Becky Richards has always had a thing for older men. Especially if they are rock legends.
After leaving the record label Red & Black, as everyone’s trusty assistant, she begins her new job running a small online rock magazine.
Her first on-the-road assignment is to go on tour with the rock band Angelic Hellfire. She has been besotted with Otis Winters for years. Becky is all set to spend the summer on tour with him, hoping to get a more personal connection with the rock star.
That was until his son, Jasper Winters, kissed Becky at her friend’s wedding in front of everyone.
Now what is she going to do?
Because it was the best kiss of her life, and Jasper is Otis’ manager who is also going on tour.
Born and raised in Wales, in a sleepy town just outside Cardiff, Grace developed a love of stationery at a very early age. She still can’t pass a pen shop without nipping in for a quick look around.
Writing and publishing since 2012, Grace has many books in her back catalog, all in the Romance genre. They range from Rock Star Romance to Small Town Romance and Family Sagas. Be warned, her books have a high heat level!
In a nutshell? 21st Century Romance – Writing about understated powerful women. Understated love stories with a powerful message, each and every time.
Congratulations Grace Harper for writing another epic story in the incredible world of the Red & Black record label. The Red & Black series is a favourite of mine, so my expectations were sky high going into this spin-off story. I should have known that this author would not let me down. I absolutely loved every single moment reading Serenade – even during the times that hurt my heart.
I can’t think back over this story without filling up with tears. I am so invested in these incredible characters that I feel every single emotion alongside those experiencing them within the storylines. It is no secret that if I could be anyone, I’d choose to be Erin Devlin. Well thank you Ms. Harper for giving me my Erin fix but not only this, thank you for giving readers the opportunity to get to know Becky Richards. This woman is remarkable. She has the most incredible personality, the biggest heart and yet she remains so humble. I have to admit that if I cannot be Erin then I would wish to be Becky.
There is another reason in addition to Becky’s amazing personality that makes me want to be her. In fact, I felt rather jealous of her a number of times during Serenade. The reason why the green-eyed monster appeared is those super-hot men who have her in their sights. There were times when I couldn’t choose who I would want Becky to be with. Did she make the right choice? You will have to read the narrative and discover this for yourself. However, for those who have been left behind, I am more than happy to offer myself to help them move on 😉
Serenade is beautifully written. I loved learning about Becky, and although there were times when my heart broke for her, this also gave me the opportunity to respect and appreciate her more. I adored being back with those close to the Red & Black label – they truly are one big family and my heart always bursts when they come together and look out for one another. Serenade’s storyline couldn’t have been more perfect, enabling Becky’s story to move on from that moment we witnessed during White Wedding. The banter throughout this narrative is fabulous. All the characters add to the story perfectly. There is absolutely nothing I can fault!
I highly recommend Serenade and the previously released books in the Red & Black series to you to read. I never want this series to end!!
Serenade by Grace Harper. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I can’t wait to read more! Loved the characters and the storyline! The characters got into my head so much I was dreaming my own chapters to the story. When I woke up I had to go back a chapter and read again so I knew where I had left off in the real book. This only happens when I really get into the story and the characters. Fantastic and I really can’t wait to read more!
