This short book has really made me consider things I never really thought too deeply about. I have become aware of just how much of the predestination doctrine has infiltrated Christian beliefs in many churches I have been in contact with over the years. Always read Scripture in context and have an open mind to allow God to give you a good understanding of his word instead of believing whatever you're told as truth. You never know for sure what you're being told is truth or not until it has wrecked some havoc in your spiritual life and has spread into your emotional life as well. Overall, I think this little book was worth my time!
This is a great book that will teach anyone who reads the reasoning that shows the devastating doctrine of predestination, will be blessed with the way the writer shows the nature of God’s love. I used to be a Calvinist myself, but searching the Bible is necessary to understand who God is and the liberty God has given humans in their free will. He also brings in about science and how there is randomness in nature. I have a better understanding of who God is and he is not of evil, but all loving of all humans. Whoever reads this book will be more in believing how much God loves us.
Fascinating expiration of a thinking Christian's quandary!
As an atheist with a fascination in theology I was definitely not disappointed by this book. Although the subject matter is quite complex, this book is written in an accessible and engaging style. I would recommend this book to anyone with an interest in the philosophical side of theology.
This book explores and unravels the complexities of divine spirituality and human free will. It has relatable stories, real-world analogies, and insightful questions. . The author uses science and spirituality to provide an alternative perspective on faith.
I was taught that we have free will. I loved this book because not only do we have free will but we have responsibility for our decisions to go along with it.
