Two and three minute horror stories that are totally predictable, and unfinished.
An example:
Girl is over watching college girl sleeping in a cemetery as a college prank. The sleeping girl feels a hand on her, and her sorority sister also sees the hand. She dies of a heart attack. But they find a branch had snagged her clothes. It’s dismissed as a branch, but the sorority sister still believed she saw a hand. The end.
Another example:
A girl is babysitting a sleepwalking boy. And during the night she finds him sleepwalking in the hallway. She puts him back in bed. Later, while the boy is sleeping in bed, he grabs her wrist, and exclaims in a deep man’s voice, “You will die”. Babysitter never comes back. The end.
Just a bunch of silly not-worth-listening-to stories.
I listened up to chapter 8, out of 117 chapters, before I gave up on it.
I got the entire volume of stories on audio book for under $2, so no loss.
I really enjoy Steve Hudgins stories. They’re a fast easy read, but you’re easily drawn into the drama and they always strike a visceral chord. Some are terrifying, some push our desire for revenge, some are just disgusting, but my favorites usually have me laughing out loud at a surprise ending. I love how Hudgins can come up with something brand new or put a unique spin on an old classic. What can I say? I’m a fan.
I always look forward to reading these short stories. Each story is designed to give you the chills. I like the variety of stories about ghouls, ghosts and hauntings. Moreover, all these horror shorts are original and enthralling. Steve Hudgins is one of the best in the horror realm.
I got it by the cover alone and 'suggested' readings from another author page. I liked a couple things about it but the lack of clarity with the endings werent my cup of tea. don't get me wrong this is a good start to horror especially if you want to be left guessing or come up with your own interp.
I enjoyed every one of these little gems. More than once I wondered who this guy was that he come up with all these stories. They were well written for the most part and just the right length to read several in one sitting. I really enjoyed myself with this one!
