I’m sorry but I couldn’t get through more than 15% of this book without losing my patience. The use of “Big Words” is so distracting and comes off as pretentious but in that second hand embarrassment kind of way. Given the subject matter it couldn’t be more inappropriate. It makes me miss Alan Watts and that style of communicating incredibly deep, grand spiritual ideas in the absolute simplest language possible.
Although the topic is interesting, the way of conveying the idea from the form to the words used made it almost unbearable to keep focus without falling asleep. First time when after completing the book I can’t even remember key bullet points. Had to torture myself to get through it.
