Brilliant!
DI Marc Fagan returns for a forthcoming thrilling story. Author Jason Chapman follows the same pattern of the earlier books where alternating chapters switch from events of the past to the present day. He uses factionalism versions of events in South Wales during the 1984/85 Miners Strike and the lasting effects of it that are still present today. This is a similar story to that e pressed in the two series of the UK television drams Sherwood.
I was brought up in a mining community, but I didn't live there at the time of the strike, though I had several friends who were involved. As such, I really related to this book, being able to relate to both sides of the views expressed in this book.
It is extremely well written. Yes, as other reviewers have stated, there are some proofreading and editing issues, but these don't distract from this fast-moving
A though provking book that deals with the events of an important time in the UK's recent history.

The UK police caution to those who have been arrested is wrongly quoted every single time in this book. It is done in a way which makes it a nonsense as it omits part of the wording. The correct version is:

"You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely on in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence."

For some reason the author omits “ if you do not mention” in every instance which makes no sense

Good story, needs proofread though

Enjoyed the storyline but please sort out the typos and poor punctiation.
The previous books in the series have had the same issues, but it gets worse as the series goes on.
