I loved this book.
Vicenta is a great change in the mafia world. She has tonnes of attitude and her own personality, and a huge heart. She is not just a carbon copy of another mafia FMC.
Romero and Alvaro 🥵. They are both so protective and make you feel so many emotions.
I cannot wait for the next book already and highly recommend reading this book. It will be released on 4th December 2023.

CARTEL LATINX ROMANCE!
This was such a fast paced book! I could not put it down! The short chapters with mini cliff hangers made me want to keep reading! Loved that all the characters were Latinx! And that it’s set it 🇲🇽 🙌🏼 it’s MMF with rival cartel families! The plot twist just kept coming throughout the book wow! The 🌶️🌶️🌶️ was soooo goodddd 😮💨 there were a few Spanish errors that the author was super nice and receptive to! That will be fixed and I’m happy for that! Can’t wait to see where book 2 takes us!

Well, I'll start by saying that this book is not at all what I imagined. It's better! Vicenta at first seems like a typical rich, spoiled, and rebellious girl who, on one hand, does what her parents demand of her but hides a double life.
Her father's bad decisions lead her to travel to Acapulco, Mexico, and there, in the middle of a cartel war, she finds love in a very peculiar way.
I'm going to be completely honest, I can 100% see "Mi Deseo: An Acapulco Affair" as an action-romance movie.
The story makes a lot of sense, and each character complements each other perfectly, and well, all that spice was on point 🔥. It took me a day to read it, and it had me on the edge of my seat all the time, enjoying each chapter, where i couldn't stop reading. Thanks to author V. Um, ok. I have only read one other book by V Domino, and I can't deny that she is an incredibly gifted author. She left me in complete awe of this book! There's so much going on, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I couldn't flip the pages fast enough.
And the characters! Don't get me started on them. I absolutely loved doing Vincenta. She was my favorite! She is such a fierce, badass character with a strong attitude.
Then we have Alvaro and Romero 🥵 These men make me weak in the knees, I swear.
A huge thanks to Colby Bettley and V. Domino for the ARC! All opinions are my own.
And the characters! Don't get me started on them. I absolutely loved doing Vincenta. She was my favorite! She is such a fierce, badass character with a strong attitude.

i‘m 13% in the book and they’re already fucking?
And 27% in the book she tells him that she‘s his ..
.. okay girl.
„Tell me you’re mine, Vicenta.” His voice is rough and desperate.
“Yes, Alvaro, I’m yours.”
hear me out i‘m not slow burn girly but this is too fast for me, they don’t even know each other really i mean come on. there is nothing between them, it makes it really akward to read.
i don’t know if i‘m the only one but i hate it when the fmc gives the mmc a blowjob and the word „popsicle“ drops..
„Now close your lips and suck like it’s your new favorite popsicle, baby.”
even when the book „only“ had 445 pages it felt like i take forever to finish this.
i did not like the two mmc’s i’m sorry but i had to say this. the fmc was alright just some scenes were i was a little annoyed but otherwise not bad.
also this is was a rh romance but i did not feel like one. more like a romance novel with love triangle and very very few mfm sex scenes..

For every reader, there is an author that made them fall in love with books all over again. For me, that author is V. Domino. Not only did her books make me fall in love with reading during an awful book slump, but her stories helped heal parts of me that I had long since buried.
Mi Deseo is the newest book from V. and this book latched onto my soul more than any other. Every page was like magic, tearing my heart apart only to piece it back up again when I turned the page. V has a wonderful way of writing raw, gritty characters that you can't help but to connect with. Even when they're doing bad things, you can't help but sympathise with their plights.
Vicenta has to be one of my favourite FMCs ever written. She's a complete badass, with a hell of an attitude and an even bigger heart. She loves fiercely, hates with every part of her being, and makes her passions known to the world. While she has 'dark desires', Vicenta is a breath of fresh air in the mafia/cartel romance genre. There was the opportunity to make her just another spoiled, rich kid FMC but V gave her character so much depth and personality.
Now, Alvaro and Romero? Sheesh, I don't even know where to start on how much I love those guys. Alvaro is the soft, sweet, cinnamon roll man with a heart of gold. He has so many emotions that he has to bury, hiding it deep in order to be the cartel prince he's expected to be. And Romero is the stoic, collected cartel Don who actually has so much love to offer, but has had so much hurt that he feels like he can't offer his heart to anyone else. Both of them are so special, so loyal and loving, and the way they love Vicenta is enough to make anyone swoon.
It's really hard to write this review without spoilers because I want to scream about this book to the world. I've read it four times already, and I can't wait to have a physical copy in my hands to read it again. When I say that V. Domino is one of the best, most talented voices of this century, I mean it with every fibre of my being. She weaves words like strands of fate, creating remarkable words like they were destined to exist for us readers. If this book were to become a movie (and it should), I would find myself watching it over and over until every word was memorised. It is everything beautiful and I only wish that I had the words to convince everyone I know to read it.
"I'm burning as though my heart has become an open flame..." Mi Deseo has set my heart ablaze and I want it to burn bright forever.

I was super excited when I got Mi Deseo and it did not disappoint. I had such a hard time putting it down, but at the same time I did not want it to end. I loved all the characters, their personalities shining through in every page. The chemistry between all three main characters was amazing from the very beginning. Their emotions were palpable and you can’t help but root for them. The story was full of action, suspense, past trauma, deception, and romance. The heat brought to the page was also exquisite. I just wanted more, and more. Needless to say, I can’t wait for book 2.
Vicenta’s life changes in an instant when she finds herself kidnapped and basically sold by her father to marry the Don of a Mexican cartel. But when she finds lust and passion in her kidnapper Alvaro, the son of the cartel’s Don, things get way more complicated. The moment Alvaro sets his eyes on Vicenta, he knew she was his, and he had to have her. When Vicenta escapes and ends up in the arms of Alvaro’s enemy, Romero, more sparks fly causing turmoil in Vicenta’s heart. Romero and Alvaro have a long history, and when they both fall for the same girl, they will need to figure out if they can get past their anger towards each other, or simply let her go.

Oh boyyyy… I don’t know where to start aside from this book was fucking wild. If you don’t like cliffhangers this book does end on one.
I almost threw my kindle over it. I hate cliffhangers. It’s a why choose cartel dark romance please do check the trigger warnings before reading.
There was so much happening in this book that I had almost having a hard time keeping up with it. The amount of heartbreak the FMC went through had me crying at work. Thankfully no one was around.
I think I need that sticker that’s says this my emotional support kindle. Or better yet I need my emotional support snacks while reading.
The spice is really good. The MMCs act like total dicks not only towards each other but also kept secrets from FMC as well. My left eye was twitching the whole fucking time.
The huge plot twist of family secrets that came out I didn’t see coming. But fuckkk like holy shit.

The spice is really good. The MMCs act like total dicks not only towards each other but also kept secrets from FMC as well. My left eye was twitching the whole fucking time.
The huge plot twist of family secrets that came out I didn’t see coming. But fuckkk like holy shit.

V does it again
Honestly I don’t think they’ll ever be a time where I’m tired or bored when reading a v book because she always hits the mark when it comes to a engaging plot and mi deseo was no different I loved how she took this trope/setting that’s been done but truly made it her own in every sense I adored the build up and suspension in the plot and never truly knowing what was coming next .
I also think my new favorite thing is when you have a reverse harem but the guys haven’t even considered that being option and oh my god v did that so well I absolutely lived for the tension between Romero and Alvaro and (even there hidden past 😫) but the fact that they were so willing to share because it’s what Vicenta wanted.when I tell you adore these two it’s no joke,for being cartel bosses there were surprisingly sweet and the sheer fact that these two guys were enemies but comprised for her.
“If he makes her happy, I will bow and beg for a share. I am greedy by nature, selfish by design, but Vicenta, fuck… she overpowers all of my natural instincts. If sharing her with my enemy means I get a place in her life, then so fucking be it.”
V also has this sort of gift for writing characters that are so easy to connect with and see yourself in which is why I love so many of her characters especially.I loved this book and can not wait for more of this world and too see what v has in store.

This was 4.5 stars for me!
I really loved the character development and the angst that pulls from each character. The trio was delicious and their bond is something I really loved seeing grow.
The world of Mi Deseo is dark and entertaining and I truly found myself wanting a motorcycle so I could join this gang. The drama and plot twists were well placed and I think the balance of angst and story were perfect.
Highly recommend to my spice readers out there !

This book… has brought me on a full on rollercoaster ride of emotions… I have laughed, yelled, rolled my eyes, have hated on, had my heart and soul shattered, fallen for and been obsessed with every part of this book and these characters and the journey it takes you on.. And yes there be some spicy scenes along the way… I devoured this book!! It’s awesome!!! Vicenta, Vicente, Alvaro, Romero… And others pull you in and don’t let go… So I will be stalking and harassing V from now until… well prob forever if I’m being honest (don’t worry she’s aware!!🤪) I can not wait to read more of this story and world that has a chokehold on me… in the best ways possible!!!

What a whirlwind. My brain is still reeling from all the things I learned and experienced while reading Mi Deseo. This is no easy ride into Mexico - you’ll feel the warm beach breezes of Acapulco and the warm splatter of blood in the same scene. You’ll hear the sounds of traffic and bullets flying, the screams of despair and sadness. In short, you’ll feel like you’re watching the next great action movie or the top telenovela of the season.
V Domino never skimps on story of character journeys, and each of our MCs is pushed through the gauntlet and beyond the limit of what normal folk can handle. There’s no regret and no pity. The ending had me really shook, so I’m very happy to see this is only part 1.

Beautifully written, the emotions just flow from the page. Vicenta is a strong fmc who is torn between two men and her family. There are so many secrets in this story, from the past history shared by Mero and Varo and from Viventa's family and her brother. The ending was so sad, sacrifices made and hearts hardened.
I need to know what happens next and what happens with Vicente ( V's brother) and Kat. And Dario, a character who appeared towards the end of the book but absolutely shone.

One word to describe this book....DELICIOUS 😜 I freaking LOVE a good Mafia Romance and this is the first one to have a second language that I actually know and I appreciate that so much! I fell in love with this one! I went in completely blind to the happenings in this book ... so when I started getting those why choose vibes, I was surprised, and not even mad about it!
Who could not fall in love with Alvaro and Romero?!

INCREDIBLE!!! I am blown away by how absolutely incredible this story was. I devoured every dark, depraved, violent and deliciously spicy moment of it and never wanted to let these characters go in the end. And that ending - DAMN - I was not ready for my heart to be torn apart like that!
Vicenta is an utterly fierce, badass young woman. She lives a double life, one as the dutiful daughter, the other as an underground motorcycle racer. I have never wanted to be a character in a story more than I wanted to be Vicenta! She has such an incredibly big heart and loves so fiercely!!! When her father does the unthinkable, Vicenta is put in a horrible and dangerous position that could end her life at any given moment. But what Vicenta does not realize is that two incredible and fierce men are going to turn her world completely upside down!

DAMN! Alvaro and Romero are just WOW!!! Both of these dark and broody cartel men will fight for their families and protect them with everything they’ve got, and they both love so fiercely and with so much passion, which may be their downfall. From the opening scene, the myriad of emotions the author puts readers through is nothing short of being on a roller coaster with a steep, speeding decline just waiting to take your next breath and as the chapters progress, it is like sucking wind. Vicenta the eldest daughter and her brother Vicente bait the hook and when Alvaro and Romero enter the picture down you go hook, line and sinker. It is a decadent mafia romance with some new twists that you will not see coming and has the added benefit of introducing a foreign language for your learning pleasure. The writing style flows naturally and has a vibrancy of its own that will have any reader invested in this storyline. Case in point, “Me and death have a love affair. Death is the only thing I trust and when I meet him for the final time, I won’t be alone.” Want more, then check out page 347 where Vicenta lays into Romero with her feelings – OMG!!! If you are looking for an incredible action packed, mafia, lovers to enemies book then look no further! Mi Deseo is full of amazing characters, plot twists, and off the charts chemistry! The MFC is Vicenta. She is a young woman living two lives. One life consists of her being the perfect daughter and doing what is expected of her. In contrast, she is an adrenaline junkie who races motorcycles and dreams of going pro. But neither life prepares her for what is to come when her father gives her to the Banderas Cartel to prevent them from unaliving the whole family. Vicenta is a fierce young woman who takes the mafia world by storm and manages to capture the heart of not one mafia man but two. The MMC's, Alvaro and Romero are the perfect morally grey book boyfriends. They are ruthless, dominant, and will do anything to protect their girl. Did I mention that they are from opposing mafia families? Who will Vicenta choose? This is the first book in the series, so the book does end on a cliffhanger. I can't wait until the next book comes out and hopefully Vincenta's (and my) heart can be healed!

If you like dark mafia romance with twist and turns, this is the book for you. This is the first time reading this author and it will not be my last. I loved the FMC, Vincenta. Though young, she is tough, fierce and loyal. She has no problem speaking her mind. She loves hard and hurts deeply when she discovers the lies she has been told. Alvaro and Romero are the MMCs. I am not sure where I stand on them; however, they are members of different cartels and have an unexpected history. They are the epitome of morally grey but they love Vincenta. These three characters heat up the pages.
What I enjoyed about this book is that the author keeps you guessing. Each chapter brings you something new and keeps you invested in the story. Is this a love triangle? Is it a why chose romance? Who is really the bad guy? I love all of these questions. Be aware, this does end on a cliffhanger. I cannot wait to read the next installment to see what happens.

In looooove. This is the second book I'm reading in my attempt to start liking mafia romance and mmmmmh 🫦❤️🔥❤️🔥 it DELIVERED. I don't even have the words to express how relieved I am that Mi Deseo didn't fall in any cringy stereotypical mafia romance cliché, but instead, elevated the aspects of the genre that we love. I mean, I already had faith in V.Domino since it's not my first time reading one of her books, but this one right here is honestly my favourite (for now 😜). The storytelling aspect is EVERYTHING, plot twists left and right, constant movement & development, and it still didn't feel like predictable building blocks. The story progressed fluidly and MADE SENSE ! From my experience with the genre, i can say that doesn't happen often. And the spice ! Oof- 🥵🥵 Can we talk about character dynamics?? Like how come I'm interested in every single one of them 😭😭😭???

First off V. Domino is magical. Her writing is so raw and real it reaches into the depths of your soul and connects you in some way to every single character.
Vicenta is such a badass FMC...from beginning to end. Her loyalty and fierce nature is a force to be reckoned with and I loved her so so much. And the men...let's talk about the men. Alvaro and Romero - swoon. Completely fell for the both of them and their differences, from the very beginning. The way V. The moment I picked it up, I couldn't put it down. I was a fast paced read, loved the Latin cartel romance with all the twist and turns which almost gave me a whiplashed, the emotions and the spicy scenes to say the least!! The playlist -- was great I only wish it had a couple Rauw Alejandro songs. I can't wait until the next book!!
