Another solid 5 star read by Lisa Mathis.
Redemption is a high paced, intense medical suspense thriller that kept me guessing and turning the pages. Redemption picks up with Layla Matthews after she survived the Body Auction. Layla continues her career as a Nurse Practitioner while being a consultant for the FBI. I soon found myself "all in" and felt like I was right in the middle of the hospital drama. I wanted to yell, "No, Layla! Don't do that!" Just as I thought I had the situation solved, another curve ball came in and kept me guessing. The ending still has me picking my jaw up from the floor. I definitely did not see that coming.
Lisa Mathis is an author that I will definitely follow for future books.

This is the sequel to the Body Auction and I almost think it was even better than the first which was hard because I LOVED the first book!! This book reads very fast because you will be so eager to find out how this story ends. It ends on a bit of a cliff hanger so I can’t wait for Lisa to write the 3rd book! I absolutely loved this series. The storyline is so good and the suspense will have your heart pounding out of your chest. Some of my favorite books to date! These sparked my love of suspense thrillers.

Gosh. I LOVED The Body Auction and have been dying to read Redemption. & wow did it deliver. The craziness of this story continues to unfold with Leyla and her family and the mixins of the FBI drama and wow!
I am consistently blown away by the authors way of keeping me on my toes anticipating every page of this book! & WOW - call for an abrupt cliffhanger ending, that is killing me over here! Lisa Mathis, you are truly a literary masterpiece of an author and I loved every bit of Redemption!

The story was good, but the writing was "clunky". Dialogue was unnatural, several tropes were used, and the writing was structured in an amateur way.
Sentences like "She was so excited!" were abound. Half the time it was simplistic, and the other times figurative language and literary devices were overused and sounded forced, like the editor told the author to "jazz it up"

This book had real potential, but was ruined by cumbersome syntax and punctuation. I realize that an author’s resources are limited, but I believe that having another person do a last proofread before a manuscript goes to the publisher would be worth the trouble.

Redemption
Lisa Mathis did it again. This book was excellent, mind boggling, tense, and full of surprise.
I did have a hard time getting into the groove of the book for the first few Chapters, but was excited to see that the book picked up and held my interest!
She writes with such profound accuracy and makes every word believable and makes you feel like you could actually see something like this really happening. 5 stars
