Zoey

Life doesn’t always go according to plan, a lesson I learned the hard way during my divorce. My first love returns home just in time to watch me pick up the pieces, and the moment I lay eyes on him every memory rushes back.

Jayson Lincoln, the man who still makes my heart beat fast, after all these years. But he's Doctor Lincoln now and I'm a far cry from the carefree girl he left behind.

I’m learning to navigate life as a single mother of twin girls and he’s reluctantly home to take over the family practice. We may be back in the same small town, but we’re still worlds apart.

Jayson

It’s always been her. No one could ever measure up to Zoey Harding.

And I’ll always regret walking away from her and our hometown, for the big city to chase my dreams.

The longer I’m back, the more the echoes of our past whisper what could have been. But it’s not just about us, and her daughters steal my heart and mend what’s been broken for far too long.

Zoey’s afraid to trust me, but I’m determined to heal the fractures of her heart and prove that this time I’m not going anywhere.

story to the book was great but if you do not get better editor you are losing a lot of reader it is awful. I know you say you have editor but lord knows she is not doing her job mistakes on every page. you have been one of my favorite authors but if you can’t do what you know you need to then you have lost me as someone who reads every book of yours.

GET A BETTER EDITOR. Yours is awful she sucks . I have read all you books and now I will not be reading anymore until you wise up and get a real editor don’t know if the one you got is family or friend but she is no editor she needs to go back to her day job . Edit mistakes on every page and you are not a new author so come on get new one or I’m done. And I have a lot of friends that feel the same way .

Zoey and Jayson were high school sweethearts who have not seen each other in 13 years. The death of Jay's grandfather has brought him home to run the family dr practice and to rekindle his romance with Zoey. A failed marriage and twin 4 year old girls have made Zoey closed off to love. Jay starts doing everything in his power to tear down her walls and be the man she snd her daughters deserve. Another cute story with intermingled characters.

Need a New Editor

So many spelling, typing errors. The errors are very distracting. Changes meaning of sentence. . Need a new proofreader. Otherwise, fun book.

Editing nightmare

I don't if there was a rush to get this out so there was no time for proofreading, or what. But the editing in this is so bad it repeatedly takes you right out of the story.

Sweet Southern Harms by C.A. Harms is the second book in the Magnolia Grove Series. If you love second chance romance novels mixed with a little single mother drama, look no further, run to amazon and pick up this book.

Once upon a time in a small town land, lived a boy and a girl who fell hopelessly in love with one another. But then high school ended and the real world began. The boy went off to College and then medical school in hopes of one day carrying on his grandfather’s legacy as a well respected small town doctor. The boy asked the girl to come with him, but he knew better than to assume the girl would give up her small town dreams in favor of the big city lights and they both knew long distance wouldn’t work for long..

Now, after a tragedy strikes Jayson’s family, he’s back in Magnolia Grove to take over his grandfather’s medical practice and to finally claim the happily ever after. Jay is about to find out, his Zoey isn’t the same girl he said goodbye to all those years ago. Her upcoming divorce has left her jaded and internally scarred. And let’s not forget the mama bear mode she sports when it comes to her twin daughters. He’ll do everything in his power to make Zoey see that their happily ever after can still exist if she just opens her heart back up to him.

My Thoughts:

Okay, it has to be said, I was not expecting to love this one as much as I did! You see, I’m not a huge fan of romance novels involving doctors or medicine. I tend to grow easily bored when it comes to both of these tropes. C.A. Harms did the impossible! I was invested in this novel from start to end. I needed Zoey and her girls to find their happily ever after. I needed the doubt of Jayson’s feelings to be wiped from her memory, and I needed those two twin girls to have a daddy they could rely on! C.A. Harms DELIVERED!! I should have known better than to doubt this author when it comes to bringing an epic happily ever after.

Let’s dive into the characters.

Jayson is headstrong and resilient when it comes to getting exactly what he wants. But this man also has a sweet emotional side. Seeing Jay give his whole heart to Zoey and his girls tugged at every single one of my heartstrings. I especially loved his dedication to her twins and the love he received from them in return. This man was in it for the long haul, and there wasn’t a moment that I would have changed in concerns to him and his character.

And then we have Zoey. I loved Zoey’s need for independence and to prove to herself she can stand on her own two feet, be a single mother, and raise her daughter's by herself. But something I learned about this town, Magnolia Grove, you’re never alone. When struggle knocks on your door, there are at least five people standing behind you preparing to help you fight your battles. I absolutely loved the fact that Zoey didn’t let Jayson in right away. She was weary of her daughters and her self forming attachments, in fear of those attachments crumble in the end. So, I completely understood where her turmoil of loving Jayson comes into effect. My heart repeatedly broke for this woman and her inability to trust.

Now, the reason why I dropped a half star rating… I loved the connection and the chemistry that were portrayed between all characters throughout this novel, so all of that was on point and not the reason. The reason(s) I’ll chalk up to spoiled reader syndrome. I wanted an epic moment between Jayson and the twins. When I say epic, I mean the most epic of father/daughter moments between the three of them. I loved the moments when they fell asleep on his shoulder while watching movies. And I loved viewing Jayson in his fatherly element, but I wanted an epic tear-filled conversation between the three of them.

Overall, I loved Sweet Southern Memories! I can’t wait to see what comes next in the Magnolia Grove Series!! If you love single mother romances and a hero who swoops in and proves to her that there are good men out there, look no further and pick up this book!!

I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

If you love small towns, second chances and a single mom with two adorable twin girls then you will love this story so much.

It is book 2 in a new series by multi authors who each month will feature a different couple. This story sounded awesome and so when I downloaded it, I could not wait to read it.

In this book we meet Zoey who married a crappy guy but who was gifted with twin girls and is trying to divorce the bad decision. Meanwhile the ex who broke her heart is back in town as the new town doctor and he wants a second chance.

Jayson is a man who is now back in his hometown, and he knows he made a big mistake in his past but he wants a second chance with Zoey. But she is not in a great place to give him that second chance.

This was a great story about second chances in love, in life and about families. Its about forgiveness, forgiving yourself, moving on and taking the lemons that life gives you and making lemonade.

Jayson was a guy who made a mistake and with his family and friends help, he works hard to show Zoey that he is all in and he wants not only her but her daughters too. Meanwhile Zoey is so lucky to have a great family and group of friends and a fantastic support system. Can she forgive herself and Jayson? Well, you will have to read this book to find out.

𝐒𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 by C.A. Harms is the second book in the multi-author Magnolia Grove small town romance series, featuring a sweet second chance romance for high school sweethearts Jay and Zoey. Tragedy brought Jay home to take over his grandfather’s medical practice, but the silver lining was that he could try to convince Zoey to give him another chance. But life hasn’t been all sunshine and rainbows for Zoey, and as she tries to finally close the door on her marriage to her twins’ deadbeat father, she’s afraid to trust everything Jay wants to offer her. Can he heal her heart and scale her walls so they can build a future together?

I love a good second chance love story, and I couldn’t help but fall for these characters. Both Jay and Zoey are struggling through their own emotional trauma, and both are very well written and relatable. Their connection is palpable and the relationship evolves with the perfect blend of sweetness and spice. The twins were beyond adorable, and watching Jay fall in love with them as much as their mom was so much fun.🥰 If you read Single Southern Flirt by Cary Hart, you’ll be happy to know Mattie and Emmalee reappear as the world building is consistent with great characters, witty banter, and a found family vibe. Who knew a multi-author series could be so fun?! Don’t miss Jay and Zoey and the cute kiddos!! Bring on Book 3!

I received an advanced review copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.

Sweet Southern Memories by C.A. Harms is the second book in the Magnolia Grove series – 12 books by 12 different authors. This book features Jayson and Zoey from the first book in the series as main characters, but Mattie and Emmalee even make a reappearance! I love the fact that even though there are multiple authors, the setting for each book takes place in the same town. I can’t wait to follow the characters throughout the series!

Sweet Southern Memories revolves around a second chance romance for high school sweethearts Jayson and Zoey. Zoey is a single mom to adorable twin girls and is actively pursuing a divorce with the girls’ deadbeat father. Jayson comes back home to Magnolia Grove after his grandfather passed away and left his medical practice to him. Jayson wants Zoey to give him another chance, but Zoey is afraid to trust and love again.

I absolutely love a second chance love story, and this book hit all of the marks for me. The characters seemed so relatable, and it was like you could just imagine their story unfolding. Jayson and Zoey’s relationship is filled with the perfect amount of swoon and spice. I loved how the twins played such an integral role in this small-town romance as Jay fell in love with the girls as if they were his own. I absolutely adored the chemistry between Jayson and Zoey! C.A. Harms did such a great job with continuing this small-town romance series!

Thank you C.A. Harms and Enticing Journey for allowing me to review this ARC!

Sweet Southern Memories is book two in the Magnolia Grove series and each book will be by a different author so of course they do not have to be read in order. We get Jay and Zoey plus some adorable twin girls, Riley and Regan. Your heart will break for those little girls from their birth fathers actions. Zoey was put through the ringer with that relationship so we can see why she hesitates when it comes to re-exploring the feelings still there when Jay is back in town. Love the help she has with her family and friends. Jay you will love then and now, he left a small town living to be a doctor and I truly believe that not being together back then not only gave them those two precious gifts, but it made them both stronger in the now. He is picking up the pieces of Doc Lincoln (heart breaks for his pap's), but the right move. Now his parents need a good kick, but love that the grandparents were there for him and his brother. You will love this southern small town story about loving after grief, growing up and exploring where you were meant to be (with each other outside of their friends/family). Your heart will melt with the bond Jay and the girls have, though I would have loved to see a scene where the girls were destructive for Jay since he held them on a pedestal that they could do no wrong, but he is their prince. haha.

Zoey & Jayson have been each other's person from a young age, however, they ended up with an issue that separated them for years. He was becoming a doctor who didn't want to stay in Magnolia Grove while she didn't want to leave there so they ended up breaking up. It's been a long time since that point, but finally, Jayson, has figured out he wants to stay home after his beloved grandfather passed away & takes over his practice. Neither ever got over the other despite trying to move on, but of course that was a big fail despite the fact that she actually got married. Zoey & her twin girls' life has imploded, and now Jayson is everywhere as she tries to get her life back while in the middle of a divorce. Little does she know, this time Jayson isn't going to walk away despite the fact that she's not going to make it easy. I absolute LOVED this second chance story, and I've fallen deeply in love with Magnolia Grove as well as the supporting cast is absolutely delightful, and some like a shameless aunt had me laughing until tears literally came out of my eyes. One thing is for sure, our couple here never lost the chemistry they had, but it was the sweet portion of the program (Jayson with her precious girls) which was my favorite part. Everyone, and I do mean EVERYONE NEEDS this story in their lives as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

If you love small town romance look no further than single mum Zoey Harding and Dr Jayson Lincoln’s journey in Sweet Southern Memories which is book 2 in the Magnolia Grove Series. This author is fairly new to me but I love small town romances especially when it’s a second chance involving a single parent so I was excited to read this one. All I’m going to say is this book was everything I imagined and so much more.
Jayson returns home to Magnolia Grove to take over the family practice and the last person he expected to come dace to face with is newly divorced Zoey. What follows is an emotional and entertaining read as this couple reconnect but first Jayson needs to break down the walls Zoey has built around her and her twin daughters Riley and Regan.
This book touched me on so many levels, I fell hard and fast for Jayson, I adored Zoey but what took this book to another level was the relationship Jayson built with Riley and Regan.
I haven’t read the first book in the Magnolia Grove Series but I will be picking it up to read as soon as time permits and I’m excited for the rest of this series because every book is written by a different author.
A great read that I highly recommend to all romance lovers.

This was a wonderful second chance romance featuring Jay, a doctor returning to his hometown after the death of his grandfather, and Zoe, a newly divorced single mother of adorably precocious twins. When Jay comes back to town, Zoe isn’t excited. At all. In fact she wishes he wasn’t there right when her life was falling apart.
But Jay realized his mistake in leaving and staying away for so long. He missed all the things he actually wanted in this life for too many years and he was determined to make up for lost time.
Watching Jay and Zoe dance around each other and finally give in to the past was wonderful to watch. They easily fell into who they used to be when they were together but things were quite that easy because there was a lot of life under their belts and there was just enough drama and angst in the story to keep you interested in how the love story would play out.
Riley and Reagan were absolutely wonderful little girls with a lot of energy and sass, and I enjoyed anytime they were on the page. The same goes with most of the secondary characters, including Zoe’s best friends, Jay’s brother and even Gigi.
A fun read that was steamy, sweet and sometimes, a gut punch.

First, I want to thank C.A. Harms and Enticing Journey Book Productions for providing me with this book so I can bring you this review.

YES!!! I am falling in love with the Mongolia Cove Series!! C.A. Harms you put an everlasting koolaid grin on my face throughout reading Sweet Southern Memories. It was fast paced, addicting and can be read in one sitting. This book deserves more than 5 stars.

Sweet Southern Memories is a small town second chance at a love story that will make you fall in love with Jayson. Oh that man is my new book boyfriend! He just melted my heart the way he went above and beyond to make Zoey’s twin daughters happy!

I really respected and admired the outstanding care the Doc gave to each one of his patients. He had a heart of gold and really cared about his patients wellbeing. I wish more doctors out there were more like him.

Of course with every book there are ups and downs and twists and turns.

There was a little spice in the book but it was written very tastefully. Not too much, just enough to get the point across.

This is my first time reading and reviewing for C.A. Harms and I would gladly review for her again.

Zoey and Jay were high school sweethearts but grew apart over time. They were devastated when that happened but there was no messy break up or anything which I liked to no end.

Not 13 years have passed, and b>Jay is back to their small-town and he's there to stay. He's been missing a piece of him all these years and one look at Zoey he knows she is the missing piece.
But Zoey's life is a mess now. Her (about to be ex) husband is dragging his feet while signing the divorce papers, she's building her store and taking care of the twin girls. Letting Jay scope her off her feet is not an option.

But all Jay wants is to love her and her girls. But convincing Zoey to take a chance proves to be a bigger challenge than he thought, but his love for her is not going anywhere and neither is he. Over time spent together, she finally lets go of her wall so that all 4 of them can ride off into the sunset towards the HEA that should have been theirs from the moment they first saw each other.

When Jay's grandfather pass away, he goes back to Magnolia Grove. Also home to the one woman he left behind years ago.
Who is married with twins now. But she is getting divorced. Now all he needs to do is convince Zoey to give him a chance💖

Zoey's life hasn't been easy. She's a single mom (now) to two amazing little girls. Trying to get divorced from their dead beat dad. And now the love of her life is back in town again. Does she have the emotional energy to deal with that too...

I loved this story. These small town romances always just hits the spot. Jay knew that Zoey was the one who got away. Being back home he knew he was in the right place finally and seeing Zoey he knew this time he was doing everything he can to claim his woman and her two adorable little girls.

Zoey was a bit more hesitant. She had been through so much and giving her heart to someone might be too much and also she has her little girls to think of.

Loved their story, loved being back in Magonalia Grove. These two had a connection coming on years and they can't and won't be able to walk away again💖 Can't wait for me in this series 😍

Sweet Southern Memories by CA Harms is book two in the multi-author Magnolia Grove series. A second chance, small-town story about Jayson and Zoey, who were high school sweethearts.

Jayson has come home to take over his grandfather’s medical practice, and he quickly crosses paths with Zoey, the one who got away. Thirteen years is a long time to still think about her, a decision to convince her of a second chance quickly follows.

Zoey, who is two years behind Jay, could not have followed him if she wanted to, she was still in high school. Her choices were not the best, and trying to forget Jay has not been easy. But life did give her twin daughters.

Now the twins are adorable and watching Jay fall for them is well written. We do get some of the couple from book one, and the world building is consistent so far. I have enjoyed projects with these authors in the past, and I look forward to more.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

This is the second book in the Magnolia Grove series but each book can be read as a standalone.

Zoey Harding is a newly divorced single mother of two, Riley and Reagan. Even though her life is falling apart she is doing everything she can to make it the best for her girls. Dr. Jayson Lincoln returns back home to Magnolia Grove, to take over the family practice.

Zoey is not happy with seeing that Jay is back and Jay is surprised to see Zoey. However what follows with these two is very entertaining and emotional because they are in the process of reconnecting after a very long period of not seeing each other.

The relationship between all the characters is heart warming. The way Jay interacts with Riley and Reagan is adorable. Jay is very concise of each of this patients and is willing to go the extra mile to make sure they get what they need.

Even with all the ups and downs this book was a joy to read and was very tastefully writing.

I can't wait to read the rest of the Magnolia Grove series.

This is one heck of a second chance story. I mean 13 years is a long time,I mean I know I’ve read longer but for one of the main characters to not have had a connection to another person is unusual.  And Jayson hasn't had any strong connections to any other woman besides Zoey. And Zoey even though she married another man she never really loved him. I mean maybe that is part of the reason they divorced other than he was a complete dirt bag!! The only good thing he did was provide a little DNA for Riley and Regan if you get where I'm going. And let me tell you these two girls made this book. Now don't get me wrong. I love the build up and dynamic of how Zoey and Jay came back together. I loved how Jay was with the girls. I love the sisterhood that Zoey has with Emma and Lucy. But the twins Riley and Regan made this book!! I love books with kids who aren't pushed to the back burner and they are showed out front. And let their litter personalities out. They reminded me of my grandbabies.  I highly recommend this book.

5 Star review of Sweet Southern Memories (Magnolia Grove #2) by C.A. Harms

C.A. Harms is a relatively new author to me, and what I have read I have enjoyed. This is single mum Zoey Harding and Dr. Jayson Lincoln’s second chance at love story and was an entertaining read.

When Jayson returns home to Magnolia Grove, he re connects with newly divorced Zoey. Thanks to a hard divorce and single mum to twin daughters Riley and Regan, she has built walls to protect herself.

Sweet Southern Memories was at times an emotional read with characters whose story you cannot help but become invested in. I really loved Gigi, Zoey’s grandmother, what an awesome character, in fact both their grandmothers were fabulous.

Jayson is determined to break down the walls that Zoey has built and prove to her that he is someone she can trust and build a future with. The question is will he succeed? One click, and find out.

Tragic hits Magnolia Grove when the town doctor passes away. bringing Jayson back home to bury not only his grandpa, but his mentor and his best friend. Now back home after the funeral Jayson found himself in now his office of his new practice, that his grandpa left him. but being back home gave him a chance to get the love of his life back. Zoey is dealing with her hopefully soon to be ex-husband who keeps dragging out their divorce, and also trying to keep her twins safe from it all. So having the boy that makes her heart flutter coming back to town is the last thing she needs right now. Jayson is going to try everything he can to break Zoey's walls down and get back into her life. But will she allow him to not only into her heart again but into the heart of her twin girls? oh this book had my heart especially from Zoey's point of view with having my divorce being drug out, and doing everything i could do to keep my son safe and happy.

The story has laughs, pain, secrets, and heartbreak.

The below books are part of this series if you want to read those books(s) first
Single Southern Flirt by Cary Hart

This is Zoey and Jayson’s story. If you read the first book in this series you met Jayson’s bother Mattie and get s little background on these characters. Zoey and Jayson have history they were together but broke up because they could not really do the long distance relationship. She moved on and had two little girls. Those little girls are her entire world. When he comes back home to stay he decides he wants a new chance. She is worried that she is a package deal and she barely kept her heart intact when they didn’t make it in the past. Can she really try for a future relationship when it could fall apart if he leaves like before? Can he prove he is home to stay and wants her and her little girls?

I recommend this book.

This is the 2nd book in this brilliantly interconnected series by multiple authors and its a fantastic addition to the series.

This one features Zoey and Jayson. They were highschool sweethearts but life and distance got in between them and they went on separate paths. Now 13 years later and Jayson has returned to town to take over his Grandpa's medical practice and Zoey is going through a divorce with two adorable twins.

Despite their attempts to pretend otherwise the chemistry between them is still intense and off the charts hot and i loved watching them get their second chance at happiness. Jayson is totally the man that Zoey and her girls need!

I can't wait to see what the next book in this series brings us

I was gifted a copy of this book by the author and this my honest opinion

Sweet Southern Memories is the second book in the Magnolia Grove series. I haven't read the first one, but after reading this one, I will be going back. The story involves Jayson who returns back to his home town to take over his late grandfather's medical practice. His second goal is to win back the love of his life. Zoey has 3 YO twins from a failed marriage and has a lot of hurt that needs to be healed.

I have to say that I seem to be having really good luck with romances this year. This book was absolutely adorable. There is little angst. It's just a sweet story about a boy doing what he can to win back his first love and make a home. I devoured this book. I loved all of the characters including both grandmothers. They were fun. I am not going to ruin the plot for you, just grab a cup of tea and settle in. I highly recommend this sweet, sweet story.

Oh, this book has everything you are looking for in a story. Love, passion, heartbreak, friendship, and forgiveness. Jay and Zoey fell in love when they were young. They had a plan to live happily ever after, but when Jay changes that plan well their hearts will shatter. Now he's back 13 years later he's back and didn't think he would be. Now he comes face-to-face with the one woman he left behind. And he's going to have to atone for what happened. Zoey was the one left behind and made choices she never thought she would ever make, but won't apologize for them. Now that Jay is back and fighting for what they had can she forgive him? I loved Zoey and how strong she is. And sometimes we need a little help along the way. Find out if Jay can tell her about his past, and forgive him for what happened.

Coming home is bittersweet for Jayson after the loss of his grandfather. But with the loss of his beloved relative comes a chance to right the wrongs with the one woman he never got over - Zoey. Unfortunately the time apart has not been good for Zoey as she has to muddle through a divorce with a man who does not want to bb bothered with her twin daughters. Can Jayson step up and be the man who deserves Zoey's love? Or will becoming an instant father be too much to overcome? With beautifully written characters and a storyline that will keep you flipping through the pages to see what happens next this was a phenomenal read. Nothing better than watching a man on his knees for the woman he wants.

Jay left Zoey and his hometown believing he was destined for bigger things but years later the passing of his grandfather brings him home to takeover his grandfather’s medical practice. When he sees his first love the chemistry and connection, he feels for her is stronger than ever but first he needs to convince her to give him another chance.

After the hurt that Jay caused and what she has gone through with her husband Zoey isn’t looking to let another man into her life. All she wants is to focus on her twin daughters, but Jay is determined to show her that he is the perfect man for her and her girls.

Jay’s relationship with Zoey’s daughters was adorable and I enjoyed seeing him break through Zoey’s walls and show her that she can trust him with her heart.

This is the second book in this series, and this is Jayson and Zoey’s journey.
These two were high school sweethearts who drifted apart, breaking both their hearts. Now 13-years later, Zoey is newly divorced and a single mom to twin girls, and Jayson is a doctor who is back to take over the family practice. The chemistry between these two is undeniable, and they complete each other perfectly.
Thos is a well written story which is an emotional roller coaster, with regrets, twists, heartbreak, humor, witty banter, family, friendships, engaging and realistic characters, challenges, and love, which leads to an entertaining, unpredictable, and steamy small town romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
