What Tim Russell knows best is being a family man in Toronto, Ohio, and a boilermaker across the river in Weirton Steel....If Russell feels exploited and abused, it is nowhere evident in these mostly serene poems. Like Dr. Williams, he accepts his “local” for what it is.... A surprising number of his poems are about nature—birds, trees, flowers, and animals—ethereally beautiful against the grim backdrop of a mill town. ~Fred Eckman
