From the get-go of the Game, Raven’s been through a lot. But in the grand scheme of things, all his ups and downs are just stepping stones to greatness. Knowing this, he keeps pressing on, facing whatever comes his way and never wavering from his core beliefs. But now he’s hit another tough to kill or to help? And it’s not just anyone; it’s about Abenkhriar, the Guard of his Floor and a servant to someone who’s not to be crossed.
I say weird because in one chapter of the book the MC is going to start investigating murders that are happening in the real world using his in-game powers that he can now use in the real world. And now it’s to the point where the MC doesn’t even kill anyone anymore and where starting to see the clear divide between good/evil and right/wrong. Not sure where the author is taking this being that the game world is explained to be a training ground. And “The Tower” is where you the Players meet other “real” ppl. It’s was never explained that the world or hinted at that training world has real ppl other than the players, I’m not saying go on mess murder just puts me off that I cane for the action and adventure and all I’m starting to get are moral lessons on why not to kill NPC’s.
Unless the next book is crazy long, I am assuming that it will not be the end of the story. I was hoping for a bit more on the other two development paths in this one. Aside from that, Raven continues to bounce around still being the good guy. The hints that the next book could be a ginormous battle makes me excited to pick it up and see. As we continue to follow his progress, I love that he still is not so far ahead of the others and yet it feels like he is building the foundation to shoot ahead. Lots of Buddhist influence and wonderful insights. Warning: Explicit language
Not sure if it's because it's been a long time between books, this one was relatively quick after the previous one, but there a lot going on and it's hard to keep track of, and very few resolutions, keeps jumping from one situation to another very little of it seems familiar after reading the previous books who knows how long ago. Still ok but would definitely recommend a recap of what's gone before if you haven't recently read the previous installment.
Never been a huge fan if litrpg but damn series has changed my mind. Couldn’t put it down and finished the entire series I’m 5 days. Can’t wait for the next book to come out
