Every day that passes takes her farther away from everything she loves, and sinks her deeper into the dark web Flores has woven around her and her pack.
Michael has given up hope of ever seeing his omega again, and he's afraid to let himself hope that his brother might still be alive. All he can do for Desie now is fight to keep her safe, no matter the distance between them.
Seth is no stranger to hopelessness. He is well-versed in misery, and misery is what he's drowning in as he races against time to save the three people who can save him from himself.
I never know what to tell people about myself. I live at home with my handsome bearded half, my brats, and my zoo.
The characters in my stories are very vocal and demanding. They have no problem keeping me up at night until their lives are properly displayed on paper.
I write about everything from alphas to vampires to hockey players, and everything in between. Welcome to chaos!
Ooo man, this was soo good. I want part 3 like right now 🤣🤣🤣
I love how Seth's story unfolds, and that we get to know more about Desi, who I didn't expect to be so vicious for her men. Ben and Michael are always fun to read, but they didn't do much in this book. I love their growing bond and how dedicated they are to one another I just wish we had more time with them together doing mondaine stuff. !!! tiny SPOILER here!!! I can't wait to see if something more will happen between Ben and Seth 😉.
I love having the characters from the other series popping here and having a lot of involvement in the plot. I don't know how it feels for readers reading this series first 🤔, you get a lot of exposition of some stuff happening in the other books, but you don't feel the characters that much, if it makes any sense, they are not developed enough for this book, but at the same time they felt so real, like they were the same as in their book, maybe because they weren't rewritten for this series they keep their authenticity more, 🤣 I don't know what I am blabling at this point. It was fun "seeing" them again, that's all I am trying to say 🤣🤣🤣.
In this series you have less conflict in the romance (which I love ) and more threats from the outside We continue the overarching plot with the rouges from the Beta series and I am curious if there will be another series to finish that or it will end in the next book.
I enjoyed this book immensely and was happy to be back in this world. I honestly love these series and I can't wait to read more.
!!! tiny SPOILER here!!! Is Lopez gonna be part of the pack later on or he's having another series happening in the North Territories?
This book will leave you wanting more with it's rollercoaster of emotions. Seth, the beloved enemy goes to the west coast to investigate for the East Coast council. There are too many reports of omegas going missing and he needs to figure out what’s going on. Seth attends a meet and greet for omegas and meets Desiree, Ben and Michael and saves Desiree from Flores’s and Lopez’s attentions. He thinks he may have found his pack. This is where we left Seth in the previous book “Alpha Part One”. The dirty Flores pack wants Desiree as their own. Michael and Ben tend to Desiree during her heat, but they need a guard to prevent any kidnapping attempts. They ask Seth. Ben and Michael must leave Desiree for their job. Again, they ask Seth to watch over her. The war between Seth’s group and the Flores pack is just starting. This is an action adventure with lots happening. I recommend this book to all omegaverse lovers. The only bad thing about the book is that it ends in a cliffhanger!! I breathlessly await the next book.
Avanne Michaels is one of four authors that I'm just obsessed with and she doesn't disappoint with Alpha part two! However, be warned that you will want to toss your book/kindle/phone/device across the room! While I can't say much without giving anything away, I DO want to say how much I loved this book! It's impossible to put down as you move through the roller coaster of emotions, cheering for the gory bits, and smiling at the softer bits. I love how the characters work with each other, healing through truth and acceptance and I just love the strong female leads that are so prominent in Avanne's work. Strength comes in a variety of way and I just love how that continues to show through this series. I want to say more, but can't without spoiling anything. Seriously, if you haven't read Avanne, YOU NEED TO.
Seth's Redemption continues in the Alpha part two.
I really enjoyed part two a bit more than part one, because we not only had characters from The Beta series heavily throughout the plot, but you also get to see Seth interact with Talia's little ones and what a push over Uncle Seth is. We also get more Insite into his dark past and hear Talia speak on it from her end, she also finds out things that Seth did to keep her as safe as he could in the position that he was placed in. damn if it didn't pull at my heart strings.
Lopez better stay in his lane though, and not try to join Seth, Michael, Ben and Desie's pack!!!
this also ends in a cliff hanger that had me stressed TF out lol. book three cannot happen soon enough.
The Alpha: Part Two by Avanne Michaels picks up right where book one left off. Desi is doing what she needs to to survive. The twins are doing what they need to to survive. Sean is gathering the troops so he can find them and save them. Desi is such a strong, independent omega that she pretty much saves herself. I love that! I loved seeing Sean get himself together to be the Alpha his pack needs. I loved seeing Talia and the gang again. But man oh man. There is a cliff hanger at the end! I need book three right now!
I was obsessed with The Beta Series but now The Alpha Series has been completely feral for more!
This kicks off right of after the cliffy in part 1 with Desi struggling to keep her head above water as a captive of a despicable man who has a penchant for keeping her in line by threatening those that she loves. This is definitely a redemption story for Seth and he has more then proven that he can be an alpha of worth as he tracks down Desi and her two other alphas. I am dying for part 3 as this series has me seriously hooked!
I'm sooo mad you did us like that with that cliffhanger!! Girl, my anxiety can't take stunts like this! Spoiler:
I really hope she's with those other kids. Overall, it was a food book but I miss getting perspectives from the Johnson pack. It's hard to let them go. They are all living rent free in my head at the moment. Not to rush you or anything but we need part 3. Lol
The beginning of this book had me all up in my feelings. Seth finally found his Omega and pack for them to be taken from him. I love watching Seth Alpha up and call Talia and her pack for help. Seth is such a broken soul who doesn't feel he deserves an Omega. I loved watching him open up and accept Des and her twins as his pack. That Clif though dang. So good.
After the first book Seth was well on his way to redemption for me, but in this book he solidified it. The way he bared his trauma and past, a long with Talia, to his pack was very courageous. I really liked the way they came together as a pack too. Michael, Ben, and Seth really share a bond and Desie is the icing on top. Can't wait for the next one!
Absolutely LOVE this. I finally finished. Had a lot going on since getting this in July. Seth has become one of my faves since The Beta. He and Desie are just AMAZEBALLS. Ben and Michael as well. Talia and her pack are stronger than ever and such a support system for Seth. Each book definitely shows it. They are given a heavy hit at the end of this book. Cannot WAIT for part 3.
Really enjoying watching Seth’s journey with this pack. I love how this story has both the perfect amount of spice and plot. The characters are all so loveable and I’m rooting for them to get their HEA.
I zipped through this book, it was gripping!!! Couldn’t put it down until I finish it and OH. MY. GOD! The cliffhanger is criminal! I say we detain Avanne Michaels in a little bubble with coffee and snacks so she can write to her heart’s content 🫠
Ahhh these cliffhangers are ROUGH! This was such a fast read I literally could not put this book down. I will be starting the 3rd book now. I can’t wait any longer. These books are so so good!
First off it’s about time Seth got his due!!!! I love love love all of this series and I am not happy at all about this Cliff that you threw me off of !!! But damn I would expect nothing less, now get to work writing I can’t take the suspense 🫢
So I thought the Alpha was a duet.. buuuuttttt the way part 2 ended… I’m now a nervous wreck! About to go find out when the next book will be released!
Part two was plot-heavy and required prior knowledge of key players from The Beta series. While you could read The Alpha Parts One and Two separate from The Beta, you will not appreciate Seth’s redemption nor understand who a great number of characters are.
Part two has minimal spice, especially for an OV.
This book ends on a significant cliffhanger.
Genre: Contemporary Omegaverse Tropes/Features: Redemption arc, second chance, twins, hurt/comfort Narrator: Multiple 1st Person POV Relationship Type: Why Choose MFMM, slow burn, low spice Book Type/Ending: Book two The Alpha, cliffhanger TW/CW: Brief listing available in book, complete list available online.
When one is blessed to know an author well enough that one can text that author regarding the absolute RUDENESS of a cliffhanger, one does so without qualms.
Yeah, I said it. Avanne continues to deliver absolute genius in The Alpha series. We continue to see the characters from The Beta series, along with the world she built in that series as well, which I love. I really enjoy that even though The Alpha is a different series, it's so interconnected with The Beta, it feels as if it's all the same.
Spoilers -- I really wanted to dislike Seth after The Beta series. But I have absolutely fallen in love with him!!
It was great to see Seth put his big boy pants on and do what he had to do to solidify and reunite his pack. He's had quite the redemption ARC. It killed me to see what Desi, Ben and Michael went through at the hands of their captors. Seeing our band of misfits from the Beta series was great. Having them have Seth's back was even better! The way I cackled when Lopez was referred to as Seth's Seth! Now the question is, will Lopez somehow join the pack as a late edition à la Beta?!?! That cliffy though (however I totally saw it coming) makes me anxious for the next one
At the end of part 1 we saw Seth leaving for the east coast. But he turns around and goes back because he knows that Michael, Ben and Desie are his pack. He finds out that they all are in trouble, so he calls his friends to come and help him rescue all of them. All of Talia’s pack comes to the west coast to help, even with Talia being very far along in her pregnancy. They manage to rescue everyone. They capture and torture the leader who kidnapped them. This is how they realize how Seth lost his finger and his eye. He refused to give up information on Jasper. This book makes you love Seth even more than book 1 did. I never thought that Talia’s pack would totally forgive him but when they found out how he protected her and Jasper, they actually do. Seth is finally able to be a pack leader like he should have been all along. Avanne Michael’s has wrote us a story that you can’t put down until you’re down. And you can’t wait for book 3. I actually sent her a message asking for part 3 as soon as I finished part 2. Her books get better with each one. Hurry Avanne, I’m dying for book 3! Seriously this book is fantastic!
