First read by the author. I liked the writing and messaging addressing loss and finding wholeness in Christ. I was once like Mandy and couldn’t bring myself to say no to anything. I’m glad Mandy’s prayer was answered. I still left the book feeling unsure about Garrett. It felt like he was using Mandy at times. We did get to read he had a coming to Jesus moment but a rushed unfolding to get him back to Mandy. I still enjoyed the book and will check out others.
This is easily on of my favorite books by this author. I related so much to Mandy and I swear my husband is so much like Garrett. The story did repeat itself a bit and wrapped up fast. I would have liked to see them answer some hard questions before skipping from the engagement to the wedding day. But I still loved it!

What a truly amazing book that shows the value of life Whether it's 1 day 50 days or hundred days.
Terra thanking you so very much for showing us the va lue of life! No doubt you're sadly received some criticism for your viewpoints but so many of us agree with you God's love to all So keep writing the truth of god's love to all mankind
I loved this story, and this author touched on hard subjects so gracefully! I knew, when Dr. Pike showed up in the last book, that he’d star with Mandy! And I am so happy that Mandy got her happily ever after!
Mandy is always giving of herself to the point of exhaustion. She runs a daycare to be around kids since she does not have any of her own. Dr. Garrett Pike wants to serve people, but he does not know how to have work boundaries. That is until an emergency strikes. Then he has to learn to prioritize.
Overall I liked this book. There were some cute moments, and the storyline concept was good. Mandy was sometimes a frustrating person since she continued to give and give to her own detriment. (Maybe I can relate to that too much!) And the love story seemed just a bit forced to me as Garrett seemed to love Mandy for convenience and for what she offered rather than for who she is. Parts were predictable, but happy endings are still satisfying.
Garrett is suddenly the guardian of his niece when his brother and sister in law die in an accident. Mandy lost a baby and fills her days volunteering and running a daycare.
I loved this Christian Romance. Real subjects are addressed, difficult topics are incorporated seamlessly in this beautiful story of life, death, redemption and Grace. Don't miss the author's note at the end. It's beautiful, too. -ncv
I loved, loved this story. All of Tara‘s books have been wonderful. Seeing people’s faith come alive, and through their struggles, has been so encouraging!
I love series, and I usually binge read them. But when I started this one back in the fall, I decided that I would hold each book and read it in the season in which it’s set.
I’ve loved every book so far and have no doubt all like the final one this summer. I really like a series that’s in a community where you get to know various people and get a feel for where they live in their day-to-day life.
Well, this is most definitely a romance, it’s also a bit like a coming of age story. Now it’s not coming of age since the characters in it are adults, but Dr. Pike has a plan for his life. A very specific one. And he’s determined not to deviate from it. He quickly alarms that life is good at throwing you curveballs. In his case, he becomes the guardian of his niece. Having a family was not part of the plan.
But he is determined to stay the course. Along the way he learns there’s more to life than worldly success and what he thought he wanted pails in comparison to what God had planned for him.
