About Mapplethorpe’s flowers, all has been said. They are masterpieces, bringing to light a transgressive quality found in nature’s simplicity of forms. I love them.
This is a beautiful coffee-table book with a large format and excellent quality prints, perfectly showcasing this part of his work.
