“This book is hilarious and that bitch made me laugh out loud.”—Chelsea Handler
A chaotically joyous collection of essays from one of the original influencers and the internet's sweetheart, Bretman ""The Baddest"" Rock.
Hilarious and earnest, this collection of essays, how-tos, and more goes far beyond what we know of Bretman Rock from social media. Who is Bretman Rock Sacayanan behind the screen and how did he become the original superstar influencer and today’s beloved best friend of the internet?
You're That Bitch welcomes you into Bretman Rock's world—from how his childhood in the Philippines, his family, Filipino culture, and being a first-generation immigrant helped shape him into who he is today. Peek into how Bretman became a social media sensation at the precocious age of 14, balancing living a glamorous jet-setting lifestyle on weekends while still serving lunch at his school’s cafeteria, running as a varsity track-star, and making honor roll during the week. With his signature honesty, this is an unfiltered and unprecedented look at what it means to be one of the first digital celebrities and that bitch---from dealing with cancel culture, drama and heartbreak, to what it means to love yourself and your community.
From the funniest and undeniably cutest person on the internet, this is a book for the weirdos and for the bad bitches . . . this book is for you!
One of the best autobiographies I’ve read! Please note that this isn’t your typical autobiography. It’s a combo of self-help, a friend chatting with your over coffee and drinks, and really emphasis on the Filipino American & Filipino Immigrant journey. And if you’re a fan of Bretman Rock, then definitely READ IT! I love listening to the audiobook and it’s in his voice. There were a lot of tidbits that I took from it as a business owner, dealing with grief, managing family issues (ex: dad issues), and just a whole lot of laughter.
“Always listen to your heart…and your stomach.”-Bretman Rock
You know Bretman Rock is really a brand because you can hear his voice while reading the book lol. Where can i find the audio version? I like when he said he is more scared of just not having the passion to entertain people anymore than go broke. This just shows how authentic and genuine he is in what he does.
I will always give 5⭐️’s to anyone who writes about their life. such a vulnerable thing. I have been consuming Bretmans content for such a long time. he is a true icon. it was incredible to understand the backstory of his life and how soooo much manifesting he did to be where he is now!!! Bretman will make you feel like THAT BITCH!!
I don’t remember how I even became aware of Bret’s existence. The earliest thing I remember was him dancing on the pole and it broke. It was hilarious. His personality truly shone through that short clip and I always recognized him since then.
I also happen to be a Filipino immigrant so his content has always fascinated me. I wasn’t a super fan but I was chronically online enough to know the latest— Princess getting pregnant, his dad passing away, him and Princess flying back to the Philippines, him coming out with this book, etc.
This book did not disappoint. Bret’s personality truly comes out in his writing and it is both entertaining and captivating. Bret’s story is already very interesting by himself but the way he tells it makes it all the more.. authentic, in a sense. It’s Bretman Rock unfiltered and uncensored. He does not hold back and tells it as it is.
What stood out the most to me is how very Filipino he still is. He talked a lot about his roots, his family dynamics, and how being a poor boy from the barrio became the Bretman Rock we know now. He did not hold back when it came to all the family drama, the things he needed to do to make money, and all the things that would probably freak out some Americans but would feel strangely nostalgic to us Filipinos.
There is so much honesty in this book. I don’t know if it’s because I relate a lot to being an immigrant from the Philippines, but his words were refreshing. Some memoirs tell you what happened, Bret plays it all over again and makes you feel like you were right there when it happened. No detail is too graphic, too offensive, or too horrifying— Bret tells it all.
Bret is such an amazing human being who doesn’t get involved in drama. As we like to say, he’s unproblematic. He just does his own thing and slays while doing it. He is just so authentically himself and it’s a nice break from all the fake personalities we see on TV or online.
Highly recommend listening to the audiobook. Bret himself narrates and it is just *chef’s kiss*.
Bret is that bitch, and he wants you to know that you can be that bitch too.
I listened to this book finding so much of myself in Bretman Rock’s life story, even though I haven’t experienced the same things that he has. His retelling of his stories have made me realized that I am much more resilient than I let on, and hearing his voice tell his own story made the experience much more enjoyable than I would have had reading it (though I think I would have enjoyed reading it lol). I would definitely listen to this again if I needed the extra encouragement to keep going if things feel like they aren’t getting better because in reality, they are getting better even if you don’t notice or realize it at first. This book made my Filipino heart happy, and I hope that this book reaches to many more Filipino people as well!
Listened to this audio biography while at work cause I needed the reminder that “I’m THAT BITCH” 😂
Honestly grew up loving Bretman Rock and watching his videos on YouTube with my sisters when we were kids.
It was really interesting adding context to how Bretman grew up too since on the channel we typically saw more of the funny silly stuff. It was hard hitting and real and I definitely enjoyed it.
Also being an ADHD queen myself, I thoroughly enjoyed how all over the place Bretmans stories would get, yet I was following it so easily 😝
* I don’t rate biography’s as it is a personal shared story and is subjective to their personal perspective
This book was entertaining and mainly lighthearted. I could have done without some of the gay sex details, but everything was done with humor and positivity. I listened to the audiobook, and I believe that Bretman’s tone and delivery is what made this autobiography work. I didn’t even find the language to be offensive because his use of four letter words was just an extension of his personality. I can see how it would be relatable to the younger generation, especially those going through gender and sexuality issues.
Charming, chaotic, and super entertaining. I loved hearing bretman’s story and his life advice! I learned a lot about my own Filipino heritage and can’t wait to do more research there
Ode to Weed (my first audiobook and the only thing I highlighted so had to write it down 🫡) Weed is for me. It’s a drug that I still do. It’s the only one that I do. I could not even do cocaine if it was free. I could not do molly if it was given to me. I would rather be high as fuck than drink. Alcohol is not a party for me.

I listened to the audiobook and I loved hearing Bretman’s stories! They’re relatable and show how much he has grown. Bretman has always been my favorite influencer and I’m so happy to see where his talents have taken him. I also liked that Bretman narrated the book because it made it more personal.
I love listening to autobiographies rather than biographies. I'm reading biographies too, but I think autobiographies are better. This book is about the life of a social media entertainer / influencer. It feels like a friend is sharing their story, so don’t expect fancy writing. It’s very casual. I appreciate the effort put into the book, but it wasn’t as interesting as I expected.
I listened this as an audio book and Bretman reading it. Inspiring story and how to be yourself, no matter how it looks like. Definitely listen it with Bretman reading it. So entertaining and more personal listened like that. I enjoyed.
Really nice to have Bretman narrate his own Memoir/Autobiography. Book shows how he loves his family. It also teach a lot of lessons in life, love, money and fame.
It was a lot more fun as an audiobook as Bretman was narrating it. I just wished the Filipino translations/references were proofread first as some were inaccurate.
This book is Bretman Rock. I can literally hear his voice as I was reading it throughout. The book is incredibly entertaining, don't think I've laughed out loud from a book like this before. Bretman shares many fun and relatable stories and a lot of lessons on how to be unapologetically yourself. This felt like a very authentic read, like I was sitting with a friend and listening to his life and genuine advice.
Such a fun read and i can hear Bretman in every word from this book. It took me some time to finish but i really enjoyed knowing Bretman behind the camera. He's so humble and hilarious. Love that bitch! ✨️💯 kakaproud to be Pinoy! 🥰
This book is interesting if you're a fan (I'm not at the start - this was a required reading in our bookclub) -- and my key takeaway - to quote Bretman: "There's so much power in acceptance." Acceptance created the bad bitch that sha is today. His childhood definitely shaped it, his closest of friends did too.
The book can be self-absorbed and self-indulgent that it feels marketed even as a memoir, but Bretman seems still lovable in his stories - he makes fun of himself, makes fun of his friends, and relatable I guess for us Filipino readers: he values his family a lot to a point of being victimized by it, haha!
What i like is that his slang is spelled like so in the book. After reading about him, I immediately subscribed to his social media page, ha!
