Omg, this was so ridiculously right up my alley it’s not even funny. IT WAS SO FREAKING GOOD. I mean, the premise was already super promising and the author could’ve turned this easily into something I wouldn’t have liked all that much, but she didn’t!!
Secret paranormal PORN STUDIO SETUP paired with a temporary MATE BONDING that wasn’t at all supposed to last. A wolf shifter who did this kind of contract countless times before and a human who knows way to little about these kinds of things. Do I need to say more??

I laughed so hard. No joke. This was so ridiculous and the whole scene that came after that intro was even more hilarious than the script for it. I couldn’t stop laughing out loud.
But don’t misunderstand me here, this was not a book where one joke chased the next but it was super fun to read, light hearted but still intense on the feels.
As the author said herself, she introduced a lot of side characters that are screaming for their own story and I can only hope it won’t take her the whole year to give us a sequel. I REALLY CANNOT WAIT. But at least there is still her debut novel to check out until then that is set up in the same paranormal universe.

A wolf shifter pornstar, whose specialty is knotting, decides to collab with a human. What could go wrong? Or, what could go right?
Matehub: Legend was such a fun, extremely sexy, sweet and swoony read.
I expected the high scorching hot heat, but what completely surprised me was the lovely, slow-building romance between Richard and Hunter. In between the great smut scenes, they bonded and it was absolutely the cutest, they had me giggling and gushing at every page.
The cold, unfeeling lone wolf cooking for his mate had to be the best part. I adored how Richard went from this big surly asshole to the cutest cuddly puppy.
The little chat forum segments were also fun, and it felt like I was interacting with friends following along the story with me. Granted, they were weird, horny friends, but still.
I look forward to more from this author and more of this series, because even the side characters were great and I can’t wait for more.

I can't believe how much I enjoyed this book! A book with knotting (so much knotting!) no less!
I'm in awe how much sweetness and romance and longing and fun there was in between all the sex (and there was loooots of sex, the MCs are porn stars).
I loved both MCs, but Richard is without a doubt my favorite.
It was awesome to see how the arrogant wolf shifter Richard fell hard and fell first for his temporary mate Hunter.
I loved that Hunter was no meak damsel in distress, and no sweet little omega (Richard and Hunter both weren't on the alpha/omega spectrum), but a gorgeous, confident rising pornstar on his own.
The fan-forum-chats were hilarious, the friends and family wonderful additions, not one dimensional puppets.
This will be a comfort reread for sure, and I'm going to put this immediately on my all-times-favorites shelve.
Even if I tried I couldn't find something to nitpick at.
Can't wait for the next installment.

woooow was this ever good! i am loving this new spate of MM Romance writers who have emerged in the last few years because THEY ARE KILLING IT AND putting the vets to fkin shame fr! this is some good, much need energy livening things up in the genre and i'm very happy to be discovering so many new high caliber authors with so much talent!
so YES, this was a very fun, swoony, hilarious romp of a romance, featuring a bevy of characters who were all distinctive and fully realized! so much so that they could ALL have spinoffs and it would be legit! I loved the texting and MateHub Comments thread, as well! the reading experience was JUST soooo much fkin fun to dive into, and just chill for a weekend with something of quality yk!
the romance between growly, possessive Richard, and mischievous, snarky Hunter was all kinds of delicious AND hilarious! Hunter's performative shenanigans had me howling with laughter, and i had to stop myself a few times from posting gif updates every time i guffawed like a donkey.😅
i love how this book didn't take itself seriously. that it was so clever to utilize the parameters of ott sexscapades to define the most beautiful true bond love story, that was so organic and well-developed that it felt real! of course the sex was hot as fk, but i loved that it wasn't only about that, and that this romance was a lot more multi-faceted than straight smut. it's nice to read such dynamic characters with depth and nuance, who seem to ALL have a story to tell, and I am sooo here for it when Marie Reynard releases more of this series in the future!

I can’t even begin tell you about all the things I loved about this book. It starts with the names (Richard “Dick” Knotz? Falling for Hunter? And their friends, Max Thrustwell and Hardin Cox? And the guys from the fan forum?).
The unexpected poetic parts. Honestly, I now want a candle that smells of ember fire and starry nights, mixed with the softness of cashmere, hiding wrought iron beneath.
Hunter and Richard’s love story is… perfect. Yes, it starts with transactional sex. And yes, there are cameras. But they always made it feel so… intimate. Hot. Like the rest of the world fades away.
Their banter…. Chef’s kiss.
The way Richard started cooking for Hunter? Let my just melt to a puddle 🫠
Their obliviousness? A thing for the history books 🤣

Silly, funny, smutty and utterly charming. Something about this just really worked. I’m not normally a knot fan but this was a great way to break up some more serious books and the writing was a breeze to read. I’m impressed this is only the authors second book, the splashes of humour were well done and it wasn’t dragged out or overly wordy. There is a clear cast of secondary characters here begging to tell their stories and I’m here for it.

This has absolutely no right to be so good 😂😂 if like me you saw the title and cover and it turned you off cause it’s a bit corny, I implore you to give it a chance cause this was genuinely such a well written and heart felt smutty little book.

Ok yes, I get it this book was very much worth all the hype it got, and I'm very happy to say that everyone who said this book was amazing was right.
I was a bit hesitant to have high expectations for this one because NGL I've been disappointed before, but I wanted to like it so much and I'm very glad it delivered, because oh boy did it ever.
I mean don't get me wrong the book is great and I'm super aware it's not perfect and it's not gonna be the next greatest work of literature but it was fun and cute and hot all at the same time, it was exactly what my anxious brain needed.
This is a story about two porn stars who get into a "contract" and are forced to spend time together while also having super hot sex and if we add the whole supernatural thing where they love how the other MC smells we get exactly what we think we are gonna get.
I'm happy to report the book has very little angst, a lot of goofiness and hot smashing, so yeah 10/10 recommend it if you are in the mood to escape reality a bit like I'd totally visit Matehub lol.
My only random complaint is that the cover is kind of ugly and I don't get who is that supposed to be.

2024 Ugly Cover Challenge: Reading books I’ve had on my TBR forever and put off due to their covers.
This is a newer book but it still has an awful cover and had I missed my friend’s reviews raving about how much they loved this, I never would have picked it up. Very happy I saw them though. 😁 What I didn’t see was randomly picking up two 5 star ⭐️ books in a row. Last year I didn’t even have a 5 star read until mid May so to have two back to back books I absolutely loved feels weird and now I’m honestly scared to pick up anything because I’m on this lovely book high!🤞🏻(I obviously started this review a few weeks ago 😂…)
It’s not very often I can forget to review a book, have a few weeks go by, and still remember everything so vividly including their names that I can write a worthwhile review but here we are. This book gave me all the feels. Richard comes off like such a prick at the start only to turn into this growly possessive swoony wolf as soon as he meets Hunter. The chemistry between them was amazing and the sex scenes were hot 🥵 I also loved how fucking funny this book was with all the bad porn names and stupid af plots. I sat there cackling during the magic mage knot scene with all the magic moving sperms and dicks 😂😂 and I absolutely loved the MateHub forums! I was so glad the progression between DickHunt (iykyk) felt so natural and was incredibly happy there was no fucking around when it came to the bond. I was so afraid this was going to have some dramatic 3rd act freak out but the last sex scene was absolute magic. 💗💗💗
I am so excited to read about the rest of the characters introduced. I was hoping the next book would be Hardin’s but alas it’s not meant to be but watching that relationship evolve from the sidelines should be a good time. If this was put on audio with one of my preferred narrators, I’d buy it immediately.

This book was fun to read. I was looking for something light hearted and this delivered. I thought I would hate Richard in the beginning but I ended up loving him more than Hunter. I loved how they were just practicing their sex scenes for the company and the fans and how they had a respectable work ethic.
They were excellent employees like that. Sacrificing themselves for the company. Putting in the hard time. Going above and beyond, as well as in and out.
Am sure they had to sacrifice so much.
The fan forums were fucking hilarious. I hate relationships where couples are only together coz of the amazing sex so I was glad they had an emotional connection to go with the physical.
The idea of an apartment that doesn’t smell like you, of not coming home to you, not playing stupid video games and cooking with you, not falling asleep with you in my arms? I don’t want to go back to that kind of life. I don’t want to live without you. You’ve made my world complete in ways I never realized it was lacking. So. You’re moving in with me, right?”

Matehub was such a happy read for me. Obviously there was a lot of steamy scenes but it was scripted differently and the banter between the characters 🤌🤌🤌
I like the genuine development between the characters and the fact that there was no iloveyous thrown in once they got in a bonded relationship because even I felt they weren’t there yet.
Hunter complemented Richard’s character so well, the snark and mischievous personality rivalled Richard’s cocky arrogant persona💕the entire read was fun and flirty with little to no dramatic theatrics and supportive secondary characters. I highly recommend 🌻

I still love Richard and Hunter and their adorably sweet love story, but unfortunately the audiobook did nothing for me 😩 The narrators weren't bad per se, so I'm not sure why the audio didn't hit right, but it didn't. I'm all kinds of bummed about it because I really wanted to love it, but the vibe just wasn't there 🫠

Ahhh MateHub... where have you been all of my life? 🤩 Seriously, what a breath of fresh air this was. I went into this expecting the most ridiculously cheesy thing ever that I would quickly forget, but I was so wrong! This was the most fun I've had reading in a while. Was it cheesy and silly? Absolutely. But that made me love it more. It was adorable and sweet and all kinds of romantic in the weirdest way I can't explain 🥰
I loved everyone, both the MCs and the side characters. I loved everyone's names and how nothing was taken too seriously. It was great. Richard and Hunter were so good together, and the side characters with their relationship setups have me dying for the next books already! I was really hoping to see Max and Hardin up next, but I guess I'll be following that carrot on a stick for a while longer. This was all around a great read. I'd love to have an audiobook of this because it would be a lot of fun to listen to (Assuming Joel Leslie doesn't narrate it. Please no. For the love of all that is good anyone else but him. Well, almost anyone else. Marie Reynard, hit me up girl if you need some input 😂)

What an unexpected, but lovely surprise this was.
I was not expecting this to be as good as it was. I adored Hunter and Richard together, I thought their chemistry was amazing.
I absolutely loved that Richard, who had done the Mating bond 12 times before, and was always annoyed that every time, the scene partner he was bonded with would catch real feelings, was the one to catch the feelings this time and so much, too. It wasn't just mistaking the transactional bond they had for more, but it was a true bond.
It was confusing, for awhile, whether Hunter had those same type of feelings as Richard, as with the bond they could seemingly sense each other's emotions, but Richard could barely feel Hunter's a majority of the time, while Hunter could easily feel Richard's.
Turns out that because Hunter is human, and only found out about the supernatural because of his best friend and roommate, Chance, who is a supernatural, he isn't as familiar with supernatural customs.
And when he and Richard first bond, Richard bites Hunter, but Hunter doesn't bite him back. And Richard doesn't realize that Hunter not giving him a mate bite back is what is preventing the full formation of the true bond they are forming.
Which, I liked, because it gave them time over the three months of the mating bond contract they had with Matehub (lol very clever play on real porn site names in this - like OnlyMates is used in this world as well) to really fall in love and choose to be with each other, than it just being a true bond from the very beginning.
I also can't remember the last time a book had the MC's not even know each other, meet basically right then and there, have sex right off the bat, and the sex be so good. These two didn't know each other when they had their first sex scene, but I felt the connection between them from the very beginning.
It definitely kept me engaged and eager to continue this story.
Hunter and Richard are supposed to do 7 porn scenes over three months, and as they do each other, the closer they get, the deeper their connection becomes. And the harder it is for them to go without sex outside of their scenes - because that is a clause in their contact with Matehub, so that the "transactional bond" as it is called stays just that, and there is not deepening of feelings. If they stay away from each other outside of their scenes, the hope is that they won't fall in love.
Well....of course, that doesn't work with these two, and of course they fall for each other anyway, no matter how much they both deny it to try to spare their own feelings.
Because Hunter has heard of Richard's reputation of being a cold, unfeeling asshole to his scene partners and never developing feelings - he is, after all, a legend at this point with not gaining feelings - and he doesn't want that to happen to him. And Richard just doesn't want to fall for anyone, and is so used to not falling...that his growing feelings take him completely off gaurd.
But more than just sex happens between these two. They start to talk more, do things outside of sex - and to even have sex outside of their scenes, of course ;) - and genuinely enjoy the other person's company.
I loved seeing a softer side to Richard, and that he put up that wall that made him seem like an asshole to try to keep the other from developing feelings.
Also there are multiple times where these two could have sex with others - in a scene together with others or one with others in another scene, but they both just can't do it. At that point it was over for both of them, their True Bond was well and truly forming.
What a great new world this is, and I can't wait to next in this series, and for another porn couple to fall head over heels in love with each other.
I also loved the little tidbits throughout this of Richard's fans devolving more and more in "DickHunters" lol. That was fun - and pretty realistic 😂

Pornstar romance between a werewolf and a human, knotting, seemingly cold MC falling for unlikely partner -- the premise suggests one of the bajillion cranked-out pieces of crap on KU, and I wouldn't have looked twice at it had I not seen @~Nicole~'s review.
I didn't find the sex as hot as she did, but the funny dialogue was genuinely funny, the human MC is Mr. Aplomb, the werewolf MC hits all the the-Nile-is-not-a-river beats, and the posts on the MateHub message board are priceless. The pornstar names are A++ cheesy. The werewolf MC's reaction to video games is both 😂 and a nifty bit of characterization (not a word you were expecting to read in this review, amirite?).
tl;dr: I get the feeling that Marie Reynard did a lot of snickering to herself as she wrote, which translates into a lot of snickering as I read.

There’s a reason this is all over my feed, this is SO MUCH FUN! It’s hilarious, just the right amount of smutty and romantic ❤️
I think the author did such a good job of writing sex scenes that showed how their relationship was progressing. There is such a thing as too much sex! There were no filler scenes here
The porn titles, the mage scene, the FLOOZY! IYKYK
I loved the cute domestic scenes just as much as the hot sex scenes. Richard really is a man that can do both
There is so much potential with the side characters stories. I can’t wait to read more in this series 💜

Audiobook reread: still an amazing book!
This book was like a giant, warm, cuddly, sexy(?), blanket. So cozy and sweet, and filled with cute moments that left me grinning like an idiot. It’s got dislike-to-lovers, grumpy/sunshine, knots, growling, and touch-him-and-die vibes. All so much fun and just perfectly done!
This is going to be a fun series to read, I’m already excited anticipating the future couples (Max/Hardin/Chance is totally going to happen)!
