In the middle of a forest, in an unknown location, is a game. A psychological game designed to play with the mind until it breaks.
The man responsible wants fresh meat. Someone who hasn't experienced the horrors of the real world. He wants to see how long it would take to make them fall apart, to make them wish for death.
Combing the city of Surrey, he spots his next target...a young librarian named Jenna McCay.
Jenna McCay didn’t realize that when you turn 19, the easy life she knew would end, and the horrors of life would set in, in unimaginable ways.
Will she find the strength to survive the game, or will she break before the final curtain falls?

Patricia Elliott lives in Beautiful British Columbia with her family. Now that her lovely kids are all teenagers and older, she has decided to actively pursue her passion for the written word.
When she was a youngster, she spent the majority of her time writing fan-fiction and poetry to avoid the harsh reality of bullying. Writing allowed her to escape into another world, even if temporarily; a world in which she could be anyone or anything, even a mermaid.
Dreams really can come true. If you believe it, you can achieve it!
This book kept me wanting to know what happens next and find out how Jenna will handle everything thrown her way. I would recommend this to anyone who loves psychological thrillers and can't wait to see what's next from this author... an amazing read that will keep you up wanting to know what happens next...
I need to know what happens!!! I don’t want to say it’s a complete cliffhanger but it is lol! I need to know what’s in store for Jenna! How is she gonna work thru her trauma?! I really enjoyed reading Her Prison, His Game! I read it in one day! It definitely threw me for a loop!!! A must read!
This book was gifted to me by a friend and I went in blind, holy wow! The twists and turns in this book made it hard to put down. Kept me on edge and kept my mind guessing what would happen the entire time. Okay but that ending!? HOW can you leave us like that?! Immediately ordering the second book in the duo because I NEED to know what happens next!!
I really hate writing poor reviews and wasn’t going to write out anything. But I had high hopes for this one and genuinely feel like I read a different book than all the other reviewers. I have never cringed from dialogue as much as I did reading this. You know when a YA novel actually feels like a YA novel? This felt like it was a wanna-be adult novel written by a YA. The plot was good and could’ve been a really exciting read but the execution was subpar and I had no emotional connection to any of the characters. The main character was constantly switching between this intelligent young woman to someone who’s being tortured and says “what the heck” and “oh darn” out loud to herself every five minutes.
If you love psychological thrillers with twists and turns, this is the book for you. Jenna, the FMC, after being kidnapped, wakes up to a house of horrors and her nightmare begins. She becomes a victim of psychological games and SA of a man who considers himself to be a scientist. While she did get victimized, she stayed strong and feisty. She didn’t take things lying down and constantly worked at saving herself. I won’t give any spoilers, but this story will keep you on the edge of your seat.
This author did a great job keeping the identity of the “scientist” throughout the book. She takes the reader on a rollercoaster ride on trying to guess who it could be. Trust me, there were several characters who I initially guessed was the bad guy. The world this author created was creepy and some parts made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.
This is book one of this series and I cannot wait to read book two to see how Jenna recovers after being rescued.
I really enjoyed this tense crime thriller about a a young girl who endures some horrifying 'experiments'. It reminds me of one of my favourite serial killer movies, Kiss The Girls, as it is told from the perspectives of the victim, the assailant, the family and the detective. It also has a good mixture of action, drama, suspense and intrigue which kept me hooked from start to finish. A highly recommended read for lovers of crime and horror fiction.
Loved this book. The twist at the end I didn't see coming, actually two twists. This was a hard book to put down. It will pull you along until you are hooked. I have ordered the second book in the series.
