Super fast paced, super smutty, and delicious short story. There’s not a whole lot of plot to this story but what is there is good. Overall I enjoyed this story and will be reading more in this series.

As I was reading this book, I had the feeling I’d read this story before. Then it hit me that this was the same as Cherished Obsession by Carina Evers, with a dozen or so extra pages and shifters as the stars of the show. But everything else is the same. Are Tala and Carina the same person? Being as this is virtually the same book, I’ll just summarize my previous review. I found the story a bit cliched and although the storyline had potential, the main female character was frustrating, falling straight back into bed with the hero after being ghosted for two years without virtually any resistance. I would have been hopping mad! Where’s her indignation! The hero, meanwhile, was an over-the-top alpha character, which can be fun in moderation, but in this case, felt grating as he breezed back into the heroine’s life with no apology or explanation to protect her from a threat he had caused. It did improve as it went along and some of the suspense in the latter parts of the book was gripping and well written. I just wish the author had pointed out it was a rewrite.

Part of the Shifter Obsession each can be read as a standalone yet connect via the shifters and the one who captures his undivided attention. Xavier sexy as all get out shifter met his mate at the start of a war with another shifter group knowing he should have stayed away from her but being she was his mate he told himself one night…just one night but after one night he wanted to make sure she was safe and so staying away was his only option even though it broke his heart but he was never too far from his girl. Willow met the man of her dreams for one night she had him but then he ghosted her walked away like she meant nothing, that hurt took her two years to piece herself back together and to help her she wrote letters on her computer to him about everything/anything. But now he is back saying he is there to keep her safe, but she wants nothing to do with him especially feeling like he used her but now he has to convince but will she believe him, will she accept his explanation, will he keep her safe, will she understand shifter world, and can they find happiness through the fighting?

Heat- 🌋🌋🌋🌋☄️ (1🌋=2☄️). Deducted 1/2 star because the author used the V word a couple of times and it was like reaching for a spiced rum and sticking your hand into a glass of ice water instead. I don’t know why they did it; it’s not like this author is scared to use the P word or C words. It introduced a jarring note into otherwise fabulous zexytime scenes.

What I liked- I think that using the letters as a framing device was both intelligent and original. And of course, the zexytime was so hot I was afraid the fire alarm was going to go off.
What I didn’t- I’m not crazy about the whole I’m-Leaving-You-For-Your-Own-Good trope, but it did work here, and the letters tied it all together.

Willow and Xavier had a one night stand in her restaurant after his event was done but left her. Willow for two years sent letters to him every week put them in her mailbox didn’t like being ignored, Xavier got the letters and built a house the way she had described in her letters but every night he would sit near her house trying to keep her safe from the Grimclaw pack. One night he was there saw the back door open got in the house just in time to save her from the explosions took her to his house. Had to explain what was going on, she took his laptop to her restaurant gave it to the bad guys to save her friend. Told Xavier to unlock it so they could release the bombs but the code he put in destroyed it. Good book!.

Willow and Reaper's Story . . .

Willow, a restaurant owner, and Xavier, the Alpha of the Bloodbound Pack, had what she thought was a wonderful one-night-stand and then he disappeared from her life. (He actually took her on the table at her restaurant after everyone left as he knocked dishes all over the floor while having a cell phone conversation as they were engaging in their fun – not my idea of romance!) As a sort of self-imposed therapy, Willow spent 2 years sending him letters weekly to describe their night together. He never responded, but he did watch over her secretly to make sure the Grimclaw pack stayed away from her. When his enemy thinks she is important to him, it puts her in danger as they try to get to him through her. Will he take her to safety in his fortified pack? Will they start up their relationship, perhaps this time together as mates?

A Read You Won’t Be Able To Put Down!

Xavier had used her then left her and for two years she’d wrote letters to him with no postal address about her dreams with him then when he suddenly turned up at her restaurant telling her she was in danger, Willow didn’t believe him and sent him away.

Xavier had obsessed about Willow for years, she was his mate but he had to stay away to keep her safe now he had to convince her of the danger and claim her as he should have done years ago.

WOW! This is one hot, steamy read with a sexy possessive Alpha and his mate. You can feel the obsession and intense passion throughout the storyline and the HEA will keep you smiling for days.

A very short, sweet, and hot PNR read.

Willow and Xavier have that hot, insta-love relationship.
After a one night stand, Willow hasn't forgotten the man who shook up her world and to cope, she writes him letters that were never meant to be sent. Feeling the same, Xavier has been keeping an eye on Willow since that night in case his enemies target her. Due to how short the story was, I don't think the shifter part was particularly relevant to the story, more like a convenience to explain their obsession with each other.
At only 74 pages, they are super cute together and are a couple that's easy to root for.

Willow and Xavier share an amazing night together, but he ghosts her after. For the next few years, she can't stop thinking about him and their night. She writes him letters and never thinks she'll see him again. However, one night he reappears and tells her that she is in danger. Willow is upset and makes him leave. What she doesn't know is that he has been watching over her all this time. Will he be able to protect her? Will this be a second chance for them?

This is a great story that will hook you in the first chapter. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book over would enjoy.

First we see her obsession because she writes anonymous letters to him about their "life together".
Then we know he is as obsess as her. They are mates but he has a dangerous life and thinks is safer to her to be without him. But two years later he can't be appart anymore and then his enemies try to harm her to get to him.
Will their love/obsession survive this danger?.

Ignition before she has a huge part at her restaurant, he appears to her and tells her she is in Danger. Her anger gets the better of her and she tells him to leave. He has been watching over her all this time because his enemies are aware of her importance to him. Quick steamy read with drama, danger and passion. Incredible characters that you can’t help rooting for.

This short stories two main characters are Xavier and Willow. Both are wolf shifters. She owns a restaurant and he is alpha of his pack Bloodbound and deals with issues of national security. As the story unfolds Xavier re-enters Willows life after a two years hiatus meant to keep her safe from Grimclaw a rival terrorist type organization. Can Willow trust Xavier not to break her heart again? Will Xavier be able to keep her safe? I enjoyed this story though it is a bit heavy on the sex scenes. If that's your cup of tea I suggest you check it out!.

Steamy AF - Xavier returns to claim his mate Willow, not because he wants her by his side, but because she's in danger from his enemies. Oh well. Looks like he'll have to use all his sensual prowess to make her fall at his feet in surrender. Challenge accepted! A fast-paced read that will leave you panting for more.

One new Alpha trait observed - Xavier cries openly with his mate. He gets brownie points for being vulnerable.

A good steamy read. Shifter Obsession is an 80 page read with a suited good looking man on the cover. I feel neutral about the cover. The blurb is what pulled me in. It promised an obsessed lover in the body of a wolf shifter Alpha, though I was unclear that he was a shifter for the first half of the story. This is a fast paced, action packed story and the only reason I subtracted 1 star was for the over use of rough language. Not only was it not necessary to build the steamy tension, I felt it actually detracted from the scenes. Otherwise, I recommend this book. I borrowed this book from KU.

This one started out a little bizarre, but came together once what was actually happening was explained. Willow has some self-esteem issues due to being a bigger woman, so when Xavier ghosts her, she is very hurt and unable to move on after their interaction. Things are very different from her viewpoint than what is actually happening. Very steamy scenes, which I love. Xavier is a good guy trying to do the right thing who did it the very wrong way. A lot of story in few pages.

This is everything I was looking for and more. The way my jaw dropped just reading the first paragraph. *chefs kiss* This is definitely a must read for all my book tok girlies. When you think it can't get any spicier it does. This is the perfect amount of what I love in a book without it being drawn out and boring. Xavier thinks Willow's life is in danger, can she accept what he did? I enjoyed Willow and Xavier's story, they have plenty of steam, some drama and a bit of obsession going on.

Willow had first encountered Xavier when he was a patron at the restaurant and it had been the high of her life followed by the lowest point when he left. For the last two years she has written a letter to him each week that is never posted. He reappears telling her she is in danger then her house blows up.

Willow and Xavier’s story is short in length, but strong in connection. Why is it the guys always stay away for the girl’s own good? Well when Xavier finally realizes that they are better and safer together, and Willow forgives him for thinking like a guy, their love story blooms and they fight the bad guys and live happily ever after. I always love a book told from both perspectives.

This was a great book, it has a plump fmc, who has made good progress in her life, and the mmc is a important person in his pack and the US. After a one night stand that neither can forget, the "bad" guys try to make sure that they never get another night again.

Tala Moore is a great writer who is able to write the story so you feel like you are there observing what is happening.
This story does not lack the spicy, steam between the two main character.

Quick read, but so good. Xavier and Willow have a one night stand then he leaves. 2 years later he comes back because she is in danger because of a pack war because of how important she is to him. She tells him to leave. They are fated mates who belong together. Definitely recommend this book.
