In this November edition we begin with the Challenger vanishing down the Stinkhole. Publishing News follows, including an excerpt from Strigorov's Forest, a novel by Tomislav Takac, whose writings inspired this month's cover illustration. In The Lake Erie Lights, Roy finds himself on a world strangely like our Earth a century ago. Down Picklock Lane, Fatty goes on a date with an ample lady. A baker creates fluffy delights with a revolting twist. Favian tries to save his daughter from a death cult. Timmy investigates strange goings on among the ladyboys of Thailand.

Mike returns home, but all he can think of is finding a dealer. The cops try to cope with a daughter of the devil. A Montmartre gangster exploits a painter with a sinister talent. A homeless shelter is assailed by hordes of Ambrose Korch. An unfaithful man loses his lover. Doctor Lystros is most assiduous in his search for the truth. Soft toys wreak havoc. One man encounters strangeness during a lonely Christmas. We are faced with difficult choices. And in New Edge Reviews, the latest Savage Realms Monthly is under scrutiny.

Great issue! Almost gave it a 5/5. Very even (high) quality of stories.

My favorite stories in the issue, roughly rated by awesomeness:

A Stroke of Death by Eric J Guignard - Best painting-themed story since David Morrell "Orange is for Anguish, Blue for Insanity". Great characters, great style, great ending.

Beach Girl by David Huberman - A crime thriller with mermaids on Thailand! Feel the heat, taste the flavors, pay the price!

Compound Ingredient by James Callan - Ominous and gloomy, with a cathartic and sort of apocalyptic domino-fall ending.

Path of a Butterfly by Benjamin Dehaan - I loved the fact that the story covers many same themes as my novel, "Salvation on Peril Island". I kind of hated the fact that is actually better-written and more succinct.

The Wilted Rose by Paul Lubaczewski - I loved this story, even though I didn't really understand it. It's very well-written.

The Hedge by Eamonn Murphy - A simple crime and punishment story, effective and picturesque.

The Butcher's Table by Ash Kingery - Thrilling SF adventure that seems like a part of a larger world/book.

Cotton by Swagato Chakraborty - Probably among my top-10 zombie teddy-bear stories, and that's saying something!

Strigorov's Forest excerpt by Tomislav Takač - Even butchered by terrible auto-translate, the story still pulled me in into its world; the characters seemed very real and compelling. Also, I now have lepidopterophobia.
