Prescott High #3

If I Stumble

Rate this book
I was a monster. I did what I felt was necessary to get what I wanted and I didn’t care who I ran over in the process… but that was before. Before I met London and my entire focus shifted. Now, I care about her. Making her happy and helping her navigate through life. To do that, I need to control the monster and put her needs before my own.Transitioning back into normal life is difficult enough, but when my brother gets into an accident, my entire world turns upside down. The only person I can count on is Connor. My sister views me as another thing she needs to deal with and my brother? Well, his opinion doesn’t really matter anymore. I know without Connor by my side, I’d be spiraling and probably end back in Sandywood again.

London is a sweet, down to earth and caring person. She might close off sometimes but will let you know how she is feeling. She is dealing with body dysmorphia and while she struggles time and again, she has good people batting in her corner to help her through it.

Connor has come a long way since we met him in If I Surrender. He has seen the impact of his actions and while it remains a part of him, he is moving forward to be the best version of himself he can be. He shows his genuine concern for his friends and family and isn’t afraid to speak his mind or take control where necessary. This definitely adds to his redemption story.

These two! We hear about the time they spent together while recovering at Sandywood and see just how tied to the hip they are. Connor will be there for London no matter what, keeping her safe, healthy, and confident, and even when London has her own struggles, she is there to support Connor when he needs and whenever he needs a reminder of the kind and tender person he is despite his past. They can read each other well and are patient with the other. They communicate and implicitly trust the other. No matter what, these two are sticking together through thick and thin, and we are totally here for it!

We also see the return of Hadley, Piper, Grayson and Mac as well as their parents. I love how they had London and Conner’s back, especially when Hadley and Piper team up to show London that she’s every bit of an important person she is. We get some humor from this gang and see how close their bonds are.

London also has to deal with events that for several occasion had me wondering where the tissues were. Same with Connor. This isn’t a long read, but their story is definitely one that hits you hard, as you see them grow and develop and help each other through it.

Overall, this has been a fantastic series to read and you’ll definitely being thinking of it long after the covers close. I wonder where our characters will go from here?.

Connor was the villain. There’s really no doubt about it. He was horrible and horrifying throughout the first two books up until he told Hadley how he felt. I honestly couldn’t imagine him changing or coming back from being the monster he was. But…even monsters deserve a second chance.

I won’t say that Connor is a completely different person, he acknowledges that he still has that monster within, but he really is trying to be a better person, for himself, his friends, and his family. And for London, the beautiful, broken girl who captured his attention while he was in Sandywood to get the help he needed.

London has had her own struggles, all the more reason to get help in Sandywood. But when things get out of control at home, she turns to Connor, the guy who’s been her rock and pushed her to get healthy.

I ended up really loving how amazing Connor was with London. He was there for her when she needed support, advocated for her when she wouldn’t, and let her fight the battles she needed to. Quite honestly, he did all the right things. I especially loved it when he made it clear he’d let his monster loose and do whatever it took to protect London!.

I will start out by saying that I hated Connor in the first book and a half, but man oh man did he turn it around! 😍 I loved that this was his redemption and what a redemption it was! 😍

Connor and London could not be more perfect for each other… he protects her and shows her that she is perfect just the way she is. She gives him something to focus on so his “monster” doesn’t resurface. I love the way they balance each other and also the way that the other couples/friends show up for both of them when they need it.

I love the reformed relationship between Piper and Connor. I also love how Mac and Grayson show up and support Connor despite his previous actions.

I’m so glad that Connor and London got their HEA. Definitely wishing it wasn’t over, but who knows what the future holds. Right, Kristin…? 😎👀💕.

I could not get enough of this book! I kept rereading chapters so I could go through the emotions again. Kristin MacQueen is the Queen of writing books! I have loved all of her books so much. This one focuses on Connor and London. Though different from each other, together they work. London is a strong woman with her own issues but has come to rely on Connor and he takes his role quite seriously. They have a very interesting relationship. I loved how Connor put London first. Though he had his faults, he became endearing.

If I Stumble is the third book in the Prescott High series and is Connor and London's story and one that takes you heart on ride that is filled with struggles, emotions and twists.

In this book we see another side of Connor for the previous books, the one where he is recovering and trying to a better person. While in the hospital, he meets and gets to know London, who has her own struggles.

Amazing story that I did not want to put down. I enjoyed each twists and turns this book and series brought.

Two broken people, one a monster, a villain but he’s found his reason for change.
Connor and London meet at Sandywood and now he’s intent of being there for her in any way she needs.
Kristin Macqueen does a brilliant job of making a character you’re not sure about become one you truly want to see happy. Connor began as not a nice guy but his story really made me cheer for him.
Emotional, steamy, heartfelt, lots of character growth, romance and a HEA.
A wonderful addition to a great series.

I just absolutely love this series. This is Connor and London’s story, and it’s such a heartbreaking but also heartwarming story. Both Connor and London have had life challenges to overcome, and it looks like together they can maybe make it. The characters in this series are absolutely amazing, from strong friendships, sizzling chemistry, this is a series you won’t want to miss out. Amazing storylines that will have you hooked. Can’t recommend this series enough!.

I thought that Connor and London were fascinating, I enjoyed their story, it was nice to see them growing together to both become the best versions of themselves, I thought it was weird how little of a part Hadley played in this book, in the last one Hadley was everything to Connor and now in this book she’s barely there, a small insignificant pin prick compared to London, I guess it kinda has to be that way considering this is a Connor and London book but at least I loved the way the book ended, it made me happy to see everyone all sticking together!

Fantastic book of a series.
I didn't know how I felt about Connor when I first met him. Didn't want him to be a good guy, but by the end of book 2 in this series, I was ready to read his redemption story.
And boy did he have one!
Enjoyed London and seeing her growth too in the book.

If you love books about best friends and rom-coms all mixed together turning into awesome characters you want for your own besties, this series is for you!

Can't wait for more from this author.

Third book in the Prescott High series and this was the perfect way the redeem Connor. He was not the most likable character in the other books.
Connor and London are that perfectly imperfect couple….he is so protective of her and makes sure she is always happy. London has a way of keeping Connor’s focus shifted.

I really enjoyed this romance. I loved London as she is such a sweetheart. Connor has really changed so much from the other books, and I liked watching him grow. He really cares for London and does his best to make things easier for her. This book was quite a tear jerker at times but is what makes this book so riveting!.

This is the third story in the "Prescott High" it can be read as a stand alone read. However, I think you would get more out of this story by reading them in order. This one is about London and Connor. I enjoyed how this story developed. It is a very captivating read with drama, danger, heartbreak, suspense and love. I thought the author did a good job developing this story.

I am the first to admit I am not a Connor fan. But fuck. I loved his book. I loved him and how he was with London and I adored her. I love how the book showed all the couples and their graduation and plans I love how the girls brought in London with ease. I cried and laughed and it was an emotional roller coaster but I loved every second of it.

The triangle is complete. Each of the three kings now has their story, all intertwining with each other to the very end. A great trio of books to make a perfectly embodied story.

This book was a great conclusion to the Prescott High series by Kristin MacQueen. While Connor struggled a lot in the previous books, it was so nice to see him grow and find himself in this story. I absolutely loved London, she's fierce and the way they find strength from us each other is powerful. I enjoyed this book!
