After the polar ice caps melt in the Thaw, the Corporations take control of the flooded zones and create virtual utopias over the bones of the great cities of the past which rest below the waves. April Yale and her former college professor, Doctor Adya Konda, go on the run half way across the globe from Greater York, in the Australian Expanse, from the corporations and governments who are hunting for her father. The technology Doctor Adrian Yale stole from the mega-corporations would change the balance of power in the world if they could get their hands upon it. April finds herself in a race to her father while the corporations start to wage war against the Expanse, one of the last Free-Zones of the world. April must hide the truth about herself and the Gemini Protocol while trying to stop the violence.

What a great follow-up book. Is there anything Erik Schubach can't write? Great characters, awesome story line and believable setting in a future world. I look forward to all of this authors books. Read and enjoy this book!
As hair raising as the previous book was, this one was a roller-coaster ride of action and suspense! So amazing. While there were a few things I was able to predict, they still landed really well when they did come. Again, so amazing!
I enjoyed most of the first book, but the author eventually dropped into teenage comic book mode and I began to lose interest. I presume his prospective audience are probably fans of DC and Marvel comic movies and love ludicrous over-the–top villains and plots that defy logic and don’t bear close examination.
This book carried on from where the last one finished, unfortunately pure comic book. There were moments I liked, but I’m not a big fan of nonsensical comic books. If possible I would have given 2.5 stars.
Holy cow the action never stops in this one and the best fight scene Erik has ever done. SMDH. This one pulls out all the stops and the twists? Like I said, seven rollercoasters. You have to read this and the first one. Ohhhh and you might remember April appears 900,000 years in the future.....
