This amazing book is about a girl named Emma who wants to be a scientist, even though people say girls can't do that. The book tells us about the problems Emma faces and how she doesn't give up on her dreams.
Emma's journey is like an adventure where she learns to be strong, brave, and not listen to what others think. The book is not just about Emma; it also talks about her family who supports her dreams and a world that sometimes doesn't understand.
The best part is that Emma is a girl who loves science, and the book is for those who want to be scientists, engineers, or anything they dream of. Emma's story is inspiring and shows that if you believe in yourself and have support, you can do anything.

Another Crack in the Glass

In Emma's code, Emma and her brother James are faced with a problem that many people don't realize is still an issue. The author wrote an excellent story about never accepting limitations. She carefully built the plot around one girl's fight to move beyond expectations into a field long dominated by men. The story helps young women and men understand the only limitations placed on them, are the ones set by their own mind. It also promotes the study of Science and Technology over the liberal arts. I recommend it for any young reader that dreams outside the box.

fulfilling dreams!

I’m impressed that this book was written by a 16-year-old! Emma’s story is inspirational! It encourages young girls who are passionate about STEM to participate in the field even if it’s predominated by men. I shared the book with my intermediate-grade students who are girls in the reading group. We had a great discussion about major selection in universities. We are also going to run some other projects surrounding the topic.
