This book came to me at a time in my life when I needed it. Jaci takes the reader on a journey with her to a more meaningful life. She uses a read and review section as well as a response section at the end of each chapter to engage the reader in the process. As I've gotten older and not able to do the things I used to be able to do I sometimes get into a rut, this book has helped me to contemplate my life and make it more meaningful.

I received an ARC (Advanced Review Copy) of this book, but all opinions are my own.

When I started the book, I thought it was a little hokey with talk of lacing up hiking boots and going on an expedition. I think that is to be expected for a self-help type book though. Jaci used an interesting comparison that I had not heard before in relation to our own Adam and Eve. I also enjoyed the included scriptures that help you to reflect on and understand what you read in each chapter. This is not a quick read and it will definitely cause you to look inward as you read. I was provided an ARC copy, but all opinions are my own.

Jaci Wightman is a passionate writer. In the book "Ignited" you will find a heartfelt motivating message of how to change for all readers. She discusses "How to fill yourself with the incredible light, power and love of Christ through the power of the Atonement" of Christ.

The book guides you along a path supported by scriptures and words of Prophets that if you accept will lead you to a life filled with the constant light of Christ embedded deep in your heart.

Each short chapter has introspective questions and supplemental material followed by the admonition to ponder, reflect and record your thoughts.

The outcome of reading this book and the effect wrought in your life will depend on how seriously you accept the authors invitation and choose to make the suggested changes through your thoughts and actions. Your outlook on life, joy and love will be deepened and inspired through the masterful storytelling and inspiring scriptures and quotes.

I would recommend this book to everyone of all ages who are seeking to be inspired. You will want to review the chapters again and again. I read an Arc copy of this book but all opinions are my own.

Jaci Wightman has written a book that is presented in a way that is progressive from chapter to chapter leading the reader from a mental state of listlessness to a spiritual awakening to what it means to abide in Christ's love. Whightman seems to have put her whole being into this 15 year odyssey and the result is a meaningful product that all who read it can relate to some or all of her descriptions of progress toward a life of thinking celestially.
The Readings, Reflections and Response sections promote an honest assessment of one's knowledge and beliefs and allow for a very personal and private reflection of one's strengths and weaknesses.
The one drawback that I personally see, not speaking for others, is that the book is too long and intense for continued concentration on the themes of each chapter and in my opinion could be reduced by a third for easier reading.

I still have a couple of chapters left to read because I did as the author requested, ponder and reflect on the material before continuing to the next chapter. She used a “Liken the Scriptures” approach with Adam and Eve to take the reader on a journey. By likening the scriptures to ourselves with different topics our “Eve or Adam” are presented with images to ponder. The writer uses quotes, scriptures, and thoughts to present thought-provoking topics. I especially enjoyed how she brought passion and life to Eve. Pages are at the end of each chapter to record personal reflections. The book is easy to read yet offers the reader quite a plethora of contemplations. I was provided with an advance copy of the book, but the opinions are my own.

Jaci is not playing around with this book! I was not ready for this deep dive and didn’t understand what I was getting myself into, and it was truly a mind shift. I’ll be honest and say that the first half was difficult. I need constant hope and encouragement, and that’s not what I was getting in the first several chapters. However, I stuck with it. I will admit that at some points I struggled with extent of the new viewpoint of Adam and Eve, but I do understand why it was central to this journey. If you’re ready to humble yourself and truly come closer to Christ, this book is a great ADDITION to regular scripture study. I love that each of her chapters cite additional scriptures and resources to study.

I received an ARC copy of this book, but all opinions are my own.

A really thought-provoking, introspective, interesting read that you also participate with. This
book will take you on a self-discovering journey to ignite the light of Christ within ourselves, so
get out your pen and paper to journal your experience. The "Readings and Reflections" at the
end of each chapter will give you an opportunity to look up scriptures for reflection and deep
thought provoking questions will help you to explore your relationship with Christ. It's the kind
of book that you will return to for reflection and study many times over {or at least I will}. Overall
a thoroughly enjoyable book.
Thank you to Cedar Fort Book for the ARC copy of this ebook. All opinions are my own.

A personal journey to become like Christ

Wow, new ideas on taking a personal journey to follow the Savior and building a closer relationship with him. Thoughts and ideas to become more like Christ in our life, filling our life with his light and love.

This book will help us in starting a journey of self discovery. Giving a new perspective, on using the power of Christ’s love and his Atonement to become more like him.

This book is truly not just a read, but a personal journey to follow Christ.

I really enjoyed this book! It will help me to become a better child of God.

I received an Arc copy, but my opinions are my own based on reading Ignited.

Chock full of the BEST scriptures and quotes from ancient and modern-day prophets, this author takes you on an unexpectedly raw journey from just going through the motions to truly discovering how to connect with Christ and be filled with His light.
I’m not sure I totally agreed with the Adam and Eve plot twist in this book. The author has us view Adam as our physical body and Eve as our heart. I found that a little hard to swallow, but if you’re able to look past that, this book can change your worship, bringing you a deepening testimony of the Savior!

On this quick read I was drawn into the familiar scripture stories and captivated as Jaci guided me to think "out of the box" about the condition of my heart, my Eve.
If you, like I, need Someone to fill your life with permanent joy, change your human nature to Celestial, and show you how to live in love and peace, then continue reading.
I will come back to this book to read the many references, reflect, and journal. I already sense that it will be life-changing.

An enjoyable easy read, yet thought provoking.
Jaci wrote "Ignited" in a way that you felt positive and uplifted. I loved that there were pages where I could write down my thoughts and also additonal scriptures to study.
There were also many great quotes which leapt off the page, such as, "Why can't we think and act like the person we know we were meant to become?" Jaci then shows you that you are and encourages you to keep moving forward.
Definitely worth reading that's why I am writing a review!

This book really made me think about the way I live and how I can become closer to Jesus Christ. I like the way that she spoke in the book like she was talking to me personally and real-life situations that I could relate to. I love how she quoted many scriptures and quotes from other people to really get the point across. I also enjoyed having the additional scriptures she gave to really dig in deep. I think the book has changed me. I received an ARC copy of this book, but all opinions are my own.

Jaci Wightman has unique perspectives that helped me look at my discipleship In a new way. Not sure that I agree with her views 100%, but she describes some very solid analogies and insightful symbolism that reminds us of our entire dependence in Jesus Christ, to save us from our fallen mortal state in very real and relatable ways. Her writing style is very engaging. I enjoyed and appreciated the inclusion of personal experiences of the author and others to make her points clear.

Thank you Cedar For Books for the ARC of this book. All opinions I expressed are my own.

Wightman's use of Adam, Eve, and the Affair in Eden as a life-pattern is brilliant. Although I don't agree with every specific of her analogy (such as Adam being a symbol of the external and Eve the internal and emotional), in broad-bush strokes, this is a masterpiece.

After all, you can tie her ideas to the endowment in a tight square knot.

Jaci’s work in this beautifully written book resonated well with me as I have always held firm in my belief that through Jesus Christ we can always find our heart and reignite the flame that may occasionally go out, but only through sincere discovery and prayer. This is a simply and beautifully written book which I recommend. I received an Advanced Reader Cooy of this book but all opinions are strictly my own.

I love the way the author’s ‘out of the box’ thinking really made me see things from a different perspective. It gave me a different, and sometimes clearer, way to learn from the scriptures. I loved the way she used Adam and Eve to help us look at ourselves. The story about Eve being locked in a cell was really sobering as to what our lives could/would be without being rescued by our Savior. I highly recommend this book.

Heartlight! What is this, how does it affect my life? How do I overcome my ordinary/unexceptional life? Who am I and how do I belong? The answers are found in this exceptional book, Ignited. It is a fire that will begin to burn within you, as you develop your relationship with the Savior. Unexceptional life? You may be a simple person, no significant accomplishments in your life, but in the eyes of the Savior, you are extraordinary! Read this and find out what Heartlight means to you!

The author was good about writing how we can come closer to christ. How to leave our own fig leaves behind and ignite a heart that turns and wants to follow the savior. Some of the things she wrote reminded me of my own experiences. And was a good reminder. I also like how she gave extra readings to look at as will as a question to ponder on at the end of the end of each chapter

This book gave me insight (no pun intended) into how I want to live my life with my Savior as my guide. I learned where to look in the scriptures for answers to my prayers and I learned how the Savior's atonement isn't just for obtaining forgiveness. Excellent title and I recommend this book to everyone wanting greater "insight" into their relationship with the Savior.

I enjoyed the stories and overall message. Bi liked how different scriptures were used, sometimes helping me look at them with a different message. The questions at the end of chapters definitely helped me put myself in the story and being the message home.

IGNITED is a guide to improve self, but in a totally new and fascinating way. It focuses on what Adam and Eve went through as they made the decision to become mortal and how that affected them, and compares what they went through to what we go through daily in our own mortal life. Each chapter focuses on something different, and each ends with a small scripture study section to gain more insight, along with a journaling section to write thoughts about what was just read and how it can be used for our own benefit.

My favorite reading was Chapter 6 which discusses how, after Adam and Eve partook of the fruit, they realized they were naked, knew God was coming to check on them, and quickly put together some fig leaves to cover themselves. The act of covering up is discussed in detail, with examples of how we also try to cover ourselves during life - turning to worldly means and methods to hide things we have done, are doing, and/or do not feel good about. I would gladly pay the price of the whole book just for Chapter 6.

ALL the chapters are good. One by one, they open the eyes, mind and heart of the reader to understand the challenges of being mortal and how to conquer them and stay on the pathway provided and made possible by the Savior.

If I ever start giving way or selling my vast collection of books, this is one I will keep.
