In Regency England, there is a world ruled by feral passion and forbidden desire--a world where every fantasy is realized as four brothers take their women to rapturous new heights of carnal bliss. . . The Ursus brothers are descended from a Viking clan whose ancestors doomed them to a life of all-consuming sensual urges. Haunted by their insatiable hunger, each brother knows that only one thing can tame their wild yearnings: claiming the heart and soul of the woman who is his destiny. . .

Surrounded by an aura of danger and driven by his unshakeable instincts, each brother knows immediately when he's encountered the right woman, and they immediately instruct them in the art of giving and receiving pleasure. But once these women get their first sizzling taste of raw, abandoned ecstasy, they only want more and more. . .

Animal Lust by Lacy Danes is four erotic stories in one. It’s about four brothers (Martin, Mac, Orin, and Devon) cured with the blood of the bear (they are Ursus). Each stories is about each brother claiming their mate.

I really enjoyed the book. If you want to read a book full of primal erotic sexual intercourse then this is the book to read. The book is really well rounded with the romantic connection between the characters and how it’s fulfilled in the claiming. I give this book a four star because I loved Mac and Orin stories. I loved that Mac could sense peoples emotions just buy staring at then. Also I liked the conflict of the story because Rosallette (his mate) masked her scent and Mac thinking that she wasn’t compatible with him had sex and initiated the mating. I loved Orin story because he felt like he didn’t belong with his family due to the doubts of his father being his father and he felt like he couldn’t control his brut force. He seemed the most strong jet to me he was the one that needed the most love. He found love with Wilhelmina his neighbor. He was the strong uncontrollable and she the innocent virgin.

I would truly recommend this book to people who love to read steamy scenes with primal and instinctive sex. This book to me was the best of both worlds because it’s Paranormal Historical Romance and truly erotic

Did I miss something? Was there suppose to be a plot line somewhere? You think I would have learned my lesson by now in that Aphrodisia never publishes anything that isn't sex for the sake of sex. Every Aphrodisia novel I have ever read, has had a complete lack of thought or plot line.

This novel consists of four different stories, each dealing with one of the four brothers and them finding their mates. While each brother's story was different and they each had various sexual tastes, the overall novel was kind of boring. The brothers all blended together and lacked individual personalities outside of the bedroom.

I felt like Danes gave us bits and pieces of what could have been a plot line, but she was more focused on the couples hooking up than formulating an actual plot. I wish I could say that the erotic scenes made up for the rest of the novel, but in all honesty, I have read much better. I do give Danes credit for giving each brother completely unique stories from each other. It's what actually kept me reading. I was curious to see each brother find his mate and how he planned on pleasing her. I have to say Devon's story was by far the best and worth reading.

I really enjoyed this book for the quick and abundant nature of the sex scenes. There were also some very creative descriptions and words used that I haven't seen before, and that was refreshing. My only complaint is that I would have liked to see each of these four novellas or vignettes expanded, with more plot.

Wasn’t aware it was four separate short stories, could have been a lot better if it was a full story. Because they were short, they felt rushed. The first story, Martin’s, drew you in, kind of in suspense because you wanted to know what was going on but then the other three were just okay. Then The last story, Devan’s, basically just felt like a porn in word form (of course, it’s to be expected with an Erotic story so my rating wasn’t based on that, just an FYI)

Hidden in a dense wood stands a grand and foreboding home full of memories and woes. It is Tremarctos House, ancestral home of the Ursus family. The Duke of Tremarctos and his four sons reside within its' walls. These massive, mythical, and mysterious men are descendants of an ancient Viking bear clan. The four sons Martin, Mac, Orin, and Devon have grown into handsome, virile men and are ready for families of their own. This book is divided into four sections: one for each brother. And within each one of the brothers stumbles into or pursues a course that takes him to his lifemate and one true love.

Despite being four short-stories connected by a common thread, each was unique and fun. They showcased the particular personality of the featured brother and his proclivities. While I enjoyed all of them I was especially amused by the first brother Martin's and drawn to the third brother Orin's stories.

I would recommend definitely recommend this book and will read others by this author.

There are four stories in this book. All are about the Ursus brothers. The first is Martin who comes across Jane. He wants to mate with her but she has had her heart broken by a fool who dumped her after her he has taken her virginity. Martin just wants her but is scared she will be frightented of the man he really is. She cannot resist him wants she meets him.
The second is Mac who has decided he doesn't want a mate. But when he travels to the Ursus Castle he falls for the princess. I think that this was probably quite a hot story.
The third is actually about Orin who believes himself to not be an actual brother but a bastard. He finds himself not worthy to mate with the beautiful woman he finds himself drawn to. This is so romantic and really hot.
The fourth is abouth the youngest Devon who is quite powerful. He has really missed the mate he was meant to have when he was just a teen, now she is back after her husband is dead. He will make sure she is his this time.

Four short stories in one. Each one is a different brother, but they each make very few appearances in each others books, even though they all live together. The brothers are each "more" than human and is part Ursus, or bear. The inner bear comes out when they are finding their forever mate. To create the mate bond, a bear must have sex with the woman three times, and they are mated. Each story was basically each brother finding his woman and then sex ensues.

It was not written the best. Some of the words used were detractors from the book. The vocabulary the characters used did not feel genuine. Because of this, I found it not to be an erotic book, despite all the sex.

I would not recommend this, and will not read it again.

Four short stories set in early 19th century England about 4 werebear brothers who find their lifemates. This is most definitely erotica, as two of the stories, that of Devon and Mac, read like straight up porn more than anything else. Martin's story frustrated me, as the role the father played in trying to push away Martin's mating with his intended Jane seemed contrived and more plot-driven than driven by any sort of logic on the part of a someone who's supposed to be a Duke and a family leader. Orin's story of romance and rescue of the Ursus king's sister was by far my favorite of the 4 tales.

And hey, I learned a new word: futtering. There was lots of it in this book!

I loved the first story and eldest son's story the most. The other twin and the youngest were a little too....OPEN, for my taste. ( don't think I even finished the youngest bro's story :-/ )

*FYI, the brothers are were-bears
**When I first read the excerpt, totally thought they were werewolves (semi-let-down)

not much story, but the sex was hot! would have liked more of a fluid storyline since each characters story is so short...would've helped with the flow and perhaps the story rather than feeling jumpy/somewhat disconnected.

This collection of stories was decent. It's historical, which I never love, but it's fun and the brothers are hoooooot. Add some rough sex and it's a decent read for a chilly night!
