I blend into society, hitting all the goals that we’re required to have to be deemed successful. I have a good job, great parents, and I’m independent. But still – life is a little boring without a thrill to offset the 9-5 life.
During a girls’ night, my best friend stumbles upon an application for a charity event. But it’s not your usual gown and tux situation. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect to fill out an application to be a part of a key party. But if I’m going to chase a thrill, I might as well go big.
One night of fun was all it was meant to be - a story to laugh and reminisce about later.
When my name is called out, I’m ready to accept my fate and dive in headfirst. Except when I realize who has me for the night.
Back from the dead are my two foster brothers. But don’t let their success and charm fool you – they are psychotic, unhinged and worst of all… still have a desire to torment and break me.
Devoured in 3 hours!!!! I couldn't put this book down. Rayne's story is wicked, you need to read it. I really hope that's not the end though. I feel like her story isn't over.

Rayne likes safe. She's a paralegal at a law firm; safe. She has dinner with her parents every Saturday; safe. She catches up with her best friend every Thursday night; safe. Rayne has hit all the goals you need to, in order to be deemed 'successful', she's independent, has a good job, a good relationship with her parents. But life is boring. It's...safe. So, when her best friend mentions a charity event, she stumbled across that, if chosen, would mean one wild night, Rayne reluctantly agrees. Getting accepted as one of the attendees wasn't something she saw coming, but she'll go and she'll try not to be so uptight about it. Until the people who pull her key are the ones she least suspected. Her two foster brothers - Hawk and Jett. They spent the better part of their lives, making hers a living hell. Now they're back, and all they want is to break her...or do they?
When this one ended up in my inbox, I honestly didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. I powered through this one in less than 24 hours, and that's while I was doing other life stuff as well. This was a quick, easy, and steamy read. Macca has the ability to surprise me every time. I know that she's a brilliant writer, but every time I finish one of her books, I can't help but mutter to myself "She's done it again", and with this one? She did it again.
This read almost more like a novella for me, but that worked perfectly for the story itself. It had just enough page time to be intriguing and draw me in, while still having depth to the characters and the story, without getting bogged down and dragging along plot wise. Rayne is someone that I think everyone can relate to a little. Everyone has their comfort zone, and the majority of people like to stay in said comfort zone, me included. So, when Rayne takes a leap and steps outside of the cushy little box, she calls home, she dives headfirst into probably the most uncomfortable of situations that anyone could think of. I knew going in what the spice, the tropes and the TW were, and I was here for every single one of them. The spice was delectable, and the characters were wonderful. And as said above, for a shorter page count, I felt that the plot in this was a thing, there was a purpose to it, and I really enjoyed it. I feel like the two books that I've read from this series of interconnected standalones, they've both centred on stepping out of your comfort zone and diving headfirst into the wild, wacky and uncomfortable, which I personally feel is a fantastic theme to be writing about. Too many of us spend the better part of our lives staying in our comfort zone, staying in the safe zone, and I feel like if more people took a leap of faith, they'd realise that there is so much more to life than comfort and safe.
The characters were really enjoyable, even though Rayne did grate on me a little. I can understand why, she needs to be in control and I can understand that, but making assumptions about people generally ends up in the person making said assumptions being incredibly wrong, and it also seems like they've been hanging onto things that aren't even a thing for so long that was weighing them down, that became a huge part of the centrepiece of their lives, when in fact, they were wrong all along and life could have been so different up to the present point if they didn't just make assumptions. I loved the growth that happened with her, especially because of the size of the page count. Rayne went through humungous growth in this story, and I was here for every second of it. I love a good, flawed character who has a chance to evolve and grow, and that's exactly what I got out of this book. Hawk and Jett were so similar yet so different in their approaches to Rayne and I loved both of them. They're brutal and they are powerful, and they just want so much more for her than she ever dreamed for herself.
I don't want to write too much and give too much away, so I'm going to end it here. This one was a quick and fun rider that pulled me in from the get-go. It was spicy and amazing, and super enjoyable. I loved the themes it touched on and the overall message that I took away from it was "step out of your comfort zone once in a while, take the leap, you never know what amazing thing might be waiting at the bottom" which is quite fitting as I have also taken a leap recently. I really loved the characters and I'm hoping that Macca will revisit them in a more fleshed out story further down the track. If you're looking for a quick, spicy, fun read, then give this one a go. You won't be disappointed.
I truly loved this book. It definitely has triggers and is dark so make sure you read what triggers there are at the beginning.
Rayne is pretty much just going through life and her best friend talks her into applying to do the Key party. She gets picked to be one of the ladies and is a bit nervous since she has never done anything like this before. She grew up with loving parents and also her parents has fostered kids over the time when she was young but only two has stayed to live with them. When she was 13 two brothers became her foster brothers. They tormented her so much in that time period and when Jett, the youngest of the two, turned 18, they got an inheritance from their grandparents and moved away.
At the key party, Rayne spots Hawk and Jett her foster brothers and wouldn't you know they pick her key. When they get to the room, fighting and arguments take place but there is definitely an attraction with them all. As time goes on, with the boys pushing her, she still finds herself attracted to them. There is definite hate to lust in this but I really loved how it came together.
So much more happens in this book and definitely should read it.
Primal Play Cutting/Blood Play Foster Siblings Gun Play Key/Sex Party Single POV
Damn! The foster sibling trope hit a little different in this book and in the most delicious way. This was told as a single POV by Rayne but I really really really need/would like Hawk and Jett’s POV.
This follows Rayne, a simple girl who doesn’t stray from her comfort zone, until her best friend makes her sign up for a charity event, a key party for high rollers.
Hawk and Jett, brothers. They were in the system and fostered by Rayne’s parents. They liked to play “pranks” and torment Rayne as kids, she hated them. Once the boys turned 18, things changed they became millionaires (thanks grandparents) and went off to do their own thing.
They also attended the charity event….Hawk picked a key out of the bag.
This was super fast, super spicy not a lot of storyline but I think it’s more about self growth and I read it under 24 hours. COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN but I feel like I needed more.
🔥Key Party 🔥Foster Brothers 🔥MFM 🔥Check those Triggers!!
Rayne is part of the Wicked Temptations: Key Party Series. Each book is written by different authors with different characters. The basic premise is that a charity event called a Key Party takes place where women volunteer to have men pick their key and then they spend the night together.
Rayne is written in Rayne’s POV until the Epilogue chapter at the very end. She is chosen for this Key Party and it’s her foster brothers, Hawk and Jett, that end up with her key. This one chance meeting changes the course of Rayne’s life. I did not know how badly I needed that last chapter to be in Hawk’s POV. It brought the whole book to a perfect ending.
This book started out rough for me as I’m not a fan of some of the things that happen to Rayne in that room. Even though I know she wants it but keeps saying no because she can’t even begin to think that it’s okay with her “brothers”. When you finally get to Hawk’s POV, everything just falls into place. Such a good read!! Just remember to check those triggers!!
So let me start off by saying OMG, I was not prepared for the spice but I was 1000% here for it. The tension the MC and FMC put off could be felt off the screen…especially in the party room 😆(iykyk). But on a real note, I loved how possessive the MMC’s were and still pushed her to go and accomplish her dreams. Legit swoon worthy because them dreams was not something short and sweet. That was a whole mission. This FMC went from struggling in her life and being such a people pleaser to being able to do something for herself and grow herself ON TOP of finding a love that they literally waiting years for. Does this have dark themes and triggers, absolutely yes it does. Does this also help show that love is worth it if you for it. Also yes. 1000 out of 10 recommend. Part of me actually wishes I could go back into the book blind and re-Read it to experience it again!! As always, please read triggers before diving into this book!!!

I had no idea what I was getting into when I picked up this book, but I have to admit, I really enjoyed it (not sure what that says about me, heh).
I loved the concept of a key party - it's something I've heard about, but never read a book about, and it was such a unique way to get our MC's to all meet. Part of me enjoyed the shock and the turbulent emotions Rayne felt when it was revealed that those who selected her key were her two, mildly (okay, very) psychotic foster brothers, Jett and Hawk.
This is a fast paced, fast read book with little plot but still has a way of grabbing your attention and wanting to know what happens next. It definitely is a book of growth of character (for Rayne), and getting the one you want (for Jett and Hawk). It's full of spice, drama, action and some emotional moments, and I loved seeing the growth of these three's relationship.
My only wish is that it was in multi POV so we could get the boy's perspective, but at the same time, only reading from Rayne's POV gave a more suspenseful read.
Thank you to the author for the eARC opportunity. These are my honest thoughts that I have provided voluntarily.
Warning, this one could be very triggering to some. Read the trigger and content warnings because at the end of the day, your mental health comes first.
This is a dark one, you have the FMC and the MMCs are her foster brothers. Now grown, they meet at the key party. It's not a beautiful family reunion for sure. There is many ups and downs in this one, many that will push Rayne to what could be breaking points. Unhinged fosters brothers make for an interesting story for sure.
I did enjoy this one, even if at times, I wondered if it would ever get better for all involved. One scene definitely was a hard bottle hit for sure, but they come together against those greater evils to get to the other side, the end of the rainbow, the HEA.
Paralegal Rayne (FMC) leads a pretty much boring life until a friend suggests a key party that will add a bit of excitement to her life. A night of naughtiness with someone unknown only things don't go exactly to plan. The men she spends her night with are her Foster brothers. The ones who made her life hell (or so she thought) growing up. It definitely lead to some very steamy scenarios that burnt up my kindle!! Her foster brothers are not all they seem and that epilogue cleared that up. It was a brilliant way to end this book. Loved it.
First- I was on the fence about continuing in the first few chapters. I am not huge on humiliation/ degrading Kinks but me having faith in Steph. I continued on and found I absolutely loved the growth between the characters.
Rayne has been "tormented" by her 2 foster brothers for years. Until 1 day, they're gone. Now she's an adult and working. She's not unhappy with her life, but she isn't happy either. Low and behold the 2 bully "brothers" make a comeback.
They've watched her and made sure was taken care of for years. Now they need to "break" her to make sure she sees the better things out of life and starts taking risks.
I went into this blind and I devoured this it, as I do with all Steph Macca books! It was dark, delicious, and dirty.
This was a fast read and oh so spicy but had enough plot to pull me in and keep me intrigued throughout. This had so much growth when it came to Rayne. She took control of her life, and I was here for it.
I loved watching the relationship of these characters grow. This storyline was something different. I was engrossed the whole way through. It was emotional at times, full of spice, drama, and enough action to keep me on my toes. The added epilogue was icing on the cake.
Check triggers before reading and enjoy the ride ✌️🤤🫠
Love a possessive alpha who is always in control in a good way. Hawk was my favorite in this story. I loved how methodical all his plans were and how he cherished Rayne. I really liked this book, this is the first book I've read of Steph Macca and I couldn't believe I finished it as quickly as I did. I didn't want it to end. I needed more of Hawk. His epilogue was perfect. I truly appreciate the author's notes at the very beginning of this book. Happy to have found a new author in my addictive readings of cliterature. 😉♥️
Loved this dark, slightly taboo menage story. Rayne has been estranged from her foster brothers for years. They reunite under unexpected circumstances, and she is forced to face her feelings towards them. Lots of triggers, so check the warnings. Her brothers are sweet in their own psychotic way, and there’s some pretty yummy spice. There’s a different sort of happily ever after at the end. Loved it!
Weirdly I really enjoyed this, I say weirdly because it took me ages to fall for the guys in this. Normally, even if it’s dark there’s a glimmer of something there and it’s not even because of some of the darker elements, I’m generally fine with those. They pushed Rayne so hard and then finding out why as the story drew to an end, it was like the sun coming out after a storm. Totally, wonderfully, weirdly great!
This was a pretty quick and intriguing read. MFM, foster brothers... There was a bit of drama, a few emtional moments, and some delicious spice. Rayne was smart and confident. However, she was also missing something and didn't even realize until Hawk and Jett. It was good to see her growth and do something that truly made her happy in the end. I would have loved to get the guys povs, but not having them added a bit more suspense to the story. Thankfully, we do get to her from Hawk in the end. I was so glad too. It was just what I needed to end the story.
The foster brothers trope definitely hit the spot In the best ways possible in this book. 😋 When the simple, quiet girl gets invited to a key party the unexpected happens. Being paired with your foster brothers who you hate, but payed to have you.
While this book did appear to have many red flags, it did a good job of also showing her consent at times where I was a bit hesitant. It had lots of tropes I loved like 🔫 play, some chasing, you’re ours, some permanently marking. I thought they were all perfectly done.
This was a super easy read, and I believe it finally broke my reading slump! 🤩🤩
Uhm… WOW! I love how the plot is fmc focused, about breaking her walls down (pun intended) and her focusing on her life. The two mmc’s, pissed me off to no end but eventually redeemed themselves once they made their motives known. This is on the darker side, esp with the MMCs. You definitely want to punch them a couple times. The spice is ahhmazing, from start to finish. I loved Rayne and her whole personality, I couldn’t put this down 🥵
This story was everything! I’ve read other books by Steph before but there was something so insanely different about how this book was approached.
Rayne is fast paced, dark and introduced a concept that I e never been introduced to before with the key party. There is something so grabbing about how we get just her POV and while I usually enjoy at least a chapter or two from the MMC I don’t think this story is over just yet!
The story is a captivating exploration of dark attraction, power dynamics, and emotional turmoil. Rayne's journey from fear to forbidden passion is intense, with well-crafted tension that kept me hooked. The psychological complexity and the characters' dark allure made this a compelling read. Be sure to check the trigger warnings, but if you enjoy dark, emotional stories, this one is definitely worth it.
Rayne never in her dreams did she think her past would come back and haunt her . Going to the key party definitely had its surprise encounter for her. I didn’t think she was that displeased in seeing her foster brothers. The girl was stubborn and strong minded.I liked this entire book and watching Rayne grow and open her eyes. There were some nice spicy scenes . I enjoyed reading this book.
So, I have to say that this book was a fun read. Once you get past the scary dark chasing, that is. I'm a grown woman still afraid of the dark, lol. But... Once you figure out that it's just some fun(dark sense of humor), it makes you laugh. I enjoyed the fact that all of it was to ensure that Rayne lived her life instead of just existing. I liked the fact the "brothers" helped her realize what she needed to break out of her shell. It was overall a good, fun read!
This book was about Rayne applying for a charity event to step out of her comfort zone. She didn't know her drunken application would lead her to a surprise reunion with her foster brothers. They help her and support her stepping out of her comfort zone and becoming the women she was always ment to be. This book had some good spicy moments. This book was a must read. Please read trigger warnings before you read.
Rayne, our fmc is beautiful and kind but plays everything a little too safe. Enter her foster brothers, Hawk and Jett. When Rayne spontaneously signs upto a night for charity her world is turned upside down literally overnight.
Hawk and Jett see Rayne as so much more than their foster sister. It was so sweet that they were so protective of her even though they showed it in strange ways. I knew they loved her and I kind of want to know more about them and how it transitioned to more for them. Like was it instant or did it happen over time? Also Rayne, did she ever feel anything else other than her "normal" feelings for Hawk and Jett?
I'm so sad that this story is over but it was so good and I can't wait for you to read it 🖤
Thank you so much to Steph and your amazing team for giving me the chance to be apart of your ARC team. I am forever grateful 🙏 All opinions are honest and my own ❤️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶🌶🌶
🖤 single pov ❤️ forbidden 🖤 foster siblings ❤️ why choose/ mfm 🖤 spicy scenes ❤️ good girl/ bad boys
This was a sexy story I read in a couple of hours. Rayne and her foster brothers meet again at a key party when the book starts. I loved the taboo relationship. The men are dark and I was there for it. There are some potential triggers so heed the warnings. I liked the way Hawk and Jett pushed her out of her comfort zone. Overall a good read.
Steph Macca has certainly outdone herself with this book Rayne. This is a fast-paced storyline. That I think everyone who enjoys stephs books will enjoy this read.
Rayne might be a girl with simple wants and needs and want a quite life of sorts but with the help of her friend makes her Step out if her comfort zone at a charity event. And this brings us this epic story of Rayne and her Step brothers. You will not be disspointed with this read.
I had no idea what to expect going in to this (who has time to read blurbs?) but as soon as I read the words ‘key party’ I knew I was in for a good time. I just didn’t anticipate how much of a good time!
I am lowkey obsessed with Hawk and Jett and they will be added to my book boyfriend HoF! The spice in this book was just perfect!
I really loved this book! Rayne is a shy and overworked paralegal. She goes to a key party where her name is chosen by her foster brothers. Hawk and Jett were Rayne’s foster. Brothers and loved by her parents, but they tortured Rayne for years. I was not sure about Hawk and Jett at first but I soon loved them. I immediately loved Rayne! She is so sweet. Things heat up between the three and learn about some twists. This is such a good and fun book!
Do you like your men masked, tattooed, a little taboo and a lot unhinged? You'll love Jett and Hawk, I know I did. Rayne is convinced to sign up for the Key Party by her best friend and to her shock was selected. More to her shock was who selected her key. This story was packed with tension, taunting, and teasing. It was fabulous. Loved this Wicked Temptation world.
So this is my first steph macca book, and I totally enjoyed it!! Definitely loved the characters and their growth. Hawk and jett definitely are the crazy men we love to want! Rayne was the typical nieve sweetheart, which works for the sour and sweet aspect.I do feel the end was a little rushed but still made for a great read!
This was my 2nd book read from the Wicked Temptation Key Party, Jordan was my 1st and it was great! Rayne is a mix of so many themes it keeps you spinning and waiting to see what the author thinks up next. The hot scenes are HOT but the heart of the storyline is Rayne's personal growth and fulfillment. Another great book by Steph Macca!
