A Chilling Read

What an engaging story where past and present events set the groundwork for a page-turning, psychological thriller with well-defined characters, great dialogue, and descriptive locales. Protagonist Victor Larsen, while investigating the kidnapping of babies occurring in different cities, is attracted to Anne Midlands, a nurse with a mysterious past. The plot-driven narrative slowly develops into a cat and mouse game, exposing some secrets and lies, shocking revelations, deceit and betrayal that will leave you guessing to the very end, reminding us an individual with a fake veneer can deceive vulnerable individuals.

A THOROUGHLY ENJOYABLE READ FOR FANS OF THE MYSTERY/THRILLER GENRE. TOTALLY UNEXPECTED TWISTS AND TURNS. A REPORTER CHASES SEVERAL CASES OF PREVIOUSLY UNCONNECTED INFANT KIDNAPPINGS OCCURRING YEARS APART AND THOUSANDS OF MILES AWAY FROM ONE ANOTHER. HE WORKS TO TIE THE CASES TOGETHER AND FIND THE CULPRIT. THIS IS A FINE PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER THAT'S A REAL PAGE TURNER. THE CONCLUSION OF THE BOOK KNOCKED MY SOCKS OFF. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
