Great continuation of the series with some great battles only thing I wasn't happy with was the fact that he left us with the Panthers split up. We've got one wounded in the Desert; we've got Gerd who was about to get crushed by the Immortal Dragon and the rest of the panthers had gone through the portal with an injured Ingrid. And now he leaves us hanging like this til the end of February. I'm hoping it will be sooner.

This book has us following the panther team to different locations apart from a few split up.
Sadly I started the series that follow after this one (it's still on going just three books out) before this series with the dragons in another world, the Panthers has cameos in that one and two end up in that world. So I have been waiting for moments that link the humans, this book at the end show a link to how one of are loved team end up where they do. (Sorry don't want to give spoilers) For me I felt sad reading this series as I got to know and love characters because I have seen the future in the path of dragons series (will read book four in that series in a different light now) so please read in order it's a great series, wish I read the gods series first (one before this one) you can read just one series (but why more books I say) you miss little details if you don't know history. This series is for young and older very PG in the romance, there is war but first weapon choice is mostly with arrows, plus scary dragons.I would say 12 up depends on child. This book shows friendships and loyalty in every book.
Egil is finally being crowned King of Norghana, if he can just survive the coronation festivities it’ll be a miracle. The Snow Panthers and other Rangers were amazing. Now comes the problems of bringing the east and west together and rebuilding the kingdom strategically and financially. And they need to find the Immortal Dragon, Derga-Sho-Blaska and discover a way to defeat him.
I love the journey into the Frozen Continent and the description of Nilsa’s visit to the Desher Tumaini. But I don’t like the abrupt ending.
Footnote: 1) I admit a skipped through the descriptions of the Coronation fights. I don’t mind fights for real or for training, but just for showing off and getting wounded is nuts. It weakens the military force. And this was page after page of fights that nothing to do with the main storyline.
Fave scenes: Camu’s invisible protection, Gerd visiting his uncle, Snowflake & Big Boy defending the Shelter and fighting the 4 lesser dragons.
What a great book before the finale. This book packs an emotional punch. Book ends on a Cliffhanger of sort. There are two major blows to major characters that were left in the air. One I think was discussed in the previous chapter before the event in how to solve it. The other made me sad as there is possibly no way of survival. Glad Lasgol continues to grow in power size. Everything with Egil was fantastic. I like him as king. I can't believe the next time I write a review it will be for the finale of the series. What a ride it has been. This book series has basically taken me all year to catch up to this point. And through its ups and downs it has been worth it. Can't wait to read how it all ends.

The Panthers! Ingrid - Nilsa - Astrid - Gerd - Viggo - Lasgol - Egil (the King) I love them all! The ‘Deep Threat’ was full of suspense, Dragon dangers around every corner. Pedro’s writing is very descriptive to the point I was feeling intense dread and fearful for all the characters in their separate situations. The series is coming to an end. Book 19 ended with a cliff hanger. The very last book #20, The King’s Sacrifice sounds like I might be in tears… Those that passed left me teary eyed :- ( However, I am hopeful for a great ending to all the characters who survived up to this point (fingers crossed) knowing impending doom may away some.
I really enjoy this series, I like all fans hate the long and endless wait until the book is out ;). I have read the other series as well during the wait and Man what an awesome read it was. A little confused with Lasgol in the other series but love him the same. I absolutely love how he looks older in the other series. With this one your covers refuse to show his maturity from the beginning of his path at 15 to now in his 20’s. Anyway thank you for the adventure but pleeeaase! Not Gerd!
Was very slow and boring till about 50%. I had to stop reading it. It was so bad. Took a week or more off from reading then it finally started getting good. If you can make it halfway without giving up. You will enjoy the last half. No spoilers but. I hated the way the book ended. Why leave with a cliffhanger. One last book in series. Coming feb 24 2024 I think. Couple bad books in series. I hope last one is not boring till the middle of book
So this book is 5 stars for me mainly because the series felt like it was lagging for a couple books and this one finally picked up the pace. There were of course slow parts but overall it was better than some of the recent books. One thing I did not like and I agree with other reviews is the cliffhanger… I am not a fan of cliffhangers in books and this author never really used one before, why start now? If we’re reading the series after 19 books we are clearly going to keep reading…
This book felt like a step back in the writing quality of the series. It may be that I've just read some really great books lately, but the interactions between characters was hard to read at times. The writing felt clunky and not too much happened during the 500+ pages. The plot is still interesting so that's what is still going for the series. I'm also pretty sure the book is translated to english which may explain some of the poor writing.
Book 19 was a fun read and had a few errors. The plot and characters have developed well enough throughout the series. The plot is a bit predictable and has the characters running around. There is a lot of back and forth again with the characters going from one place to another and a lot of filler information. The characters have developed well enough, but still lack growth in certain areas.
This is an exciting fantasy series of books for young adults. The books are well written, plots are suspenseful, surprises around every event, characters are well built. Sometimes the author repeats a bit here and there but is useful for young readers. This is a clean series with out raunchy trash talk or decadent events. Young adults will enjoy this book.
While I’m willing to recommend this book I must disclose to you that I’ve read all 20 in the series. The last book is an unmitigated disaster. The author was clearly tired of the work and just gave up. You can enjoy the journey if you want but trust me when I tell you that you will be utterly devastated. I can’t get over it. I’ll never read another one of his books again. You have been warned
I have read all of Pedro’s book and have never been disappointed. I hope they all remain bullet proof as I e grown attached to the whole gang animals included. Can’t wait for the next book in the new year. I won’t give any spoilers but there’s suspense!
I feel like the story is drawing on too long at this point and that there is a lot missing that could make it more satisfying. The first half of the book was good, but not so much the second half.
This series has been a fun read. The Panthers are always in deep trouble and this installment doesn’t disappoint. If you made it this far you know the story and I encourage you to finish the series!
I'm starting the last book in this 20 book series and I haven't been bored not even a minute! Excellent work! I would recommend these to any age group just wonderfully written. I'm 62 and I find the characters so neat, good imagination!
I am a huge fan of this series, but it tends to become a bit of a slog with so many books in the series. But with the last book and this one we are finally getting somewhere. We are finally gay our reward - the action is ramping up.
Hard to think that this was book 19 in a series. Still very entertaining with fresh ideas and situations in the storyline. Anxious to read the next and final chapter. After the dramatic ending this book had, have to see what happens next….
Incredible! What a cliffhanger! Normally, I hate cliffhangers but this one was done so well that I can't find fault with it. The stakes are really high now and I hope that everyone makes it....
This book had me riveted to the story the whole time. Holy Moly, talk about a cliffhanger ending. Can't believe how good it was. The Panthers have once again fought for their country. The threat is real, and it's coming for them all.
This is getting good they are finally clashing and they don’t know what to do they have a hope but will it be enough you have to read this series it is amazing!!
Oh man...it just keeps on going. Lots of detail but the main plot is awesome. Can't wait till the next one comes out in February! I can see this series going another 10 books.
