"The Path of Powerful Kindness started many, many years ago.
As a seven-year-old, some nights, as I was looking at the stars, I would ask myself, how did I end up in this plane, on this planet? I had been told since I can remember that I was too kind for this world. And this was something that I could simply not understand. What did that you’re too kind? Did that mean that I had to be less kind?"
In The Path of Powerful Kindness, Barbara takes you on a quest on how Humanity ended up forgetting its Heart and shifted the essence of existence in the past centuries to a purely materialistic and individualistic experience leaving us humans exhausted, depressed and empty.
She offers insights on how we can restore the balance in reconnecting Power with Kindness and she provides us a pragmatic approach to becoming an agent of transformation on a micro and macro level through advocating Powerful Kindness.
In a world ruled by Greed, Arrogance and Fear, we are craving for leaders with great wisdom who can empower us through kindness and through helping reconnect us with our inner light and sense of union. This book helps us to become those changemakers and leaders.
Barbara explains how true success lies in awareness and the understanding that nothing is permanent and that bowing before life instead of boasting about successes brings real success and humility. She teaches some profound lessons on how challenges can be a catalyst for inner transformation and inspire us to fully integrate kindness and compassion in our lives.
In the second part of the book, she beautifully illustrates how kindness based choices can lead to the healing that our planet and humanity needs.

The book masterfully blends spiritual wisdom, philosophy, and practical advice, offering readers a roadmap to embrace empathy and love. My generation loves to read romcom, murder mystery, fantasy romance or even dark academia. But this book is one of my 5 star reads of 2024.
The writing of Barbara takes you to her world. No complicated stories, as if she's like giving you a warm hug.
I did read this on the bus on my way home and I ate every word of this book, and it made me realize a lot in life especially I am in my years of sometimes I didn't know if my life in general is doing okay, or I do feel a little burnout with life.
This book creates a portal for me not to escape reality but appreciate the present moment with such power because of kindness. Kindness isn't just dealing with you being "the good person" to this world but kindness in such manner for you to see the world differently, beautifully.
This is Barbara's first book and it delves within me like a sword piercing into my heart.
If you like reading classic literature, stories about certain realizations in life, an eye opener and just a warm hug of a book. You have to give this a try.
I read this in between of some thriller books and let me tell you that I read this in one sitting! A life changing perspective read that will always be part of my life from now on.
A truly powerful message. It's not often that I read a book twice, and this is one of them. It has such a powerful vibe that I can come back to it over and over and fill myself with its knowledge, for this is a manual in being an awaken human being, and I would love to think of myself as one who aims to get there.
I was eager to read this book since I've been studying kindness. While there are a few good things now and then it's primarily poppycock. It's more about her form of spiritualism than kindness. In addition, she ascribes to the idea that people are innately kind but lose it as they grow up. Evidently she hasn't spent enough time around children outside of any she has to see that this is bunk. Some might be naturally kind from when they are young, but by and large they have to be taught this. Yes, motivation is key to being kind and of course sometimes toddlers do kind things, of course, but they are also often selfish--it's part of being tiny. Babies have personalities from birth as anyone who has had more than one baby can attest, but they are born knowing virtually nothing; not all have personalities that lean to kindness naturally.
If you are into things similar to pantheism you might like this, but honestly there are much better sources to study kindness out there.
The Path of Powerful Kindness is a deeply inspiring and practical guide to living with more compassion and humaneness. What I appreciated most were the actionable tips at the end of each chapter. They make the book not just something you read, but something you live and take action.
Barbara Vercruysse brings her message to life with powerful real-world examples, especially the stories of Mother Teresa and the Auschwitz ballerina. These examples show how kindness can endure even in the harshest circumstances, and they stayed with me long after I closed the book.
This is a heartfelt, grounding, and accessible read that gently reminds us of the strength and transformative power of kindness. Highly recommended.
