Much like Sophia, I am obsessed with Marc Blackwell. Once you start this series you will understand why. But in this book, I became full fledged obsessed. So obsessed, I read this in one day. I could not get enough. I could not put it down. Their relationship is out now, I had to know how everyone would handle it. Including them. Well, really Marc. How was he going to handle the loss of control. I felt like around every corner there was drama. (and I loved it) Just when I thought things were straightened out and going to run smoothly.. BAM! Nope! Whether it was with her play, or her classmates, or their relationship.. And when she starts to realize she needs to make her own decisions and stand up to him... I am not joking, jaw dropped...Then when you add the villain of the story, who is paparazzi no less, Giles Getty... I was filled with hate..He takes villain to a whole other level. There is not one nice thing I can say about this man. The things he does.. bad, bad man. He is the epitome of a villain and boy do you hate him. Now, Marc and Sophia, there is plenty to say about them.. but I can't ruin it. I can't say enough good things about this book. It kept me hooked from page 1 until the very end and left me longing for more. More Marc. More Sophia. More acting and learning. More information. Did I say more Marc? oh, oops.. More, more, more, more. I will tell you this.I can't wait for book 3. Can. not. wait. Sophia and Marc are just such a great couple. And she grew so much in this story, I can't wait to see where this takes us. I highly recommend this book.

Where the Ivy Grows starts off just where Ivy Lessons end. Marc and Sophia have decided that after being discovered by the gossip rags that they will not hide their relationship. Marc is still worried about protecting Sophia from all the ugly that will come to her by being known. But she loves him - and thinks she is ready for the aftermath of what will come from being in a relationship with Marc in the open.
Marc has things set in place, things to control the outcomes to ensure she is safe. But Sophia is not going to be kept. She has free will and is not willing to give every inch to Marc. She has to make her own mistakes, her own decisions and some of those might just lead to hurt, being alone and mistakes - but those are her choices to be made.
Sophia is not ready for the spin given to her relationship. The lies, the stories the constant flashes of cameras. She is not ready to watch Marc struggle with her safety - pushing her away to keep her safe. But the stage is set. Things are in motion and no matter what Marc thinks will be the best way to protect her, just won't stop some people from going too far. So far that the lines blur between right and wrong - light and dark.
Secrets are still kept. A dark past that Marc hasn't let go of. A former life that he thinks will break the spell he has on Sophia. Doubts that her love won't survive his secrets. But as he becomes her teacher again, giving her confidence to act - to be the Beauty he knows she can be - he finds that she is teaching him as well. To let go. To lose himself in her - in them. Control is something that can bring him peace, but it can also be the thing that causes him the most pain.
I really do enjoy this series. I a huge (okay - that is an understatement....), an obsessive FSOG fan. If you liked that story you will like this one. But there are times when a line is used or a scene plays out and I wince a little. It hits too close sometimes that you stop seeing it as it's own story - the blur between similar and exact comes...and it takes me a bit to get back on board. However, the hiccup of the "we aim to please" line and a few other items passed quickly. And I was able to get back into the story.
My hatred for Celeste lessened - not by much. And Getty Giles stands a close for biggest villain ever. Dude seriously needs to be castrated.

Marc and Sophia leave the school to meet the photographers. It doesn't go the way Marc wanted it to since a guy paparazzi, Giles Getty, is there and he has a past history with him and doesn't like or trust him. March changes their direction and they get away. They go to an upscale hotel where he gets a room for them. There he ses up an interview with a female reporter whom he trusts more than others. He finally decides to take Sophia to his place even though he had a female guest staying there. They get there and she hugs March saying she is sorry for letting it out to press of where they were. Its his sister, Annabel.
Sophia is going to be offered a role in the musical Beauty and the Beast and Marc decides on his own that she will not take the part and doesn't consult her. Sophia gets really upset and says she needs time by herself so he leaves. When they see each other again they still have their differences about her taking the part. Marc finally gives the ultimatum that if she does take it, they are over. If they aren't together then the Paparazzi will start to leave her alone.
Sophia takes the job and starts working with Leo Fallkirk, a famous Hollwood actor. The director starts constantly criticizing Sophia's work and it's stressful for her. One night she goes for a walk and is crying and Marc runs into her. She tells him of her problems with the director and he offers to help her and she agrees. He hones in on she needs more confidence and to be more in control and works with her. He has her ride a horse who is hard to ride and she needs to take control of him.
Coming back to her room after a voice lesson she comes across Cecile and Getty and she learns Cecile had let him through security to get to Sophie's room. He is upset that Sophie wasn't in the room. Sophie is scared because Marc had told her that Getty liked to hurt women. Sophie goes to Leo's for safety. She calls Marc and ells him Getty got in but doesn't tell him about Cecile letting him in. The next morning she goes to Cecile's room to confront her. Cecile admits that she let Getty in and shes she is pregnant. She asks Sophie not to tell Marc she let him in. She agrees for now.
Sophie gets a call from her father's wife telling her he is in critical condition after a car accident. Sophie rushes to be by his side and doctors have little hope. Marc shows up and donates a catscan they need for him so they don't have to move him to another hospital. Her dad recovers and Marc confesses a revelation he has had that he can't always protect her and he wants to be together again. He says he had to go somewhere but will be back. To trust him. Then leaves.
Sophie decides to take Mark's astin martin and find him. She finds him in a dangerous area in a hosue where his dad lives.. She had thought his dad was dead. He brough his dad's car back to him and forgives him and needs to go on with his life. He was afraid Sophie would stop loving him if she saw where he came form. She lets him know if only makes her love him more.

I loved the first book but this one was even better to me. It showed sooo much character growth and development. I read it all in one day because I couldn't put it down.
The characters were mostly the same from book one. Mark, Sophia, Jen, Tanya, Tom, Her dad and family. Then you have the new Leo, Giles Getty, and Annabelle (mentioned in book 1 but actually meet her in this book).
Some of the new characters I loved such as Annabelle and Leo and others I loathe which only leaves Giles.
The book picks up where book 1 left off which Mark a little more open to Sophia and them going public with there relationship. But now that they have gone public more opportunities open to Sophia. But then you have people from Mark's past trying to keep them apart which makes things not safe for Sophia.
What I loved most was that Mark opened up A LOT in this book! I got to see a lot of new sides to him all of which I loved. Sophia grew into her own and wouldn't be told what to do. Jen as always an amazing friend to Sophia.
Cecile was horrible to Sophia in this book selling stories that are not true on Mark and Sophia and she does oh so much worse. But it turns out bad for her in the end. Can't wait to see where that goes in the end. Wonderful installment. Can't wait for the next!!!!

I am still stuck between like and dislike. So many things go on that don't follow properly, she's letting him strike her, humiliate her, leaves her tied up so many times and sods off to do god knows what, but then she says she doesn't like being hurt and doesn't like being humiliated but then forgives it all when she has an orgasm. I mean come on! Either you hate it like she professes or you enjoy the sexual play and discuss and stop the elements that don't sit well.
Now we did have 'baddies' introduced in this book and that helped tremendously, I don't get the way Cecile was treated or actually lack of treated in this book, when you are with a man who says he'll protect you constantly and say 'trust me' more times than the Pope prays then you would think he would have jumped in and dealt with it???
I'm going to have to read book 3 but I was sitting here wondering if I would recommend this trilogy to my book buddies and well I would mention it in passing but I honestly don't think I would recommend them after reading the 1st two, they are ok bordering on good but they just don't go above the middle bar for me.

I was really excited about the sequel to this book since I loved the ending of The Ivy Lessons. However, I was a little disappointed. The book held my interest and then lost some. I just expected a little more.
The sequel picks up where The Ivy Lessons ended.
Did I feel connected to the characters? I trusted Marc more in this book than I did in The Ivy Lessons. In the first book, I was not sure how he really felt for Sophia until towards the end.
Positives: I am glad we got to see a different side of Marc in this book. He opened up and we got to see Sophia not so insecure about herself. She grew into a stronger person. I loved the drama with Cecile. That girl just never knew when to shut up.
Negatives: There was a hint of a good story, but I felt it got lost in all the sex. I could see where the author was trying to show the intimacy and tenderness between the characters, but in the end, I did not feel it.
I am looking forward to book 3 and seeing how the whole thing with Getty goes/ends.

I love books that involve student-teacher relationships after Loving Mr. Daniels. The book takes places right where The Ivy Lessons left off. This book had a better storyline as I got to see more into the mind of Sophia and learned more about Marc. In the first book, I thought there was something missing. In this book, I was hooked from the first page.
I loved Sophia. She is likable, innocent and sweet. I also loved Marc. He is the actor teacher that is mysterious and always in control. I found it interesting how he always needed to be in control. Now, that I learned about his past, I understand why he wants to hide that part of himself from Sophia.
The last 70% was amazing. I was on the edge of my seat. Especially when . Then, I was happy with the ending. I can't believe that . Now, I can't wait to see what the next book has in store for their love story!

Quinns sterke punt blijft haar schrijfstijl. Het sleurt je het boek in en laat je doorlezen. De korte hoofdstukken zijn wederom weer erg prettig en maken het verslavend. De verhaallijnen in dit boek vond ik leuker dan in deel één. De nieuwe personages die worden geïntroduceerd zijn leuk. Tevens is er veel minder nadruk op seks. Alleen miste ik verdieping. Veel gebeurtenissen gingen zo snel, er was weinig rust. Als er iets meer verdieping in bepaalde gebeurtenissen en personages was toegevoegd, had dat het boek enorm opgehaald.

This book is "Fifty Shades of Grey" meets "Gabriel's Inferno," meets "Unidentified Redhead." Three of my all-time-faves!!! The first book was ok, but this one was awesome! Loved the development of the characters both personally and in their relationship. The depth with which Marc loves her is so heart-warming. We definitely see much more about why Marc is the way he is. Now we have a series!! Glad I stuck with this series! Can't wait for book 3!!!!!

Brilliant book I m so gutted I left it 4 so long I 4got how good the first one was the book left off where the last 1 left off the story was brilliant in this book I couldn't put it down so much happened with both characters but I luv there relationship she is so carin an he just luvs her that he want 2 protect her maybe 2 much sometime but I can't wait 4 the story 2 carry on dyin 4 book 3 xxx

August 13, 2013Started this afternoon and already struggling - just can't seem to gel with this series (see my review for book one in this series). Have "shelved" for now and will probably try again when I'm on hols at the end of July - who knows white sandy beach may leave me with a different frame of mind and I may just be able to read. Although I was planning on revisiting some of the BDB whilst away.

3.5 stars, I definitely enjoyed this one more than the first but I will admit that parts of it reminded me of FSOG. Curious to see how this plays out in the final book and hoping the FSOG similarities don't continue. I'm a fan of FSOG but I've read that already and want something new to read.

Loved book two! You really learn more about the characters. It is so neat how there are many story lines going on, but yet you don't feel like you are missing out on anything. Another great job done... can't wait till book 3. :)

So much better than the first book. Love the drama in this book. Cecile is much more of a bitch but a secret that she is hiding has, implications for Marc and Sophia.
Like that we learn so much more of Marc.
Sophia, is sweet and adorable.
Can't wait for book 3 the final book in this trilogy.

I think this novel was a lot more well rounded than the first one in the series. I really enjoyed the emotions falling off each character. Getty is one sick fuck though. I can't wait to find out what happens to him.

It's nicely written and book two delves a little further into who Marc is and his life. I found this book better than book one with some pretty good twists.
I'm looking forward to book three and finding out the darker side to Marc and the whole Getty saga.

I enjoyed this book more than the first one. I liked seeing the part of Marc that we never knew about. Knowing some of his secrets was the icing on the cake.

LOVED! I thought the second in the Devoted series was more romantic than the first. Marc was still Mr. Alpha, but he seemed more genuine towards others feelings. I can't wait until the next book:-)

Meine Erwartungen
Nachdem ich von dem ersten Band der Reihe schon so begeistert war, hatte ich ziemlich hohe Erwartungen an dieses Buch. Ich habe erwartet, dass dieser Band mehr von den Gefühlen der beiden Protagonisten handelt. Sich also mehr auf der Gefühlsebene als auf der sexuellen Ebene spielt. Ich habe natürlich trotzdem erwartet, dass es ziemlich heiß hergehen wird, denn die Autorin hat mir schon in dem ersten Buch bewiesen, dass sie es eher sehr erotisch mag und dieses auch durchaus schreiben kann. Ich habe erwartet, dass die Geschichte also genauso romantisch wie erotisch ist und, dass sie natürlich dramatisch ist, denn das gehört einfach dazu. Ach ich habe einfach erwartet, dass mich das Buch genauso gut wie der Vorgänger unterhält.

Ich habe eine gefühlte Ewigkeit darauf gewartet, dass dieses Buch erscheint und dann habe ich tatsächlich den Erscheinungstermin verpasst und habe mich mal wieder gefragt warum um Himmelswillen jeder dieses Buch in die Kamera hält. Neulich kam dann aber ein Paket bei mir an und darin befand sich Überraschung genau dieses Buch. Ich habe mich natürlich total gefreut und wollte es am liebsten sofort lesen.
Die Geschichte
Mich hat die Geschichte im ersten Band schon so begeistert. Deswegen war ich natürlich sehr gespannt darauf wie es weitergeht. Ich weiß, dass viele von euch der Meinung sind, dass dies einer der vielen Abklatsche von Shades of Grey ist, aber genau das ist es für mich nicht. Natürlich gibt es bei der Geschichten einige Parallelen, aber es gab auch schon ähnliche Geschichten bevor Shades of Grey veröffentlicht wurde. Diese Geschichte beinhaltet einen für mich völlig neuen Komplex, den ich wirklich sehr interessant finde. Für mich ist dies eine völlig eigenständige Geschichte.
Wie immer würde ich euch gerne den Inhalt dieses Buches kurz in meinen eigenen Worten zusammenfassen. Die Geschichte dreht sich um die 22-jährige Sophia, die im letzten Buch eine Affäre mit ihrem Lehrer Marc angefangen hat. Aber es reicht ja nicht, dass Marc ihr Lehrer ist, nein er ist auch noch einer der größten Hollywoodstars und jede Frau hätte ihn gerne als seine Freundin. Nachdem Sophia und Marc lange eine heimliche Beziehung bzw. sexuelle Affäre geführt haben, halten sie es nicht mehr aus und beschließen nach einigen Überlegungen ihre Beziehung öffentlich zu machen. Doch Sophia ist nicht klar worauf sie sich damit eingelassen hat, denn auf einmal wird sie von Horden von Paparazzia verfolgt und jeden Tag erscheint wieder eine neue erlogene Schlagzeile in den Klatschblättern. Sophia stresst der Rummel um sie sehr und sie wünscht sie nichts mehr, als das Marc sie einfach unterstützt, aber entweder er ist mal wieder weg, weil er irgendwelche geheimen Sachen klären muss oder er bestimmt alles für sie und nimmt ihr die Entscheidungen völlig aus der Hand. Er versucht sie vollkommen zu dominieren und eigentlich wär es das Beste für Sophia wenn sie sich von ihm fernhalten würde, denn er offenbart ihr immer mehr seine dunkle Seite. Doch Sophia empfindet so viel für ihren Marc und fühlt sich so sehr zu ihm hingezogen...
Ich hatte nun wirklich sehr hohe Erwartungen, aber diese wurden echt noch übertroffen. Die Autorin hat sich mit dieser Geschichte fast schon selbst übertroffen. Ich hätte niemals gedacht, dass sie nochmal so viele Wendungen einbauen würde. Ich war wirklich von der ersten bis zur letzten Seite gefesselt, weil ich unbedingt wissen wollte wie es mit Marc und Sophia weitergeht. Ich habe selten eine so romantische und dramatische Geschichte gelesen, die mir so sehr gefallen hat. Natürlich ist diese Geschichte auch erotisch und das echt nicht zu wenig. Die Autorin ist wirklich ein Meister erotische Szene trotzdem romantisch und sanft wirken zu lassen, auch wenn sie alles andere als sanft sind. Ich weiß gar nicht wie ich das genau beschreiben soll. Auf jeden Fall wusste ich nicht zuletzt wie es ausgeht und war die ganze Zeit über während ich es gelesen habe glücklich und zufrieden. Ich kann euch aber schon mal vorwarnen, denn dieses Buch hat einen total fiesen Cliffhanger, der einen frustriert zurücklässt, weil man unbedingt weiterlesen möchte.
Die Charaktere
Ich muss echt sagen, dass ich die Charaktere in diesem Buch sehr gerne mag, weil sie alle so unterschiedlich sind und mir eigentlich fast alle sympathisch sind. Doch bei so viel Harmonie muss es natürlich auch einen Antagonisten geben und den findet man in dieser Geschichte sofort wieder. Ich habe selten so einen herzensbösen Menschen "kennengelernt". Die Autorin hat die Charaktere sehr gut ausgearbeitet und sehr viel Kreativität beim Erfinden bewiesen. Jeder dieser Charaktere hat eine gute und eine schlechte Seite (außer der Antagonist, denn bei dem habe ich wirklich nur Böses gefunden), so wie im wahren Leben nun mal auch.
Sophia ist die Protagonistin der Geschichte. Sie ist 22 Jahre alt und lebt am Ivy College, wo sie auch studiert. Sie ist eine sehr begabte Schauspielerin, aber ihr fehlt es an Selbstbewusstsein und natürlich Erfahrung auf der Bühne. Neben dem College kümmert sie sich auch noch um ihren Dad, seine Freundin und ihren Halbbruder, da alle drei ohne sie aufgeschmissen wären. Sie tut dies so selbstlos und selbstverständlich. Sophia hat sich gleich am ersten Tag am Ivy College in Marc verguckt, aber sie hat ihn natürlich nur aus der Ferne angehimmelt, denn sie konnte sich nicht vorstellen, dass der Hollywoodstar Marc Blackwell Interesse an ihrer Wenigkeit hat. Doch dann kommen die beiden zusammen und Sophia verliebt sich Hals über Kopf in den gut aussehenden, aber auch gefährlichen Schauspieler. Sie ist diejenige, die die Beziehung öffentlich machen will, weil ihr diese Heimlichtuerei auf die Nerven geht und weil sie der ganzen Welt zeigen will wie verliebt die beiden ineinander sind. Doch als dann die ersten Paparazzos vor ihrer Tür steht, merkt sie wie es ist die Freundin eines gefeierten Hollywoodstars zu sein.
Sophia denkt immer zuerst an andere Menschen und würde am liebsten jedem in Not helfen. Sie ist sehr hilfsbereit und das vor allem bedingungslos. Sie liebt Marc bedingungslos und über alles und würde alles für die Beziehung der beiden tun. Sie ist so ein großherziger Mensch und ist meiner Meinung nach vollkommen liebenswert. Leider hat sie sehr viele Komplexe und denkt überhaupt nicht gut von sich, aber wahrscheinlich ist das der Grund warum ich mich so gut mit ihr identifizieren kann.
Marc ist 27 Jahre alt und Lehrer am Ivy College, das ihm auch gehört. Er ist ein riesiger Hollywoodstar und ist schon in seiner Jugend bekannt geworden, weil ihn sein Vater praktisch ins Showgeschäft gezwungen hat. Er musste schon sehr viel in seinem Leben miterleben und ist sehr geprägt. Er hat durchaus seine düsteren Seiten, aber man merkt, dass er das Herz eigentlich am rechten Fleck hat und alles dafür tun würde, dass Sophia in Sicherheit ist. Er muss immer und überall die Kontrolle über alles haben, weil er sonst das Gefühl hat, dass sein Leben völlig aus den Fugen gerät und auch bei Sophia entwickelt er sich richtig zu einem Kontrollfreak, weil er sie beschützen will. Er nimmt ihr jegliche Entscheidungsfreiheit und dominiert sie. Trotzdem mochte ich Marc nun mal vom ersten Augenblick an. Er ist toll.
Der Schreibstil
Die Geschichte ist aus der Sicht von der 22-jährigen Sophia geschrieben, da diese die Protagonistin der Geschichte ist. Sie erzählt die Geschichte in der Ich-Perspektive, sodass wir alle ihre Gedanken und Gefühle aus erster Hand erfahren und uns noch besser in die Geschichte hineinversetzen können.
Der Schreibstil ist sehr angenehm zu lesen, sodass die Seiten nur so an mir vorbeigeflogen sind und das Buch auf einmal zu Ende war. Ich könnte mir sehr gut vorstellen, dass Sophia so schreiben bzw. erzählen würde, da der Schreibstil locker, aber dennoch irgendwie kultiviert wirkt.
Natürlich beinhaltet die Geschichte sehr viele erotische Szenen und diese waren auch sehr genau und prickelnd beschrieben. Ich habe immer das Gefühl, dass die Autorin immer versucht sehr viel Sanftheit und Romantik in diese Szenen miteinfließen zu lassen.
Alles in einem gefällt mir der Schreibstil richtig gut und ich finde nicht daran zu kritisieren.
Der Titel
Ich finde, dass der Titel der Serie natürlich sehr gut passt, da "Devoted" ja so viel wie unterwürfig heißt und Sophia diese Art von Rolle in der sexuellen Beziehung zu Marc einnimmt. Dank diesem Titel weiß man auch sofort, was man für eine Art von Geschichte erwarten kann. Allerdings kann ich den Untertitel "Verbotene Leidenschaft" nicht ganz nachvollziehen, da die Leidenschaft der beiden nicht verboten ist... Naja aber da bin ich mal wieder richtig pingelig.
Das Cover
Die Wahl des Covers gefällt mir ziemlich gut, denn das Buch passt sich gut dem Cover des ersten Buches an und hat mit de grünen Dreieck etwas auffälliges. Inzwischen dürftet ihr wissen, dass ich allerdings nicht so der Fan von Blumen auf dem Cover eines Erotikbuchs bin, da ich immer das Gefühl habe, dass den Zuständigen nicht passendere eingefallen ist.
Mein Fazit
"Devoted 02- Verbotene Leidenschaft" von S. Quinn konnte meiner Meinung nach den ersten Band der Reihe toppen und mich vollkommen begeistern und überzeugen.

Beim Titel gefällt mir der Untertitel "Verbotene Leidenschaft" nicht, da ich der Meinung bin, dass er nicht richtig passt und beim Cover mag ich diese nichtssagende Blume nicht, die man auf 70% der erotischen Bücher findet.
Da ich für den Titel eigentlich nie Punkte abziehen und mir die Geschichte noch besser gefallen hat, als die vorherige gebe ich...

Ich habe eine gefühlte Ewigkeit darauf gewartet, dass dieses Buch erscheint und dann habe ich tatsächlich den Erscheinungstermin verpasst und habe mich mal wieder gefragt warum um Himmelswillen jeder dieses Buch in die Kamera hält. Neulich kam dann aber ein Paket bei mir an und darin befand sich Überraschung genau dieses Buch. Ich habe mich natürlich total gefreut und wollte es am liebsten sofort lesen.
Die Geschichte
Mich hat die Geschichte im ersten Band schon so begeistert. Deswegen war ich natürlich sehr gespannt darauf wie es weitergeht. Ich weiß, dass viele von euch der Meinung sind, dass dies einer der vielen Abklatsche von Shades of Grey ist, aber genau das ist es für mich nicht. Natürlich gibt es bei der Geschichten einige Parallelen, aber es gab auch schon ähnliche Geschichten bevor Shades of Grey veröffentlicht wurde. Diese Geschichte beinhaltet einen für mich völlig neuen Komplex, den ich wirklich sehr interessant finde. Für mich ist dies eine völlig eigenständige Geschichte.
Wie immer würde ich euch gerne den Inhalt dieses Buches kurz in meinen eigenen Worten zusammenfassen. Die Geschichte dreht sich um die 22-jährige Sophia, die im letzten Buch eine Affäre mit ihrem Lehrer Marc angefangen hat. Aber es reicht ja nicht, dass Marc ihr Lehrer ist, nein er ist auch noch einer der größten Hollywoodstars und jede Frau hätte ihn gerne als seine Freundin. Nachdem Sophia und Marc lange eine heimliche Beziehung bzw. sexuelle Affäre geführt haben, halten sie es nicht mehr aus und beschließen nach einigen Überlegungen ihre Beziehung öffentlich zu machen. Doch Sophia ist nicht klar worauf sie sich damit eingelassen hat, denn auf einmal wird sie von Horden von Paparazzia verfolgt und jeden Tag erscheint wieder eine neue erlogene Schlagzeile in den Klatschblättern. Sophia stresst der Rummel um sie sehr und sie wünscht sie nichts mehr, als das Marc sie einfach unterstützt, aber entweder er ist mal wieder weg, weil er irgendwelche geheimen Sachen klären muss oder er bestimmt alles für sie und nimmt ihr die Entscheidungen völlig aus der Hand. Er versucht sie vollkommen zu dominieren und eigentlich wär es das Beste für Sophia wenn sie sich von ihm fernhalten würde, denn er offenbart ihr immer mehr seine dunkle Seite. Doch Sophia empfindet so viel für ihren Marc und fühlt sich so sehr zu ihm hingezogen...

Where the Ivy Grows continues Marc and Sophia’s story from where the first book left us, and I enjoyed it more than the first in all honesty. However, I do feel that it needs more in order to be the 5-star rated story that it potentially could be.
I enjoyed getting to know Marc better. I’m still not sure about Sophia – I cannot see us being best of friends at this moment in time. It was nice to see progression of their fledgling relationship and the difficulties that occur when you’re in the spotlight and have a reputation like Marc. There is plenty of drama throughout this narrative and not necessarily all on the stage! What I would like to see in the third book is a connection between Marc and Sophia. Currently, he shows he cares by protecting her, but other than through sex, I feel no emotion nor chemistry.

Tę cześć się pochłania w kilka godzin, oprócz scen erotycznych, których jest trochę mniej niż w pierwszej części, pojawia się wątek kryminalny, co wychodzi to na plus dla całej książki, choć czułam niedosyt pikantnych scen erotycznych. Sophia pokazuje pazurki i przeciwstawia się Markowi, a Mark trochę traci na "wyrazistości", chyba za bardzo przesłodzony w całym swoim uczuciu do Sophii.
Jeśli ktoś nie szuka ambitnej literatury, tylko dobrej rozrywki na wieczór to zdecydowanie polecam do przeczytania, czyta lekko i przyjemnie, akcja bardzo wciąga i oderwać się nie można, co skutkowało zarwaną nocką. W 2 dni pochłonięta cała trylogia.
Jeśli ktoś nie szuka ambitnej literatury, tylko dobrej rozrywki na wieczór to zdecydowanie polecam do przeczytania, czyta lekko i przyjemnie, akcja bardzo wciąga i oderwać się nie można, co skutkowało zarwaną nocką. W 2 dni pochłonięta cała trylogia.
