and that everyone has the ability to connect in a way that can help them sell successfully. Where most people have a challenge is trying to duplicate "the voice" they received in training or imitating others. It makes you sound un-natural and requires will power to keep it up - that is exhausting.

There should be no cookie cutter approach to creating high sales achievers and each individual has special needs to unleash their greatest potential. My goal is to help people find their own Authentic Sales Voice and to become successful "in their own skin".

I have built a reputation as a great storyteller. I have been using stories to help people achieve for 30 years, with great results. The books I write are from experience and resonate with people at all levels. They are written to be empowering, enlightening and entertaining. Once you read them...you will be hooked.

The books I write are my friends…they will become yours too!

Who knew that you could get "full" off of "crumbs". This book was given to me as a gift; I didn't know the subject matter and I had no expectations, so I just started reading. The overall premise outlines the steps to becoming a successful sales person. My first thought was, how is this going to help me as I am not in a sales position; but as I referenced the authors website (as I often do when I want to learn more about any author), I realized that basically everything can be categorized as a sale. Something as simple as "selling" yourself in a job interview for any position could benefit from applying the techniques illustrated in this story. Because the story is engaging as well as entertaining, it captured my attention and I was basically learning the techniques in spite of myself, lol. The characters are realistic and down to earth, and anyone trying something new can identify with the main character, Matt. Matt has recently lost his job, and with a tough job market, the only job available was in a sales field. His particular product was insurance, but you could substitute that with any product to suit your situation. Matt is married and they are expecting their first child in a few months, so Matt is really feeling it. The nerves, pressure, fear and anxiety of not only trying something new, but the impact it will have on your livelihood is extremely scary. Knowing your product, your customer and yourself are the keys to success, and the author reinforces this info simply, yet very effectively. It is a quick read that will not bog you down. I found myself rooting for Matt's success, along with thinking of ways to incorporate these techniques into my own life. If you ever dreamed of trying something new, starting your own business, taking your career to the next level, or just becoming better at just being you, this book can be a valuable tool. Highly recommend.
