Ruined & Relinquished #2

Lyrics of Love Unheard

Rate this book
The Drummer
Dash loves being behind his drums. Playing with his brother and best friends is a dream come true. He thinks he has it all, then two men enter his life and change everything.

The Dancer
As one of the top dancers at Untouchable, Romeo knows how to grind his hips to have the members handing over big tips. He keeps his personal life separate, preferring no one looks too deep to see who he really is.

The Hopeless Romantic
Tristan’s track record is terrible when it comes to relationships. With his mind set on not falling in love so fast again, what does he do? He catches feelings for a gorgeous rock star and a sinful dancer, of course.

Their relationship doesn’t come without risks. There are buried secrets, past trauma, and the aftermath of dealing with it all. Dash, Romeo, and Tristan have to prove their love can withstand anything.

Lyrics of Love Unheard is an MMM steamy contemporary romance and book two in the Ruined & Relinquished series. It features a drummer who loves life, a dancer with a difficult past, and a man finally finding the ones who treat him how he deserves. There is found family, an age gap, hurt/comfort, a golden retriever rock star, and a HEA. Each book in the series can be read as a standalone but is better enjoyed when read in order.

i've only read Ruined & Relinquished, and so far it's been an okay series. on one side, this book has a decent plot; complex and interesting characters - Romeo most of all, because his past is quite tremulous and Jordan, the nice mafia boss; and the three MC's have great communication in their relationship.

but on the other hand, the pacing dragged a little, and so i got bored a couple of times in the middle bits. plus literally everyone is male and in a throuple - i can count on one hand the people who are female or single (three) - and there are so many characters it was kind of hard to keep track of who is who and who is related/connected to who.

generally alright, but i wouldn't be very motivated to read the next book or the Three Ties series.

Another lovely mmm story from this author, where the band Ruined & Relinquished has a central role.

It’s about family, blood-related and not, supportive friends, protective relatives, and a whole lot of love.
There are some heavier elements, such as violence and regular panic attacks, there are more trigger warnings, so please don't ignore them.

“There wasn’t room for people who didn’t support me.“ wise words from a sweet guy who was hurt a few times too much.

The story is about Dash, the drummer of the famous band Ruined & Relinquished, Romeo a beautiful dancer, and Tristan, whom we slightly met in the previous story. There are a bunch of other personages and the connections between all these characters were quite genius put together.
I visualize the author’s wall with all the sticky notes and how everyone is connected!
The reality is probably a file in the cloud, but still, it’s quite genius.

A big role is given to Jordan Altair Sr. Mafia boss of East Dremest, I just loved him.
To understand how he is related, you have to read this yourself. I won’t spoil but I’d say his role is sublime.

The story is nicely written, and very entertaining, it has an exciting plot, there’s some action to find, it’s also super romantic, and extremely sweet, and there are some spicy scenes to enjoy.
Overall a great read.

Romeo + Dash + Tris = love ❤️ and fire 🔥

4.5 Stars ⭐️

Was this insta love? YUP
Was this sexy as hell? YUP
Was it a sweet hurt/comfort read? YUP
Was this book everything? ALSO YUP!!

Loved it!! I love this whole series and the adjacent series Three Ties, but these three together hit different! The amount of care and understand these men show one another was just unbelievable and so freaking sweet, It had all the feels and then some & When these three got together in the bedroom, holy hell 🔥, all the sweetness disappeared and a delicious smut fest happened! The story line was great, putting a little danger in the mix and visits from previous characters made this book so much better. I would most definitely recommend!!

A Note to Michelle Dare: All I want for Christmas, my Birthday and the other holidays is a story with Jordan Sr falling ass over elbow in love and getting his tightly wound world rocked!!! Please and Thank you 😉

* I received an ARC from GRR, this is my open and honest review *

I enjoyed stepping into this world that Michelle has created. This story is sweet and full of romance. All three of the characters were well written and really likeable. I especially loved Dash who had no qualms in speaking his mind even if he was standing up to the big mafia boss.

The only thing I struggled with was keeping up with all the characters mentioned. I think it would have been easier had I read this series in order. But once I knew who was who, I was all good.

The plot of this story is very interesting and moves at a good pace. This is definitely a read for fans of insta love because it doesn't take long for these three to fall in love. I loved how much they doted on each other.

While this was an enjoyable story and I liked the premise - as I do with all of Michelle Dare’s MMM books - it didn’t quite hit the mark for me. There was plenty to enjoy, including Dash’s limitless supply of joy, and Romeo’s mother’s hilarious feud with Jordan Altair Sr. But unfortunately, Dash, Tristan and Romeo didn’t quite live up to their predecessors, Casper, Reed and Elic. The relationship was a little rushed, while the story was a little slow, so the paces of each didn’t mesh well and I couldn’t connect with the characters as much as I’d like.

In book 1, Casper and Reed already had a history, so when they brought Elic into their dynamic, things went slower and it felt more natural. In comparison, Dash, Romeo and Tristan went from zero to sixty in a matter of pages. Dash met Romeo once, followed by Romeo and Tristan, and suddenly they’re considering a future as a trio. Dash had a little more experience with Tristan, so at least they built things a bit more naturally. But as a trio, it was a bit too hardcore instalove for me - not even instalust, I’m talking falling hard after a quick hello.

On the plus side, the spicy scenes were hot. There was lots of play between them as duos and a trio, not to mention a cheeky bit of DP - albeit in a position I hadn’t seen before and couldn’t quite imagine, but was hot nonetheless.

I also really enjoyed the dynamic between Romeo and his pseudo father, Jordan. After making many mistakes with his own son, JJ, it was nice to see him try and make more of an effort with Romeo - whether it’s getting him a dog, or protecting him from the slightest gust of wind. Romeo really had things rough, bless him. He’d been through a lot and was a seriously complex character. He struggled with intense anxiety and panic attacks, and I thought it was really nice how Dash and Tristan took care of him.

I’m certainly still intrigued by Slater’s story. However, I must say, with all these throuples, it’s getting hard to keep up with who is who and which relationship is which. I might need to start a crime board to keep up with all these connections - there’s some great characters that have been brought across from Michelle’s Three Ties series and such, but be prepared to have your brain switched on so you can remember who is linked to who!

I am a big fan of the Ruined and Relinquished series from Michelle about the members of the band. This is Dash, the drummer’s, story. The two books so far from this series, and the companion Three Ties book series with most of the other supporting characters, are all about men in threesome polyamorous relationships. Lyrics of Love Unheard finds Dash and the band playing at the club Untouchables (goes back to 3 Ties series) when he sees the dancer Romeo and is immediately drawn to him. When Romeo has a panic attack, Dash is there and knows how to help him. From that point, these two can’t get the other out of their minds. But Dash also meets Tristan while helping him move, and he is drawn to Tristan also. Not being much of a relationship guy (neither is Romeo due to trust issues), Dash tries to reconcile what he is feeling for these two men, and Romeo and Tristan are dealing with it also. Still waters run deep in all three men, there are past traumas for both Romeo and Tristan, as well as family complications and so many threads from previous books from the two series that it gets pretty complicated in several ways, but the main focus is these three trying to form a lasting relationship amid all the outside issues that exist. The characters are complicated and compelling, drawing the reader in and getting involved right away. Dash is so caring and nurturing for both of his men, seeming to intuitively know what each of his partners needs to have their needs met, Romeo is slow to trust but learns to lean on both, and Tristan is one to embrace his partners wholeheartedly while still not sure he is worthy of them. The story is fast paced and I found I could not put it down, fully involved in their world. The base is also there for the third book in this trilogy about Slayter, Dash’s brother and guitarist in the band, and two other characters playing a small part in this book. I can hardly wait for that book to complete this series.
Characters from both series are memorable, and having those from 3 Ties involved brings those books back to mind. Once the last book is done, I want to go back and reread all 6 in order, to weave that whole world together and refresh my memory on the nuances found in each one, all to create these 18 unforgettable men.
I received a copy of this book and this is my voluntary review.

Absolutely brilliant.

In this book, the second of the ruined and relinquished series called lyrics of love unheard had me hooked from the very beginning. We have got three individuals that are so different, absolutely different personalities, different goals and different histories but together as a unit they become whole.
We have Dash who is the drummer of the band and he has never looked for a relationship until he set his eyes on Romeo and Tristan. Romeo is a fantastic dancer who works in Drexen’s club called Untouchable and Tristan is someone that we met in the last book who has been hurt by every man he’s ever trusted.
They all have their own problems. They all have their own histories, but together, they all have a future because when the three of them put their heads together, nothing is unreachable. They see each other for them, they don’t try to change them they just act on their individual and work together so they can be complete.
I’ve got to say I saw a different side of Jordan in this book, and I really enjoyed the banter between Dash and Jordan and especially Romeo‘s mum. Oh, she made me laugh a few times in this book, but I’m getting off of our main characters . So there’s a lot going on in this book, you kind of wait for danger around every corner. But let me tell you about the passion that they have for one another. It is off the charts. Feeling hot hot hot!! The connection is so deep that they are unbreakable. But what came through for me throughout this book was the understanding and the love they have for one another, absolutely gutted to have finished their story, but I cannot wait for the next story because I think Slater is going to be a bit of a hard ball.

********** Contains Spoilers**********

I really enjoyed this book and thought that it was a good addition to the Ruined & Relinquished Series, which is set in the same universe as Three Ties Series and it’s best to read that series first as there’s no doubt that the characters from that series will be sprinkled throughout. This book and was more angsty than the Three Ties Series which makes sense being tortured artists and all that. I found that this book had less angst than the first book but still featured a lot of hurt/comfort scenes. I really enjoyed Dash, Romeo & Tristan’s story and thought they were good together. I loved getting to see a slightly softer side of JJ’s father Jordan and his interactions towards Romeo and to a lesser extent Tristan. A lot of it has to do with his guilt since Romeo’s father, or I should say sp*rm donor was Malik, Jordan’s right hand man.

Jordan had loved him but ended up killing in order to protect JJ. No matter the type of person Jordan is he obviously cares for JJ, Romeo and to a lesser extent those that they love, he just shows it in his own f*cked up way. Romeo’s mum Pep is hilarious. Her little death threats game with Jordan makes me smile. I think Jordan probably enjoys it as well, with them trying to one up each other. I loved getting snippets of the characters that we’ve gotten to know and fall in love with during the Three Ties Series during this book. It makes smile how JJ and Val are still fanboying over the guys from Ruined & Relinquished, even though they consider them friends. I’m looking forward to reading Slater’s book, Ballads of Lines Blurred next as well as more books from Michelle Dare in the future. I’d recommend this book, series, universe and author to others.

I absolutely loved this book! Again, I love that each of the characters have their own fears and scars, yet it only works to make their relationship stronger. I love the way that dash instantly knows how to help Romeo with his panic attacks and never judges or shies away from Romeo because of them! I love the way that each character supports the others even when they don’t entirely love every decision that they make. I also love the way that Jordan protects all three characters through everything even though we as readers and the characters themselves don’t love everything about the businesses he’s involved in. And the extended family that just readily excepts Romeo and protects him like he is instantly one of them is just everything for me. I also think that the different professions that Romeo and Tristan decide on toward the end of the book is just perfect. I love that dash finds a way to make Romeo feel like his writing is meaningful and that he’s worthy despite his fears and past trauma and that they support Tristan not fully knowing what he wants to do but giving him the option and opportunity to help with the band or go to school for something he’s passionate about. That whole chapter just really melted my heart and while I hated the drama toward the end, this book honestly couldn’t have ended any better. So yeah I guess it’s pretty obvious to see that I loved this book and the development of the characters and their relationship!! And I can’t wait to read the next book in this series!!!

Nowhere near as angsty as I'd expected

Dash is a ray of sunshine compared to the first three triads in the Three Ties series and two of his bandmates and their third in Notes of Unspoken Words. He is like an eager puppy, smiling and loving life, hookups working for him as he's never wanted more till now.
Tristan is a people-pleaser which has seen him being a bit of a doormat in his past relationships, but he hasn't had a particularly sad past.
Romeo dances in an upscale club then goes home and doesn't seem to have much of a life at all. He keeps himself to himself but there's more than meets the eye to his quiet and unassuming life.
Chance brings them all together, and there's intense attraction all round. What follows is a surprisingly easy and very quick romance, with one dangerous situation proving some jeopardy, but on the whole just very sweet all round.
It was great to see the other triads too, and I loved seeing Romeo with his employer, Dexen.
But the most surprising guest star from all the other four books, was just the best payoff so far. He was magnificent, and seeing another side of him made my day.
These books do all stand alone but you'll get more out of them if you read in order because the characters are all friends and appear in each others' books.
Slater's turn next is already looking good.

Oh my gosh...soo hot! I love Dash, Tristan and Romeo!! Such a hot book with lots of spice.

Romeo is a dancer from Untouchable and has anxiety starting from his days in high school. The only ones that can calm him down are the two men that he meets by chance. He has been hurt in the past and is afraid to trust and love again.

Tristan falls in love easily and makes him a target for betrayal. His prior relationship was with Eric's father, who manipulated Tristan to thinking that his stepson was missing. But the truth came out in the prior book and Tristan was, once again, heart broken. Until he meets Dash and Romeo. He falls for them but is afraid to get his broken again.

Dash is in the band Ruined and Relinquished with Reed, Casper and, his brother, Slater. He doesn't do relationships but when he sees Romeo dance and helps Tristan move out of his ex's house, he feels a pull towards them that he can't explain. But he knows that he wants them in his life forever.

Three men, three hearts and three loves. A love that can't be broken. If you have read the prior books, then this is a must read!!.

Uncle Dashie is back and rocking and I couldn’t be more happy! I fell in love with his character from book one of the Ruined & Relinquished series. He is the drummer of the rock band and playing music with his best friends and brother is his dream. Life is good, he has it all or at least he things he has it all…
Dash meets Tristan and from literally day one he wants to help him and protect him from all the bad things of this world. Romeo enters the equation and after a funny, great meet scene with Tristan… well, and then there were three… Honesty and transparency, that is what they are aiming for in their relationship but there are secrets and past trauma and… Jordan Sr. Oh, the plot twist here! Loved it! I say no more because I don’t want to spoil it for you.
This is another beautifully written story by Michelle Dare about love, music, dance, steamy hot moments, full of humor, found family, trauma and about the strength we have inside. Can they make it work? It could be read as a standalone but please, read the books in order because you are going to enjoy it even more. And if you haven’t yet, you could go even further back and read the Three Ties books.
Thank you Michelle for trusting me with an early copy of your story. It’s an honor!

LYRICS OF LOVE UNHEARD is the second book in the Ruined & Relinquished series, featuring Dash, Romeo, and Tristan.

Dash and Tristan, we met in Book 1, and Romeo is a new addition - although he ties in with some of the others in ways you won't expect. I loved Book 1. I really did, and I honestly believed that although this book would be good, it wouldn't be 'that' good. I was wrong!!! It's different to Book 1, as it should be, but it's oh-so-good. I adored Dash, and Romeo, and Tristan. All different and all fantastic.

My poor heart is now breaking for Slater though. I know I've met one of his potentials, but I really want him to be happy.

As always, the topics covered in this book can be triggers for some, and are definitely sensitive, but have been written in a way to help you understand, rather than dramatise.

A fantastic read that I couldn't put down. Absolutely recommended by me.

The mystery of Romeo has been unmasked and Tristan is finally free of burden he doesn't deserve. Dash is a sweetheart.

Many things worked against me liking this book, including I wasn't in the right mind frame at the time.

This addition to the world of Dremest was anxiety trauma heavy to the point it was too much. It left little room for progress in the relationship on the page. Scenes were skipped over that I would have loved the content of to experience. It was have added meat to the plot and buffer to the mental health overload. But please don't take this criticism against anxiety and mental health because I'm not. It affects individuals differently and never looks the same as well as serious as can be. How Romeo functions is an important plot but at times I felt like that's all there was to read about, even from Dash and Tristan's POV.

The sense of danger and tension was back though with this book which added a little something that was needed. And a brief look into the next book with an incident that occurred, which has me excited but also nervous because another character has issues with anxiety and I really don't want a repeat of this situation again.

ARC COPY BOOK REVIEW **

"Let us take every doubt and fear and turn it into something positive you can remember when your anxiety flares and negativity tries to weigh you down. Let us drown them out."

I went into this one thinking Uncle Dashie was gonna be different when I got into his head...especially the way he was the take charge kind of guy in Notes of Unspoken Words..but he was a freaking delight..he was funny and the squirrel moments..OMG, I lived for those..his line "I’ll take any meat I can get"..was absolutely my favorite line..😏...the way he spoke to Jordan Sr. without any f*cks given..that was truly a highlight..how he was a "fuck and flee man" but the moments he seen both Tristan and a month later Romeo..he was a goner...

Romeo, the cinnamon roll of the trio...he was the one my heart leaned towards...with his past that from high school affecting him to the present...the panic attacks..the feelings of feeling unworthy of love or anyone truly accepting him for what he brought to the table..but fate stepped in the moment he walked into that diner and Tristan spilled his coffee on him..bringing him to the two men who would give anything to protect and shield him from any hurt that came to him.

Tristan...is just freaking adorable..with his past of falling hard and fast for the worst possible men..he thought he was always destined to attract that kind of man..but life had other plans for him..and gave him a family that he lost...and love that he truly well deserved..

The one shock that I ended the book with was loving Jordan Sr.,.JJ's dad from @m_dare Three Ties series...the love and care he had for the ones he loved..be it not the normal affection you would see...but in his own way..he gave of himself..and to protect those who he loved and those that they loved..I definitely can't wait to see what she has in store for us in his book..

Thank you so much @m_dare for the honor of reading these guys story...and can't wait for Slater's turn to get his HEA.

“I think we just formed our own Dash VIP club without realizing it.”

I loved this book. Good world building and wonderful characters. I loved Dash, Romeo, and Tristan and the dynamic between the three of them. I found each of their separate backgrounds compelling- though I was most fascinated with Romeo. (And can I say I'm completely taken with Jordan Altair Sr? I'm dying for his book!) I loved the connection between Dash and Romeo, and Dash and Tristan. I also loved the way Romeo and Tristan met. That one spilled mug of coffee the perfect catalyst.

"It could be a foolish move but the thought of not being there for you, of not protecting you, doesn’t sit well with me.”

Dash was such a sweet caring person and the perfect match for the other two men who have had more baggage and demons. He also made me laugh.

'What utopian dream was I walking into?'

I was hooked to the page and couldn't put it down. 5 stars.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This is the 2nd book in the Ruined & Relinquished series. This MMM book can be read as a standalone. However, I went and read the first book in the series before starting this one and was glad I did.
Dash is the drummer in a band with his brother and best friends. After 2 of his best friends find love, it has him wanting a love like they share.
Romeo is a dancer at a private all male club. He keeps to himself on and off the stage. He has a line of secrets he keeps to himself.
Tristan is trying to get over having his heart broken by another failed relationship. He is staying with his grandmother, who does not approve of his relationship status.
They all met separately. Then discover they know each other and all have an instant connection that they want to discover together.
I really enjoyed this book but can't wait for Slater's book.

Beautiful story

Michelle always knows how to write a great story about beautifully broken guys finding healing & their HEA.

I couldn't wait to read Uncle Dashie after meeting him in book one. He's just so open & honest. Once he met his guys, he was all in. But he had his work cut of for him; both his men were very guarded in their own ways.

As always, I'm dying to read who ensares Jordan Senior. It was amazing to see a new side of him in this story. He's a very complex guy.

And poor Slater. He's the only member left without no one to cuddle him into a blanket burrito. Why Dash's love story was fairly low agnst, I feel Slater's is going to hit me in the feels hard.

Can't wait to read what happens next. This world of Dremest has been an amazing ride, filled with so many wonderful stories, I never want to leave.

Dash is a drummer who know what he wants, and he knows who he wants! And he wants two someone's! We already kind of knew he had a strong pull towards Tristan from book one. Tristan is just such a romantic softie who seems to never pick the right men and is a bit nervous about his attraction to Dash since he is in a famous band. Now Romeo comes off as self-confident, but we learn he really needs more support and care. These three are very different in their lifestyles, their past and their present but they each bring such varied feels into this relationship. You just know that it has to be all three of them to be a complete relationship. Wonderful balance of getting to know each of them and just the right amount of sweet and hot spice for these guys.

I loved Dash, Romeo, and Tristan. While I get that so many throuples may not exist in such close proximity in reality, I’m giving the author creative license to run with it.

These guys are all so sweet, and they just flowed so well together. I loved their story. I loved Dash finally getting in touch with his feelings, and wanting to commit for more than a single night with someone. I loved Romeo opening up, and allowing himself to accept help. For recognizing he was actually worth the time and effort. I loved that Tristan saw worth in himself, and in these two men. Yes, he made poor decisions in the past, but he was able to see that Romeo and Dash were different.

I’m excited for book three, and Slay getting a chance at moving on from Reed!!

I loved Lyrics of Love Unheard: An MMM Rockstar Romance Book 2 of Ruined & Relinquished. Dash felt protective over Tristan when he met him but he hasn’t seen him for a month. Then he met Romeo and he has strong feelings for him. Can he find happiness with these two men? Would they have any interest? When Dash brings it up to Tristan he isn’t sure what to think but meeting Romeo it all clicks. They all have a bit of baggage they bring but this relationship is something they all want. I loved the storyline and the characters. I love there are a few little plot twists. I would definitely recommend this book and I cannot wait for Slaters story.

Now, if you read my review of the first book, you know I was looking for a bit more angst and conflict.

Whoa boy, did I get it in this book! It was fabulous all around.

Dash, Romeo, and Tristan (who we met in the first book) are dynamite. Romeo and Tris are in need of extra TLC in this book as Romeo faces severe panic attacks and Tris needs to find somewhere to live to get away from his grandmother's homophobia and to get over his ex (who is Elic's stepfather) after discovering the lies he was fed.

The three of them come together in a bit of a cheesy way, but it works and it's great. I really love the three of them together.

This book also brings in more of Jordan, the local Mafia boss and how he ties into Romeo's secrets that he's afraid will push Dash and Tristan away.

This was a fabulous installment of this series and I can't wait to get Slater's book next!

This was an easy read but didn’t hit the mark with me. The story follows Dash (super positive drummer in a successful band… aka the golden retriever), Tris (the one trying to regain his self confidence and self worth after horrible ex boyfriends), and Romeo (the extremely gorgeous but panic attacky man who has a past he feels is super scary, but, honestly… its not so bad) meeting and falling in love while dealing with past drama. United the 3 of them overcome all their fears and find a life that works really well for them.

This book was just off for me. Half way through and I couldn’t quit grasp what type of book I was reading. I feel like I was reading 3 baby books in one big book… which isn’t that bad, but, I just didn’t draw me in.

Quite simply an excellent MMM love story with heart, emotion, and depth. Dash, Romeo, and Tristan each have their own secrets and trauma that drive this story, but once they connect they have an instant support. I loved each one individually, but loved them more as a group. From book one Tristan had already gotten in my heart, and now these wonderful other two characters have joined him.I loved how in times of crisis they were there for one another. Each one fulfilled needs of the others and that makes for solid foundation of love and romance. You do not have to have read book one but doing so sure does keeping up with all the characters much easier. I did receive an ARC and leave this honest review.

"Lyrics of Love Unheard" is another great book from Michelle Dare. The story is well written, the characters are great, and the angst in this one is low. I love her ability to weave in the characters from her other stories in this world without them overpowering the current story. It is great to see the other characters that I have come to love so much. Michelle Dare is one of the authors I know I need a clear schedule for because once I start I don't want to put the book down. The story pulls you in right from the start and totally hits you in all the feels. There are so many laugh out loud moments and there are some that definitely pull on your heart strings. There are quite a few surprises along the way too!!! I cannot wait for what comes next for these guys!.

Lyrics of Love Unheard is a beautifully crafted romance that captivated me from the first page. Michelle Dare’s storytelling shines with emotional depth and vivid character development, making the love story feel authentic and heartfelt. Her ability to blend sweet and sensual moments with complex, relatable characters is impressive and keeps the reader fully engaged throughout. The chemistry between the protagonists is palpable, and the emotional journey they take is both moving and satisfying. Dare’s writing style is polished and immersive, drawing you into the world she creates with ease. I highly recommend Lyrics of Love Unheard to anyone who loves a passionate, well-written contemporary romance with genuine emotional stakes.

In the second installment of Ruined and Relinquished, we see Dash become completely smitten with Tris and Romeo. Tristan was brainwashed by El's stepfather so he's heartbroken and vulnerable. Dash decides on day one that Tris is his. He meets Romeo at a high class strip club. Dash want them both! He can't get either one out of his head. As fate would have it, Tris meets Romeo at a coffee shop.

Lyrics of Love Unheard has humor, drama, chaos, the mafia, mental health issues, love, and yes, spice.. I enjoyed Dash, Tris, and Romeo's story. I can't wait for Slay's story.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Michelle Dare is a new to me author but I’m always down for an MMM with a bit of intrigue and high powered mafia men. For me it’s a bit of suspended disbelief anytime I enter a mafia based book world, but that hot tension - yes please. Throw in a dash of rockstar and a dancer and it’s got pretty much everything I love. Plus points for the abuse/trauma and hurt/comfort. The series is really MMM focused which does add more people to track between books, and is adjacent to the three ties series so even though it’s only book two it’s really entwined (kind of) with the other series. There is a guide to people at the beginning but I do wonder if it would be best read in order.

It’s time for our favorite drummer of Ruined and Relinquished to find his epic HEA. Dash has already met Tristan and if you have followed the books in other, you have already felt it simmering below the surface. Throw in a beautiful dancer who also snags his eye. He wants them both and will have them. All three are willing to give it a go, overcoming difficult pasts, trauma and secrets, these men are a unit that works, they fit like they have always belonged together. I loved how soft they could be, helping and healing as they deepened their relationship, to the explosive and hot parts that have you begging for more.

When Michelle Dare writes it, all good things come in three! She keeps writing about these amazing personalities that compliment each other perfectly even if they differ as much as night and day. And being able to revisit characters from the books that came before makes it one beautiful world filled with people who know how to care for one another, blood and found family alike. And each time I get to visit them again is a treat! Just keep them coming.

I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I had a feeling this was going to be a great book but it was so much more. All three of these men are perfect in their own ways. After meeting Tristan in book one, Notes of Unspoken Words, I wanted to wrap him in love and hugs now I want to include Romeo and Dash in that, especially Romeo. I can’t wait for Slaters book next, I have a feeling his is going to hit deep. 🖤🔥🎶🔥🖤

My favorite quotes:

• Romeo: Dash placed his warm palm on my cheek. “You need to eat, angel. I don’t want the panic attack you had to get worse again. We have to bring your sugar up.”

My mind latched on to what he called me. “Angel?”

“When I saw you enter the stage tonight, I thought you needed wings. It would have made you a dark, sinful angel who descended to earth just for me.”

• Dash: Even when a bug flew into my mouth on my ride over, I couldn’t wipe the grin from my face. I coughed, spit at a stoplight, but kept smiling.

• Romeo: Turning in Dash’s arms, I looped my arms around his neck and pressed my nose to his skin. Even in a room full of strangers, I found comfort in Dash’s scent, his touch, his heartbeat, where it fluttered against my lips.

• Tristan: It was messy, this life we lived with the people in it. Even in the quiet minutes where we were so damn in love and content to just be, we knew anything could happen. A rival could try to take Jordan or us out if they figured out how deep Romeo’s connection was, like his uncle did.

This time was ours. This place, this life, this amazing moment. And we wouldn’t have it any other way.

• Romeo: This group, this extended family I was part of, they accepted me and didn’t judge. They were there for me, all of them. I couldn’t repay the love and kindness they’d given me, but I could be there for them, even if it was joking around. And I loved this sense of freedom. The feeling of knowing no matter what I said or did, or if I panicked, they were solid in their support of me.
