Another Holiday season where my grumpy boss rubs everyone the wrong way, including me with his bah humbug attitude. After his son’s nanny quits, Nick is ready to cancel Christmas, but he runs a toy store! As his new assistant I add childminder to my growing list of job titles, hoping to bring him some Holiday cheer. I’ll do whatever it takes to get on the boss’s nice list. Only, dressing up as an elf wasn’t part of the job description, but Nick’s growling subsides when his gaze caresses my curves and thick candy cane clad thighs. Suddenly I want him to push my buttons, especially those that have never been pressed. I know I shouldn’t want my boss but with my sunny disposition, I aim to please. If I do a good job, I might get a large package for my Christmas bonus.

About the author

I’m a graphic artist by day and author by night, writing real, raw, racy romance. My book boyfriends are inked heroes who like fat, fun, and feisty women (sounds familiar).

My goal is to spread body positivity through my fat and fabulous curvy heroines with a good serving of British humour on the side (not forgetting an extra helping of alpha goodness).

On the very rare occasion I’m not working in my day job...or night job as a writer, I'll be living my best life in the heart of England with my other half, two wildlings (otherwise known as Veruca Salt and Mike Teavee), and a randy cavalier pup.

My serious book fetish travels with me in our tin cruiser as we roam the English countryside. You’ll usually find me in a field somewhere or curled up on the sofa with a coffee (wine), blanket and dog to keep me cozy, and a good steamy book to make me w—warm.

5 stars for this Spicy Holiday Novella!!! This was my first ARC I've received and it did not disappoint. Annie's ability to portray plus size/curvy characters is so spot on. I can relate to Joy and how she describes her body. I love me a grumpy boss who falls for the curvy assistant and just worships her for who she is and she gives it right back. The only thing I would change is to have made it longer cause I just can't get enough!!

This was a cute and spicy holiday novella. I absolutely fell in love with it. It will make you want to sit on santas lap.
Curvy girl Joy falls for her boss, believing that it’s a one sided crush. She leaves her spicy books about being with a boss on her desk multiple times.
Nick is the boss of a toy shop, which has fallen in to debut, a widow & a single dad.Joy is his assistant and the only one who can make him smile, the only person who really sees him as he is. Not just the grumpy boss the other staff see him as.
I will admit this book made me laugh so much at certain points, but it also made me cry at other points.
And who could forget Little Theo, he was such an adorable little kid who put his dad in his place & found another person who would love him. Who wouldn’t let him eat all the Christmas cookies he wanted

I never thought I’d want to use the word wholesome in a spicy novella but this story has the most beautiful and wholesome element that made my heart smile.
And that element is Theo. He is adorable and so innocent. I love him. The interactions between Theo & his dad and Theo & Joy are some of my favourite scenes. 💕

Theo gives me a toothy grin. “Dad told the flower lady he needed the biggest bunch cos he screwed up.”

A true representation of how honest and pure kids are!

This novella made my emotional heart so damn happy!
The banter, the elf puns, the spice *fans myself* 🥵 the side characters EVERYTHING is perfect!

Twisted Santa is one of the books in the Sweet but Twisted Christmas series, each book is written by a different author. This book follows Joy and Nick. There is a 12 year age gap between the FMC and MMC, he is a single father and her boss. I love that Joy is a plus size FMC. and it makes me happy to see that representation in books even though she struggles with insecurities and doesn't think she could ever have someone like him. I thought it was a super cute book, and I can't wait to read more of this series.

Joy is his 23 year old assistant. They are flirtatious, and he is always sneaking peaks into her romance books that are all about fckin your boss. When one of his employees has a family emergency, he asks Joy to take over her position for a while as Santa's Elf. He's addicted to seeing her dressed as en elf, and it seems like she lives in that costume. I think he did have a little bit of an over the top obsession with her elf ears but the two of them were adorable when they dropped their Christmas puns.

His son is SO FREAKING CUTEEEE! The way he and Joy connect, and he asks Santa for her to be his new Mommy melted my heart. I felt so sad for him when they broke up because Nick was being stupid. He pushed Joy away, because he didn't think he had anything to offer her with the store failing. Her Father even tried to buy the toy store, if he would leave Joy alone - I always hate it when the Dads think they know whats best. But thankfully Joy helps save the store, and they come up with ideas to help market better and bring in more customers. And there is a sweet Christmas proposal, with a gummy ring! I love a good HEA.

Want a holiday novella with spice that’s also wholesome and has some hilarious banter? Twisted Santa by Annie Charme is it!

Spice aside, I would give this 5 stars just for the Christmas elf puns alone!

Joy Winters works as assistant to the boss of an independent toy store. The boss, Nick Twist, is grumpy, kind of intimidating, and all kinds of H-O-T. Joy can’t help staring at his arms and chest as they flex under his tight shirts, and with each new romance novel she reads , she imagines Nick as the MMC.

Nick is tired and stressed. As a widower and single dad to Theo, Nick is trying so hard to keep everything going. The toy store is Theo’s legacy, handed down by his deceased wife and her father. But it’s getting harder and harder to pay the bills on time and stay afloat. The only consistent joy besides his son is…well, Joy. And her cheerful attitude, sparkling eyes, bright smile, thick thighs, …oh yeah, Nick’s in trouble for sure!

Watching the exchanges between Joy and Nick and how they carefully flirt, then pull back, makes for some really great tension!!

I wasn’t kidding when I said the banter between Nick and Joy is pretty hilarious, and with alternating points of view, their feelings about one another and the misgivings they each have about themselves is so freaking sweet and wholesome. Honestly, it made my heart twist a little.

You’ll fly through this sweet and spicy novella and will love every punny, precious, sexy moment!

Joy Winters (how fitting😁) is working as a personal assistant in a dying toy company, she lives up to her name and loves to bring Joy to people around her. Her boss, Nick Twist is a grumpy single dad who is struggling to keep the company afloat after losing his wife 5 years ago. This Christmas is his one last chance to save his business, and Joy gave him the idea to do Santa’s photoshoot at the store to attract more customers. With limited resources, he ended up having to be Santa himself and Joy as the elf, could there be a Christmas miracle for them this year?

Reading this book is like watching a holiday rom-com, it was so fun and comforting, and of course HEA guarantee. The slow burn is hot with everyone seems to be determined to cockblocking them (I’m looking at you Theo😂). Turn out Daddy Nick has the filthiest, dirtiest mouth ever, and only wants Joy to sit in his lap, and no one else. There are so many Christmas puns cleverly weaved throughout the book, it was so fun to read. It’s another great Christmas novella from Annie Charme (yes, I read all of them and love it!)

Wow this is awesome, down to earth joy . Banter with Santa as Joy loses all elf control. Nick dons the Santa suit and Joy the elf when two employees go off with the flu. She crushes on him, he secretly lusts after her. Nick a single dad and owner of a Toy Store that his wife inherited and he struggles to continue the legacy for his son . With the business flailing , Joy has a great idea to turn it around by introducing The Santa’s Grotto , an instant hit , he never wanted another woman after his wife died but since Joy walked into the toy store , he’s craved her attention so much his little soldier ( and I don’t mean his son) stands to attention at the mere sight of her. But she’s his best employee and he doesn’t want to lose her. … Joy has dreamed of what it would be like to be with her boss , heck she’s that hung up on boss -employee steam , she reads Boss lover tropes regularly , much to her boss’s amusement. … Do they give in to temptation and finally Joy can change from nice to the naughty list or is Santa still saying No- Ho- Ho? No spoilers here. This is so good. The writing is sublime, great descriptive work that grasped my interest from the start. The characters are great and relatable. Entertaining and compelling read.

Part of the Sweet But Twisted Christmas series each can be read as a standalone with a scrooge and the one that makes him see Christmas. Joy is a sweetheart working as an assistant to a man who owns a toy store, but he is grump although, he is a sexy grump daily she replaces her lead character of the romance novel she is reading with him and can’t help looking at his arms, chest each day. Nick sexy as all get out owner of toy store a tired widow, single dad doing his best to be the best dad, keep the toy store open, and all bills paid but daily it gets harder his bright spot is his assistant. Each morning her smile and positive attitude makes things better. But with the store not doing good even with her last chance idea it did good but wasn’t enough forcing his hand in selling the store, but he never thought he would love again. He loves Joy but feels he can’t offer her much so encourages her to accept the job offer in Europe, but she loves him just as much and learning the truth decides to, they are stronger together than apart but will he agree with her, will they get the Christmas miracle they need, will his son get his Christmas wish, and can they finally get their own happiness?

This is a fun, short, fairly quick read with plenty of Christmas spririt! Joy is the cheerful assistant to Nick; the sunshine to his grump. She oftentimes reminds him to be nice to his other employees and to the patrons of the toy shop that Nick owns. Nick has a lot to deal with his son's nanny quitting and his toy shop hasn't been doing too well in the last few months with the bank getting ready to take it away. Teddy was a nice addition as the kid! He got to have a small part and be included, rather than just spoken about or acting too old for his age.
These two are perfect together! They have wonderful chemistry and fit well together. I liked the banter about Joy's spicy taste in books and that Nick may or may not have read some of them. I also liked the appreciation for Mr. Turbo as another partner, rather than anyone feeling less than having some assistance.
The story has a good plot to fluff ratio, without leaving you wanting or feeling like you ate too much cotton candy.
All in all, a fun novella with steam, elf (and other Christmas related) puns, minor discussion of loss of a parent, and happy ending!

This was my first book by Annie Charme and I was not disappointed. Widower and single dad, Nick, owns a toy store that is heading towards loan default. Nick is grumpy and his grumpiness spreads to his employees...except for Joy. Joy is Nick's assistant and his star employee. Joy brings light into Nick's life and for the past year Nick has been interested in Joy. Joy is very curvy and when she gets stuck wearing an elf costume and Nick has to cover as Santa, the Christmas heat is on and balls jingle. Unable to tell Joy that he is selling the store, he tells her she should take her dream job in London. Nick's love for Joy is so deep that he lets her go as he feels he has nothing to offer her. When Joy learns the truth she decides to perform her own Christmas miracle. Soon Nick and Joy realize that they are better together and Nick's son, Theo, will get his Christmas wish for a new mum.

Twisted Santa is book 1 in the Sweet but Twisted Christmas series, and it is AMAZING!!!!!!!! It's a steamy, Christmas themed, grumpy-sunshine, curvy girl gets her boss romance. Nick is a hunky, grumpy widower, single dad to the adorable Theo, and the owner of a toy store. Joy is his new young, curvy assistant who is a ray of sunshine. When his nanny quits, Joy adds, watching Theo to her job duties. The chemistry between these two was hot 🔥 hot 🔥 hot 🔥. When Nick is Santa and she is the sexy elf, all she wants is for Santa to pop her cherry. The banter was both witty and cheesy in a good way. My favorite was "I love you from your head to your mistle-toe." All and all, this was such a great Christmas rom com. Theo was such a cutie, and the interactions with Nick and Joy were so sweet. And we also get a splendid HEA. Love 💘 love ❤️ loved 😍 this book!!!!.

This book is giving lifetime Christmas movie (maybe Netflix) with a lot of cheesy and smutty Christmas puns (and sex-gasp!). Meet Joy, a 23-year old aspiring… book worker (her dream job literally said “working with books”) whose “gap job” as an assistant to the owner of a toy shop somehow turned permanent. Nick is said toy shop owner, a grumpy 35-year old widower with a 6-year son. The grumpiness is really a cover for loneliness, grief, and stress (shocker).

Was this book very good (meaning well written and enjoyable in how the characters’ budding attraction peaks into an actual romance)? No. But if you’re in for a somewhat lighthearted Christmas-themed romance book full of cheesy puns and some creative use of an elf and Santa costume (cue the santa and elf puns) then you’re in for a treat. Example of said puns “is that a candy cane in your pocket or are you happy to see me?” They said “elf confidence” so many times I gagged.

Twisted Santa is a love story between curvy girl Joy, her grumpy boss Nick, and Joy’s trusty battery powered boyfriend Turbo. Nick is a widower as well as a single dad who doesn’t have time for romance; he has the time but only has the desire for one woman- his employee Joy. Since the passing of his wife 6 years prior, Joy is the only one who has made his blood boil and his manhood rise to the occasion.
Joy’s only sexual experiences have been with Turbo and her imagination due to her constant reading of romance novels involving bosses and employees. After some confusion and hurt feelings Joy and Nick are able to move forward in their relationship both physically and emotionally.
This book is filled with the magic of Christmas, Santa, candy cane stockings, Christmas puns, and a lot of laughs.

The FMC, a full-figured female main character, resonated with me, offering a refreshing portrayal that gives hope to those who don't fit conventional beauty standards. Being British, the author's background added an extra layer of enjoyment for me. I found myself immersed in the narrative, unable to put the book down. The humor and feel-good vibes throughout made every moment thoroughly enjoyable and the emotional depth brought out when children are involved added a touching element, guaranteeing a few tears along the way. There was nothing twisted about this Santa.
As a first-time reader of Annie Charm, this book has sparked my interest, and I'm eager to explore more of her works.

Twisted Santa is a fun, cute, and spicy holiday novella - just in time for the season! The story focuses on Joy and Nick. Joy's crush on her boss, Nick, keeps distracting her from her work. She tries so hard to get her mind off the grumpy boss who can't escape her dreams. Nick is a single father, dealing with the aftermath of losing his wife, and trying to keep his toy shop afloat. He can't seem to understand why Joy irks him - yet puts a smile on his face. She's annoying AF with her dazzling smile, pouty lips, and sexy curves. The two find themselves at odds with the most hilarious banter - it was the best thing about this book. I highly recommend this one!

This is a fun holiday romance with plenty of Christmas spirit. Joy is Nick's assistant and really, she's the sunshine to his grump. He's also a single father and the owner of a toy store. She's been secretly crushing on him and he's been secretly reading her reading stash of boss romances...and loving the spicy scenes depicted in them ;) She does catch him at it and it's both funny and hot. These two dance around each other with so many elf puns, all while trying to connect physically. Of course, that isn't a simple task with a young boy excited to hang with his father at work and play with the lovely Joy ;) You definitely can find yourself getting into the holiday spirit with this highly entertaining read. I really enjoyed how their romance came together, smiling, giggling and fanning myself by turns. Good fun!

Nic Twist a broken single dad, widowed, owner of a failing toy store. Only things that light up his world are his son and Joy.
Joy is Nic’s assistant. She has a crush on her boss. Most of the staff think he is a big grump but they don’t know him like I do. One night during inventory Nic gives into his desires he needs joy. Joy has been hurt in the past and gets cold feet.
This is such a heartwarming Christmas story. Nic is a dirty talking hot alpha boss in the business and bedroom. He also cares about his staff. Joy is sweet, innocent and everyone loves her. She grounds Nic. Both he and his son Teddy need her in their life but he has nothing to offer her.
Expect possessive alpha male, dirty talk to make you blush, lots of chemistry and spice. Enjoyable read.

Twisted Santa was cute! I loved all the puns, though the placement of a few of them had me giving the side-eye, and I enjoyed Joy and Nick dancing around each other. However, I swear I've never wanted to smack two characters so much in my life. JUST COMMUNICATE!!

Teddy was absolutely precious. I'm not a huge single parent trope fan, but Teddy was so cute, and his interactions with Joy were adorable! The way he and Nick interacted were really cute too.

The titles of Joy's books were so funny. I cringed when Nick admitted that he'd read all of her books. There's a reason why most of my physical books stay at my house and don't see the light of day :D

I can't wait to read more of this series in the lead up to Christmas and get into the holiday spirit!

Wonderful story. I loved everything about this book. Joy is a beautiful happy woman who loves life, and also loves her boss. Nick, her boss comes across as a grumpy ass to everyone, but Joy see’s there is more to his story. She discovers Nick is the way he is because he lost his wife a little after their son Teddy was born and he was working himself so much so he couldn’t grieve. Joy is the only person that Nick has let see him, the real him. She helps him with his son, and Teddy falls in love with Joy so Teddy writes a letter to Santa asking for Joy to be his mommy. In the end he gets his wish and they become the family they all wanted. I recommend this book to everyone who loves holiday love stories. I received this book for my honest opinion and once again I loved it.

Nick and Joy's story is a sweet and naught holiday romance the warms your heart and has you melting in your seat.

Nick is a single dad who owns a toy business passed down from his father-in-law, Joy is his assistant. When Joy finds out that the shop Nick own is having trouble, she comes up with ideas to help and brings them closer together. Adding Santa and Elves helps bring in money, but when the staff gets sick, someone needs to step-in.

This is heated work romance where Nick gets a bit of insight of Joy's mind when he reads her books. Love the connection and passion between Nick and Joy as they add his son into the relationship.

Nick is a grump with several real life problems on his plate! He is a single dad raising a 6 year old boy, trying to save his Christmas shop and is falling in love with his assistant, Joy. Joy is a breath of fresh air and spreads sunshine wherever she goes. Joy is the only one that can make Nick smile other than his son. Joy manages to make Nick more human - for lack of a better word to his staff.
This book is amazing! I found myself totally invested in the storyline. In this book, the author does an exceptional job bringing this book to life right before your very eyes!

If you need a quick read, filthy talk and some holiday cheer, this one will do. It has got some popular and favourite tropes- grumpy/sunshine, age gap, workplace.

I liked the use of Christmas pun which was scattered throughout the book. Oh how I enjoyed Nick’s filthy talks and the banter between him and Joy.

I love the Christmasy (toy shop) setting as it reminds me of Hallmark movies. I love how short the story was and how I could quickly get through it.

Theo was the star of the show and I wouldn’t mind catching up with the couple.
