Travis Hurts - Fugitive Recovery Specialist supreme!

Travis was able to seize his dream - a spacecraft outfitted with cells to hold the wanted criminals he hunted! Now all he had to do was to fill it up and claim the bounties. His first task, to retain a local person to cook and clean while he performed his tasks. He found the perfect person for the job. A pregnant widow on the backwater planet would fit the bill, but Travis had no idea how his decision would develop. Or the emotions that would be unleashed.

Great action, a pleasant storyline, and memorable characters have brought together the first tug at the heart of a new series starring the Bounty Hunter and his Beauty! An amazing ride into a great read! Can't wait for the next adventures!

Bounty hunter being hunted

It's certainly different. Bounty hunter goes on the hunt, only to then discover he is being hunted too. He also has women issues to deal with along the way
It's overly detailed at times, you can skip a couple of pages and lose nothing of the story, but most of the time it's an enjoyable, action fueled story

If you like westerns read Louis Lamour or Zane Grey or any of the other good writers. It is ludicrous to have guys getting off self operating spaceships and going into fast draw gun fights and knife fights. I have enjoyed quite a few of Toby Neighbors books but this is a suspension of belief too far.

Hoping for more in the series

I really like the main character. This book gives him a solid backstory without being a drag on the main plot line. There is a lot of room for future stories but the book stands well alone with a reasonable ending.

action aplenty

Loved the plot and Hurts is a fabulous character. Many layers of story and still more to be discovered. Can a bounty hunter be a likeable person?
Wonderful entertainment.

Good sci fi adventure with a western feel

But Threat was even more violent than I expected with a sometimes gruesome body count. I like Travis and Ava, and the story is good.

It was an enjoyable read. A bit long winded on minor psychological in your head things. But overall it moved well and the plot worked. Already have the next book in the series.
