A peek at the Christmas tree, when Brigid and her basset, Basil, were supposed to be asleep, reveals someone stole Santa's cookies. Can Brigid and Basil get them back in time to save Christmas?A fun holiday tale exploring the popular "that's the way the cookie crumbles."
Words are magic, and Ellie Lieberman has been enamored with the magic of storytelling since before she could hold a pencil. She learned how to write so she could write her stories. Though her books vary between ages and genre, one element that is always a guarantee is the light in the dark, from the flicker of a candle to dragon fire.
I loved reading more about Basil and his adventures with Brigid! The illustrations were amazingly done and suited the story well. What a fun take on the idiom "That's the way the cooking crumbles". I finished this in under an hour and absolutely loved every page.
If you want to read children stories, definitely give Ellie's book and particularly this series a chance!
This was a cute and fun Christmas story. Watching Brigid try her best to find the cookies for Santa with Basil by her side. I love that fairies play a part this time, but that they weren't the culprit, and it was just a misunderstanding.
Loved this adorable Christmas children’s book with Brigid and her basset hound Basil. The Christmas story is heartwarming, as together, they have to solve the mystery of Santa’s missing cookies, and the illustrations are adorable. This is a lovely story for young readers and would make a lovely holiday present! Includes a cookie recipe at the end! 5/5 stars.
