I’m no expert, but I have read a handful of self-help books about money/finances. This is the ONLY book I have found actually helpful. Not only does it offer practical advice (none of that “skip your morning Starbucks run to save money” crap), but it also provides clear step-by-step instructions to guide each of your financial goals. This book is inspiring and I encourage anyone who needs motivation to make financial changes to read it!
I received a digital ARC of this book, and I’m so glad I was able to read it early. It’s an amazing resource that has helped me get my financial life in order. I’ve read some of Tiffany’s other books, and am a member of her Live Richer Academy. Ever since I started following her advice, my financial life has improved and I’m in control of my money and paying down my debt. This workbooks gives you all of the important information covered in Get Good With Money, but it adds space for you to actually do the work of what you’re reading. I’ve been diligently taking notes and filling out all of the activities in this workbook (on paper because for some reason I can’t seem to annotate in NetGalley}. It’s also a very easy read, and holds your interest because hey, who doesn’t want to increase their wealth! If you’re looking to find a financial educator to help you get your finances in order, this is a great book to start out with. Tiffany is very real with her advice, and breaks it down so the steps you need to take are manageable. After reading and working in this book, you’ll want to read all of her books!

Tiffany Aliche is not only an incredible financial coach but also an incredible writer. "Made Whole" is the perfect follow-up to her previous book, "Get Good with Money," but new readers to Tiffany won't feel left out should they start with "Made Whole." In this new book, Tiffany takes the reader through a similar 100% model for financial wholeness seen in her previous book, 10% at a time, and gets you thinking about each step more actively in a workbook format. By the end of the book, you've hit on all areas of financial wholeness, from essential savings and creating a debt plan to having a will or trust developed to manage life's inevitable end—making it so your loved ones can focus on grieving and not managing your financial affairs.
Financial literacy is often dull for most people, overshadowed by fear because they worry they don't have enough. Tiffany creates a light and playful dialogue with the reader, making you feel like she's right there with you—and having your back the entire time. If you're looking to get your feet firmly planted on the ground of financial literacy, you couldn't do better than starting here. You'll leave this title feeling educated and relieved that your financial life is much more put together than when you started.
I didn’t realize when I reserved this from the library that this is a workbook to accompany the primary publication, Get Good With Money. Even so, I feel like this workbook provides enough background for you to tackle your financial worries and goals. It’s pretty basic, but the chapters allow you to jump around to what’s relevant to you, and I particularly found the sections on insurance and wills a needed reminder. This would be great to gift to young adults out of high school or college to set them up well in life. Aliche is a friendly guide that doesn’t shame but focuses on education and action.
I am currently immersed in the Made Whole journey and wouldn’t want anyone else to be my mentor on this path than Tiffany Aliche. I have had the pleasure of having access to the “sister” book to this amazing piece of work via Audible, which is how I came to learn of Tiffany. While this workbook does not at all require its companion/sister book “Get Good With Money” in order to make it make sense, I am grateful to have had access and exposure to both. With so much information out there, it can get very overwhelming to sift through all that is available and Tiffany makes it so bearable and doable with this step-by-step guide to financial wholeness. I can now listen to GGWM in the car and not feel anxious that I cannot write it all down in that moment, as I can now listen and take that information all in, and then physically do the work with the workbook, “Made Whole” when I’m able to. I have never had more confidence that I can do it! I am so grateful for this workbook and look forward to more to come from Tiffany! I am blessed to have received early access to the workbook and cannot wait to receive my hardcopy in the coming weeks! Thank you, Tiffany…. for literally changing the trajectory of life for me and my two sons toward financial wholeness and freedom. This knowledge is a beautiful gift!
This financial planning workbook is accessible and down-to-earth, sharing helpful information and checklists for people to get their financial lives in order. The author shares personal examples throughout, and also shares reflections from other women who have made positive changes. She's very encouraging, and she isn't afraid to deal with some of the emotional elements related to people's money experiences and mental blocks with money.
I had not read the author's previous book, but that did not take away from my experience. She explains everything very clearly, and this book is filled with helpful information. The author also shares ideas for where to get more guidance if you need professional help with a different part of your financial life. Although this book has workbook features, it isn't the kind of book with lots of blank spaces that you have to fill out. This has lots of substance and helpful insight, and the workbook elements are just extra.
I would recommend this to people who want to better understand personal finance and make positive changes in their lives, and even though this is mainly targeted towards women, the author shares great advice that is relevant to everyone.
I received a temporary digital copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This "Made Whole" workbook is just what I needed to motivate using the information and the tools provided at madewholeworkbook.com to jumpstart my journey to financial wholeness. I've read many of Tiffany Aliche's books and other self-help financial books but have never put any of what I've read to use until now! What changed? This guide forces you to do the work, realize your (Net)worth, and make a change. Chapters 7 and 11 have captivated my interest, and they helped me realize how I've been procrastinating on essential aspects of my financial wholeness. This book also helped me realize that I am on the right track as I have begun tackling most of the steps outlined in the book. If you're a procrastinator like me, look no further because this book is for YOU! I highly recommend reading and using this guide to its fullest potential. The key is committing yourself to following the steps in each chapter and sticking with it. Please read it, use it, or gift it—perfect gift for anyone.
If you are looking for a book that teaches you about finances in a simple way look no farther. The book breaks down the steps to get your financial life in words that anyone can understand. The ten steps to financial wholeness are designed so they can be completed at any step in your financial journey. I also love the fact that it is a hardcover workbook so I can apply the steps as I am reading. The quick starts and Tiffany Tips add more flavor and keep you sipping on the tea. Overall, the book is a game changer for anyone trying to get on track and stay there. From the first chapter, I knew the book was going to change my life so I felt it only right to order additional copies for some of my family.
I've been wanting to read Tiffany "The Budgetnista" Aliche's financial education books. I've been extremely stressed about finances for the past year since paying for our children's college tuition while getting closer to retirement. Made whole is a great workbook to help beginners to intermediate budget and money conscious people organize and approach each step at their own pace. There are some details about each aspect of financial planning. For me, I'm at the stage of planning trusts and estates, especially a special needs trust for my special needs children. Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
Made Whole is the perfect follow up to Get Good with Money! It doubles down on encouraging you to begin your financial wellness journey because it’s a workbook. As you read each lesson, because they are definitely lessons, you can put your personal data right in the book! This makes it super easy to pick up where you left off if you get sidetracked also. With each lesson, section, level, stage that I complete I feel accomplished. I can almost physically feel my growth. This book is a guided walk through the financial muck that journeys through identification, acknowledgement, forgiveness, planning, and growth. The focus is moving forward and all you need is this workbook to do it.
I highly recommend this book for every single human! As someone who has always struggled to maintain a budget and/or good financial health, this book has already helped me financially grow tremendously. All of Tiffany’s teachings are practical and easy to follow. She breaks everything down in ways that are easy to comprehend and does an excellent job at making the reader not feel alone in the process. I truly enjoy the hands on aspect of creating my own personal Made Whole budget alongside the many curated examples that were provided. This is definitely a workbook that I will be continuously referring back to in the years to come!

Tiffany “the Budgetnista “ Aliche does not disappoint! She teaches us how to build a firm foundation of creating a budget, building a savings account, creating an emergency fund and moving forward to improving your credit score and investing in yourself for your retirement fund. She explains it in simple language while she shares empathy for where you currently are on your journey. This is a must read and a must have in order to seriously begin this journey to become whole. This is a life changing experience of reading this how to book by none other than Tiffany “the Budgetnista “ Aliche and I’m forever grateful for this wonderful opportunity.
I heard an interview with the author last year where she recommended taking a look at your bank account every day - maybe make it a first-thing-in-the-morning habit. I had never heard of this before! I've always avoided looking at my checking account very much - just hoping it would have enough to cover my monthly expenditures. This was an unhealthy relationship with money. Tiffany Aliche's advice has changed my life!
Tiffany Aliche's book contains guides for dealing with all the money in your life, including savings, investing, and insurance. Her wisdom is invaluable and is presented in an easily understandable way.
This is the perfect blueprint to get your finances on track. From raising your credit score, eliminating your debt, savings and much more this book has everything covered. There are even worksheets in this book to help you better review your situation, and help you put together the best plan for your finances. Don’t wait until the new year to get your finances straight, buy this book the minute it comes out. You will reach your financial goals in no time. This book covers everything you need to get your finances together!
This book is probably better for those with relatively low financial literacy and a fair amount of debt. If those things are not true for you, about three quarters of this book will not be particularly useful. I also didn't appreciate Tiffany's self-congratulatory tone and constant references to herself as the "budgetnista." I did get a few small things to consider from this book, but on the whole it wasn't very helpful to me, and I didn't care for the author's tone. Not inherently a bad book, but not my cup of tea and not a book I'll recommend to others. 2.5 - 3 stars
If you read Get Good With Money, there is not really anything new here BUT it’s a great companion, more of a workbook. There were a couple of things I disagree with but they were minor things around insurance, which is where financial people tend to disagree, in my experience. This can definitely be read without having read Get Good With Money first.
Note: Tiffany has LOTS of free content on the web. Exhaust that before you pay for any of her programs. If you get on her list, she does promote a lot of affiliate links. Do your due diligence; I don’t always think they are the best options.
Evaluating your financial status isn't always an easy or exciting thing but Aliche's, Made Whole, is an excellent guide to get you to assess and build a foundation for wholeness - with no stones unturned! This read will make one's self more confident in his/her financial footing and would make great gifts for readers of various generations (as it discusses topics ranging from budgeting to estate planning + MORE)! Get yours as soon as possible!
As a long time follower of the Budgetnista, I could not wait to get my hands on this book! I love that unlike a lot of financial books this was an easy read. She hit on every financial topic we can think of : savings, creating a plan to get rid of your debt, and even having a will. I loved it and can't wait to implement some of the things I've learned.
Thank you to NetGalley for the Arc, all opinion are my own.
I used to follow Dave Ramsey, but I wasn't getting anywhere with finances. I heard the author on the Mel Robbins show. After hearing her speak, I knew this book was meant for me. I enjoyed each chapter. I'm not ready to invest, so the later chapters didn't apply to me, but I like how she breaks down each step of financial wholeness into single chapters. Her strategies in this book actually worked for me.
I think about 2/3 of this book would have been more useful to me if I were a complete novice when it comes to finances. This is why I would like to emphasize that my rating is based on the amount of new information I learned through reading this rather than the quality of the book itself. I really appreciated the deep dive into estate planning because I don't often see this covered in personal finance books.
I recently decided to take better control of my finances. Made Whole came right on time. Tiffany outlines the exact steps needed to examine and improve your finances. I love the fact that the chapters are short and to the point. I also appreciate the personal anecdotes and light humor. The book is an easy read. I am excited that I am on my way to becoming financially whole!
Read for Britt’s challenge. Loved the approachability of this and the depth of information without being condescending, which is tough to do in this field in my opinion. Loved how practical and accessible it was. I’d recommend this to anyone wanting to learn more about or enhance their financial wellness.
Tiffany is a blessing to this world! This workbook is such a great tool if you are needing/ready to better your financial health. With step by step actions, (shes a teacher alright) you’ll be able to easily follow along a build a plan for your future! She breaks everything down so it is simple & in no way overwhelming.
Made Whole by Tiffany Aliche is a very practical financial guide! It is broken into 10 parts that essentially provide tips for how to build a budget, estate plan, invest and the like. What makes this book special is that it meets you where you are and drops the shame and seriousness around money and budgeting! I absolutely loved it and plan to take a few tips! It is easy to follow and very enjoyable which is impressive because budgeting and planning can be stressful so many of us!
Thank you to NetGalley and Rodale books for the digital advanced readers copy!!
I absolutely LOVED this book!! I love a finance book with actionable steps, and this book is full of ideas. Tiffany also does a really good job of breaking down big/scary/overwhelming topics into smaller, bite-sized, attainable action plans. I will definitely revisit this book again as I progress in my financial journey.
On par with the previous book. I watched Tiffany Aliche in her Netflix documentary, and I'm part of her Patreon. I was really interested in the steps towards being financially stable. I am happy to have reviewed her advice. I received a review copy from NetGalley and have left my opinion.
Highly recommend! Im only at the beginning stages of financial wholeness but This book is one to grow with you and your financial journey! It can be read as a stand alone but if you're like me you have Get Good With Money' and it's the perfect companion!
This book came right on time!! I am finally getting serious about my financial journey. If you are like me it is a great starting point to get on the right path to financial wholeness. It is an eye opener and I highly recommend it it to anyone looking to start their financial journey.
