I want to start this off by saying I was an ARC reader for the author so HUGE thank you to Reese. This is still my honest review:
I went into this book completely blind, not knowing if it was a fantasy, contemporary romance, nothing. I didn’t even read the synopsis (i never do hahah) but i’m so glad i went in completely blind because it was so fun to feel what Poppy felt and be confused with her and the secrets started to reveal.
Starting off with the characters- I really liked Poppy, in the beginning she was this frail, clumsy & weak person & I normally want my FMC’s to be the strongest and baddest in the game BUT i held out for her character development and i’m so glad we got to see it. while she didn’t become a completely new person, you could see how she was stronger & not just physically. while she did slightly annoy me sometimes when she was willing to give herself up to save everyone because she was “just a human” and “not important” i understood her choice but i wish she saw herself as worth more.
As for Kastor, i wish there was more of him! i loved his “idgaf” mood. this was sort of a forbidden lovers but Kastor took that as “go be with her” LMAO i loved how out of control he could get (not going to spoil how) but i LOVED his ability and how unhinged and ruthless he became in the end for Poppy.
The side characters were my FAVES, while I was iffy about them in the beginning since they weren’t so accepting of Poppy, i’m glad they came around & i loveddd their entire friend group + our bestie Willow!!
For the plot: oh. my. god?!! first, since this was a forbidden romance, i loved seeing the people who forbid them from being together, the Aras, intervene & literally do their worst, i live for drama… now the plot twist, i wouldn’t have guessed ANY of it, the betrayal???? i seriously needed to go back & read scenes with that character because i was certain the author pulled that out of thin air but when i reread the mask scene i realized it was trueee 💔💔
At times I felt like Poppy & Kastor’s relationship was moving a bit too quickly, they cared so much about each other in such little time & i feel like they didn’t interact enough HOWEVER there was a very good reason for this & i was even more shocked by this because i was CERTAIN she wasn’t her (i won’t say explain this, just read this!)
One thing that did throw me completely off was that we saw something happened to someone but then they made a reappearance and it was never explained how we got them back, however, i was so consumed with the 5 chapters of them literally fighting for their lives that i didn’t question it until I started writing this review HAHAH
Overall, this was an amazing read. I loved the authors writing style & after just this one book, I’ll officially read ANYTHING she writes, I’m excited for book two. If you like soulmates, forbidden love, fantasy world meets human world, this is for you & if you don’t like those thing I still think you’d like this book because it was that good 🩵

I’m going to just start by saying I am not into Fantasy books. As a matter of fact, I specifically avoid fantasy books and move on to my typical genre preferences. With that said, holy moly am I glad I gave this a shot!
I love a book that keeps your attention throughout. Glamour has a whole lot of “umph” and then some. I truly enjoyed the story line, the friendships, the love, the plot twists.. just everything about it. There was even a little gore peppered in there.. but nothing that I couldn’t stomach. I also loved that I never figured out what I’d think i were going to. As soon as you think you’ve predicted what’s next, you’re proven wrong.
I’m very pleasantly surprised. Even if I had anticipated enjoying the book, I had no clue what I was in for. If you plan on passing by the book because you’re unsure, just try it. STOP SCROLLING PAST THIS BOOK AND READ IT.
What a story to introduce the world to your writing with! Kudos to the author, Reese. It was absolutely perfect.

Glamour definitely took me on a rollercoaster of emotions.
A college setting with ✨️lore✨️ that becomes more and more interesting as the stroy progresses. We get Poppy's pov and get to discover right alongside her that nothing is as it seems.
I really enjoyed the development Poppy went through, and I'm excited to see where the next book will go.
The star-crossed romance, of course, had me all warm and giddy. If you're looking to add a new character to the shadow daddy jar, Kastor will make a great addition.
Glamour was definitely a strong start to the series, and I look forward to seeing how the group will grow together in the next books.

Absolutely hooked! I went into this book blind with no storyline or expectations and wow! It is a slow and very low burn kind of book, with hints of darkness but it will still take hold of you. Kastor is a true Alpha and will do anything for his love, including sacrificing himself. The patience, the protection. He is everything. I am diving into book2 as I cannot get enough. Well, done Reese! You have a fan for life!

I don’t know how to explain it, but sometimes you just need a sweet, adventurous and soulmate like love.
I devoured it in one day and I’m kinda sad that it ended.
I mean the plot is nothing special but I really like the writing style of it.
Thank you for this book, I’ll go and read the second one right away! I’m looking forward to the last book <3

The ARC was thrilling. The emotional rollercoaster I went through.......such a magical one. The twist was such an unexpected one!! I never expected it. Not even in wildest twists. I enjoyed this. Really.

Fun easy read—lots of twists and turns
This is such a fun read— if you’re a Twilight fan, this one will be a fun read! I really loved reading about Poppy and Kastor! This was one of those books that I couldn’t wait to keep reading-finished it in two days!

I was glued to this story and I could not put it down. A forbidden love with a twist. The interactions between the two main characters were to die for. I highly recommend every fantasy reader reads this book !

Loved loved loved it!
As this was written by my niece and I am definitely a proud Auntie. I know her love for the Twilight Saga, as it seemed similar but yet her own differences. I absolutely loved it and can't wait for her to write the others. Love u my sweet girl.

Am amazing fantasy book with dark and unexpected twist. I loved this story, once I picked it up I couldn’t put it down. Can’t wait for part two!!! 10/10 would recommend.

This book was my first experience with Arc reading and between classes and homework I genuinely looked forward to the bit of time I got to read this book. From Poppy and Kastor to the flashbacks of Cora and Juniper there is so much to get from this book and plenty of twist and turns !!!!!
