2.5 stars I liked this book more, but I wasn't in love with Grayson and his dead wife trope. I really am not a fan of the dead spouse trope. If I wanted that, I'd read the master of that, Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier, which is a great book. Anyway. More action and adventure + I liked the female lead. She has a unique talent for finding things & people, and she's bold. I'm so tired of the crazy alpha Zeke showing up and why didn't this book conclude about his case that Arabella was supposed to find? That was odd how it went from top priority to whenever for Zeke. Not sure I'll read Lucas' book as I was never a fan of Beth, his love interest.
"Why? Tell me, Arabella. I need to know.” -"I didn’t want you to be him because that meant you were mating another woman.”
The good: Solid plot and story line. Very well written. Great craftsmanship and pacing. Engaging characters. And just the right amount of steam to flare my girl bits to life!
The bad: Nothing constructive wise to embellish on, but *sigh*, so much death and anguish! *tear tear* ;(
In general: “Tempting Gray” had me engrossed since the first chapter and didn’t let me off till the very end!!
Was it just destiny? Coincidence? Or rather just bad timing?...
Grayson “Gray” Blackmoore’s and Arabella "Ara" Donahue's fates were forever entwined even before he had given into his arranged mating with Anita.
But with luck would have them, a century later.... After an assignment leads to Gray murdering a man who’s the son of one of his worst enemies, he finds himself with a dead bruid and once again brought together with the woman who he has never forgotten. Only this time, it's to exact vengeance on the ones responsible for taking his mate’s life.
How will things turn out for them? Can they prevent more bloodshed? And will Gray let go of what’s expected of him and to give into temptation to open his heart to another?
My thoughts: T.A. Grey, I have to confess: I have a love hate relationship with you regarding this book!! One part of me wholeheartedly wanted to give you a big hug for this fantastic story...Whereas, the other part of me absolutely loathed you and wanted to bust out my pitchfork and find you! lol
I was so absorbed in this book that I stayed up from 9pm when Amazon had finally re-released it and read it into the next morning!!
I literally ripped through all of the pages because I was so excited to see what would happen next! I was that addicted! But, what I should have kept already in mind before waltzing into this book was the tragic losses that occurred along the way...
I was particularly miffed with two deaths in the book and was like, “so what is going to happen in the next book in this series then?.” And then as for the other death, I just felt darn bad for Arabella. How heartbreaking!
I also wondered who the heck the mysterious woman is in chapter 35? Beth?Nah, can’t be... And also, what the heck happened with Arabella supposed to track Zeke's mate? Did that go completely void? I thought Arabella was going to solve that after she did Gray's task? Hmm...
I’m now super curious as to how Ms. Grey is going to progress on with Lucas Blackmoore’s story, the bad boy rock god, who’d stolen the heart of Beth, Felicitiy’s bestie from “Take Me.”
Sigh.. This pains me but I'm just giving this a 3 stars!
This book was not as good as the first book. I was really anticipating Grayson's but sadly this was just so-so! I was expecting something more from their story but i feel like it came out forced.
Is it just me? I see all these 5 star ratings.. so maybe I'm missing something here coz I didn't feel any connection on both main characters. There were no butterflies feeling, gut wrenching moments or sexual tension between Grayson and Arabella!
Grayson.. man.. you suck big time. Now don't get me wrong.. he's nice and honorable but he was effin' BORING! I wish there was more to Grayson but nothing really stood out that I could write about. I don't really want to compare but He wasn't as possessive as Dominic.
Grayson is called the protector but he couldn't protect shiiit! All these talk about his mission, revenge for Anita, his love for Anita, his attraction to Arabella, the guilt trip...
Seriously, there were a lot of things going on that it was quite overwhelming! Now, I don't mind all these conflicts but I need some balance in a story. The chemistry between Grayson and Arabella feels lacking!! And the sad part? I was more interested with Grayson and Anita's background love story than with Arabella which doesn't make any sense right?!
heck... I even skimmed the sex scene which is sooo NOT ME!
Sorry for my mini rant up there... Now don't get me wrong, I don't hate it- just a tad bit disappointed. Can't help it, I only have few paranormal favs and put up a high expectation on this book but came out really short for me.
Let me stay clear.. the only reason I stayed here was because of Lucas, Vas and Zeke! And the only thing that sparked any emotion in me was the action-packed and unexpected deaths. Oh boy! Did anyone see that coming?
Overall? Well.. you can already tell how's my conclusion in this book.
Will I read the next one? Fuck.Me.Yes! Despite my rant, I still love this series and still a huge fan.
When Grayson Blackmoore looked at you-you noticed. Big time. Grayson was devilishly handsome. And yet, he acted as if he had no clue as to how kissably perfect his mouth was...
Once again TA Grey has hit me with a series I cant resist. There is a reason this woman has become my go-to author for paranormal romance. Her books are always full of amazing characters, snark & humor, action, mystery, and steamy Alpha-man sex all wrapped up in a great story. While Book one in this series (Take Me) was loaded with sexual tension and angst, this book was all about gut-wrenching heartache, blood and violence. This is Grayson's story....
Nothing tasted good anymore. Hadn't for a long time. Such was life for him. Grayson like his name. Dismal and gloomy.
It was his fault. Of course it was. He'd been born a bastard and would always be one.
We first meet Grayson Blackmoore(Dom's Brother) in 'Take Me', Gray's story is not a happy one. After his mate, Anita, suffered two miscarriages, she began living her life in a constant drunken haze. For years it's been this way, Grayson doesn't even know this woman anymore. She will lie, steal and screw anyone she has to to get her next fix and Gray doesn't know what else to do to help her. He's miserable, lonely, depressed and can't stand to even be around her anymore, but deep down he does still love her and his protective nature won't allow him to leave her.
“She's my bruid. My mate. I love her still.” Maybe not as much as he should, but he would always love his mate. “She may be your mate but we know that's only in name. It's been that way for how long now? Why must you punish yourself for her crimes?” “Watch your mouth!” “I didn't mean any offense, of course. I know you prefer honesty, Grayson, so that's what I'm giving you. It's been a mating in name only for, what, ten years now?” “Twelve,” he said, his voice hoarse. “Addiction is a terrible disease, my friend. I'm telling you that because she's never going to get well if you keep enabling her.” “Fuck you! I'm not helping her be like this. I hate that she's like this. I want her back.”
When a job goes terribly wrong, he loses a client he's guarding and kills the murderer in the process, he has no idea the war he just started. The man he kills happens to belong to the most violent criminal family in the vampire community and they retaliate by going after everyone closest to him. After his family is attacked, vengeance is the only thing on his mind. He approaches Alpha Zeke Hunter for help tracking down those he's after and that is what leads him to Arabella Donahue, a Were with a unique tracking ability.
Zeke rubbed his chin in thought. “A job offer. I'll admit, I didn't expect that out of you, Grayson. However, I'm afraid I'm not hiring at this current time. On the other hand, I might be able to help you.” Grayson's gaze narrowed. “What do you mean?” “Let's just say I know someone whose tracking skills make me look like a pup.”
The job is risky and very dangerous, but Gray is paying a whole lotta money for Ara's services. Working so closely with Gray, even amidst all the chaos and violence, Ara can't help but develop feeling for him. She sees the sad and lonely man, admires his strength and loyalty, wants nothing more than to heal him and can't deny how damn sexy she finds him. But Gray is still so wrapped up in Anita, Ara's presence alone sets his teeth on edge causing him to lash out at her more often than not. But Ara can't help the way she feels.
Fact is, he didn't scare her. Not really. Grayson made her feel safe. The vampire made his living protecting people. Surely that had something to do with it and nothing at all to do with his kissability which he scored high on.
Right from the start this book is loaded with action and bloodshed. We get to spend some time with all the Blackmoore's again along with other favorites from B1, I have to admit Zeke left me in a giggling fit more than once. There will be tears and most of this book is spent just wanting to hug Grayson, that man really deserves some happiness. This series is fast becoming one of my favorites from this author and I cannot wait for more. I have a sneaking suspicion **fingers crossed** that Lucas's book may be next...SQUEEEE
“See, that's the thing with vengeance. After it's over and whoever you want dead is nice and dead, the hot spot is still there. It doesn't go away.” “What hot spot? What are you talking about?” Zeke formed a loose fist and pressed it to his chest. “Here is where it hurts. It burns yah? That's what I call the hot spot. That place right near your heart. It can suffocate ya, or kill ya. It grows there and you think it'll go away, but it doesn't. You'll wait too, days after you've killed 'em. You'll start to think that maybe it just takes a little time for it to settle in before the hot spot goes away. But that's the shit of it, Gray. It doesn't disappear just 'cause you killed the guys. It'll go when it's ready.”

I can't tell you how much I have wanted to read Grayson's story since I first read about him in Take Me the first book in the series. Something about Grayson grabbed me and held on as I became a tad obsessed with him. I even named my cat after him, had a kindle cover made with the Tempting Gray cover and had Tote bags made ( all with the permission of the Author) so that should give you an idea how obsessed I am. So T.A had to get this story right for me and bloody hell she hit it right out the ball park. Not only do we see Grayson struggle with his feelings for his bruid Anita you feel the heartache he goes through when suddenly everything is taken away from him, and my heart went out to him. T.A wrote those scenes beautifully I felt his pain I felt his need to kill and I was behind him 100%. Go Grayson ( see obsessed.) Then throw in Arabella who I loved she was no walk over and you feel the connection from the first time she meets Grayson these two belonged to each other plain and simple. Arabella and Grayson find each other again due to Zeke as Zeke asks Arabella to find him someone and Grayson needs the same thing. Yes Arabella has a special power and you will have to read to find out what it is. I love the journey T.A took us on with this couple from Grayson going all out to protect her. And the fight scenes I do love my blood and gore and we can't forget the sex, as T.A never disappoints with the sex HOT HOT HOT. One scene will play over and over in my head for a while to come. The back story was awesome it was sort of a Mafia style story a eye for a eye till the last man was standing. The way T.A described Vincent Donato and how is love for his sons turned into madness and ended in a great fight scene near the end was outstanding. I couldn't help getting involved shouting go on Grayson and go on Arabella kick his ass. But I have to say it was Zeke who had some great scenes and stole the show for me. He made me laugh and you get the feeling there is so much more behind him and I really can't wait for his story, and there is just something about him that I find so sexy. I was at one point so mad at T.A but I let her of when I finished the story and I'm now excited for the next book in this series. Am I still obsessed with Grayson you bet your ass I am, I can't get enough of this series and highly recommend it.
I have mixed feelings about this book. While I tried to read the book, I just didn’t engage with the characters or the story. The prologue has starts 100 years earlier, Gray and Ara meet each other before Gray gets mated to Anita. They have chemistry and Gray is hoping that Ara is the one he will be mated to. Turns out she wasn’t and he was really let down. It seemed like the two had a real connection.
Then we fast forward to present day. Gray and his mate have been having some problems the past twelve years and he states in this book, and the previous one, that he is not in love with his mate anymore. He talks about all the good times they had and how he used to love her so desperately. That’s where I get confused. He has an “it” moment with Ara and then completely forgets her as soon as he gets mated. Then he’s in complete love the next 88 years. Gray’s feelings are all over the place and that made it difficult enjoy the book.
I couldn’t connect with the characters and had a hard time believing their developing relationship. What really made the book for me was Zeke, President of the Weres and Vampires who also happens to be batshit cray cray. His scenes were the greatest. While I didn’t enjoy this book as much as the first one in the series, it won’t deter me from reading the next book or any other books the author writes. T.A. Grey is a gifted writer and I look forward to her next adventure.
WOW! This book was amazing! It made me laugh, cry, cuss...whatever reaction T.A. wanted to get from the reader, she got! I definitely enjoyed this book so much more than the first one. The first book was great but I didn't care for Felicity's character much.
Ara is a much better female lead than Felicity, she's very courageous, even when she's scared, she doesn't run away.....she pushes herself forward. She was awesome! Grayson was fabulous, a bit damaged; but what man isn't, but fabulous either way. He wasn't a controlling prick but he was fierce...especially in a fight!
As usual T.A.s intimate scenes were hot as hell, definitely no complaints there, but the editing and grammatical errors in this book are worse than the first book. All of those errors are just plain distracting to the reader, not to mention confusing...you need to work on that T.A. because this series looks to be very promising and I would like to read a book where I'm not trying to guess what you meant to type...
the second book in this series does not disappoint. It was great to be on the journey with Grayson as he worked through his pain from the past with his bruid and to watch Grayson and Ara reignite their spark from 100's of years ago. can't wait to see which Blackmore brothers story we get to read next!!!
Absolutely love gray as well as Ara! I finished this book in less than a day and I loved it. I think I have a pretty good idea of whose story is next and I am already excited. Loved the characters loved the action and of course the romance. :))) t.a. Grey doesn't disappoint.
I really wanted to read Grayson's story after being introduced to him in the first book and this does not disappoint. I could really feel Grayson's heartache, the pain of him and of his Bruid Anita and Grayson's feelings of complete loss at how to help her. Enter Arabella, Grayson's first kiss and a werewolf, who Vampire Gray has finally been given a second chance at happiness with. As with the first book the characters are the shinning stars. The character's introduced in the first book are more developed and again I can't wait to read the next book in the series. Especially that of Vas and Kade Gunner!
This dramatic narrative assaulted the reader's emotions from the opening scenes until the closing lines of Grayson and Arabella's story. From grief to shame and horror to elation and erotic afterglow, this story covered the gamut of strong sentiments while still presenting a thrilling tale. I found it very difficult to put this story down. It was so addictive that I just had to keep reading to find out what else could possibly happen to keep Grayson and Arabella from getting their "happily ever after". This was an exciting read with thrilling fast-paced action and bone chilling brutal villains out for revengue. Great Story!!!!!
I really liked Grayson's book. He's had suck a crappy mating ... but he's loyal and protective, so he throws himself into work ... and causes a huge vendetta by a crime lord, when he kills his son by protecting a client ... who doesn't survive.
Arabella ... she's pretty awesome ... and the first non-vamp mate in the series. There's a lot of violent encounters in this book ... and Gray & Ara have to really fight to be together. Not only outside events, but baggage from Gray's past.
It is a good read. action packed drama and twists. Grayson tried to prevent his feeling for Ara but live always prevail. I felt left hanging with no explanation for Kane so hat was a disappointment. Love the banter back and fourth mainly on Ara part it is so funny. The first book to me is by far the best so far in the series love how the other characters was brought in. Great job wOrth the price
This book had so many twists and turns. It definitely keeps you in your toes. Grayson is so strong and alpha. He tried so hard to protect Anita. Arabella was such a strong woman character. She takes control when she needs to and is soft and sweet when she needed to. Loved Grayson and Arabella together. I am on the fence about Alpha Zeke...he is a nut!
Loved them whole book, this guy has been through some shit in his life!!! This series so far hAs been excellent. Would recommend tHese series by T A GREY HAVE BEEN WONDERFUL ! IF YOUR INTERESTED IN GREAT SERIES . I WOULD read any of her books
Grayson lost his bruid and seeks revenge. Enter a were who helps him track down those responsible. We get to see some of Dom and Felicity as well. Good story.
A dangerous vampire, mated to a woman his heart no longer beats for.
A mistake that would change his entire life.
A mistake so horrific it would lead Grayson Blackmoore back to one woman.
A woman who holds the power to shatter him completely—Arabella Donahue.
Vengeance, bloodshed. The hunt is on and Grayson won’t stop until they're all dead.

REVIEW: 3.5 stars---TEMPTING GRAY is the second installment in T.A. Grey’s adult, contemporary THE UNTOUCHABLES paranormal romance series. This is vampire Grayson ‘Gray’ Blackmoore, and Were Arabella ‘Ara’ Donahue’s storyline. TEMPTING GRAY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty although I suggest reading the series in order for backstory and history.
Told from several third person perspectives TEMPTING GRAY is first and foremost a story of revenge. Vampire Grayson Blackmoore is a security specialist whose latest assignment goes horribly wrong and in retaliation Grayson and everyone he loves is targeted for annihilation by the Donato family of psychotic vampires. In desperation, Grayson approaches the new President of the Supernatural Council –crazed Alpha Were Zeke Hunter-in the hopes of assistance in tracking down the vampires responsible for the destruction of his family and home. Enter Arabella Donahue, a non-shifting Were who has the ability to locate ‘missing’ objects, and the woman who has haunted Grayson’s dreams for close to one hundred years.
On the eve of his fated mating to his ‘bruid’ Anita of Redenver one hundred years earlier, Grayson met and fell for a mystery woman, and in the ensuing time he has never forgotten their heated kiss. Fast forward to present day, and Grayson’s fantasy woman is his only hope to locate the sadistic killers who destroyed his life. What ensues is the search for a family of psychotic vampires, and the festering guilt of a man who cannot forgive himself for the murder of his long-suffering wife.
The relationship between Gray and Ara is one of second chances. But for a fleeting kiss one hundred years earlier, Gray knew nothing about the woman that called to his heart as he was about to enter into an arranged marriage with his fated mate. Gray’s happiness is short lived when his ‘bruid’ (mated bride) goes off the rails and spirals into the depths of h*ll following two traumatic miscarriages, leaving Grayson a shadow of his former self. Reconnecting with Ara finds our hero torn between the grief and revenge for the loss of his mate, and the compelling need to seduce the woman he met years before. The $ex scenes are intimate and provocative.
All of the previous storyline characters play secondary and supporting roles including Grayson’s brother Dom and his ‘bruid’ Felicity (Take Me #1), as well as his brothers Vas and Lucas, and his mother Diane. Felicity’s best friend Beth has some major issues with vampire rock star Lucas, and her presence at the Blackmoore Estates will become a nightmare when the family is attacked in their own home. And we can’t forget about the crazed Alpha Were Zeke Hunter who is slowly going insane since the loss of his mate three hundred years ago.
TEMPTING GRAY is a graphically, violent storyline of retribution and vengeance as two families set out to destroy one another in retaliation for the murders of their beloved kin. The premise is entertaining and engaging; the characters are colorful and spirited; the romance is fateful and arousing but saying that the connection between Gray and Ara felt stilted due to Gray’s grief and his overwhelming need for revenge-the rekindling of a relationship between our leading couple begins a matter of hours to days following the murder of Gray’s wife and is understandably awkward and sad.
As to the book format and editing etc, there are several issues of grammar and spelling missteps in the storyline that could have been easily caught with another round of editing and a good proofreader. Perhaps the errors have already been addressed and updated at the e-retailers, but my copy had a number of problems that need to be corrected.
I do not like the way that this book starts off. Anita, Gray's wife, is a alcoholic vampire? Really?
There were way too many inconsistencies between the first book and the second. I understand that you could read one book without the other BUT, whatever was said in the first book, should be upheld in the second.
Dom said that his father had four sons from Four different women in book one, Take Me. However, in book two, Gray states that Luc and Dom have the same mother: "He smiled a cruel smile as he turned to look at her. “My father loved my mother just not enough to keep from fucking other women. Vasilius is only a year younger than me. He and Luc are almost the same age. Grayson was born a month after me. All different mothers.” _Chapter 7 of book one, Take Me
But in Tempting Gray_ Chapter 15 "He and Dom had always been close in their own way. They hadn’t shared many personal conversations over the years, but that was only because it wasn’t necessary. Dom was only thirteen months older than Gray. Their father had gotten Diane, his bruid, pregnant for the first time. That son would bear the name Dominic. Four months after Dominic was born, some business took his father, Argonzo, out to Turkey where he quickly thought himself in love with a peasant vampire named Aysel. He’d bedded her, gotten her pregnant with Gray. Only the oldest and the youngest brother were born from Diane—Dominic and Lucas."
Also, in book 1, it was mentioned that Grayson owned his own security company. However, in Grayson's book, Tempting Gray, he has a boss(Gray called in this mess to his boss—a woman he’d never want to be on the wrong end of—TJ."_Chapter 1? Really? "After Felicity left the estate last night, he’d called his brother Grayson to look into her. Grayson owned a security company that specialized in protecting vampires and weres. Some people always had targets on their back and no one, not even the immortal could always escape a murder attempt. Grayson and his team did excellent work but something his brother excelled at was gathering intel."_Take Me Chapter 5 second part..
- In book 1, Take Me, Dom states that he and his brother Luc can talk in Turkish but Grayson can not: "His brother looked pissed, his jaw clenched and working left and right. “Really? Now you?” “Sen neden bahsediyorsun?” What are you doing, he asked falling back into his old Turkish language. Gray shook his head. “That’s Luc that can speak Turkish.” He bent low at the knees. “Remember, I come from another mother? Mine didn’t come from Turkey, brother.” Dom squeezed his eyes shut. “Fuck, I’m sorry, Gray. I’m shitfaced.” _Book 1 Take Me Chapter 12.
- However, in Book 2, Grayson is speaking Turkish: "It wasn’t until after her footsteps faded away and she disappeared from view that he realized he’d fallen back on his native Turkish tongue"_Tempting Gray Chapter 11
An Editor and a Proof Reader should have read the first and second book for those discrepancies
I didn't like the way Grayson talked to Arabella in chapter 11 Tempting Gray, it reminded me too much of how domineering Dom was in book one: "“Go now, Arabella. Do not disobey me.” He pushed her shoulder enough to get her feet moving. Her jaw wavered up in down like she wanted to say something. “Now!” he said. It wasn’t until after her footsteps faded away and she disappeared from view that he realized he’d fallen back on his native Turkish tongue. The unusual lapse would have to be considered later though. For now…". That did not fit Grayson's character at all.
Like I said, There were too many inconsistencies between book 1 and 2, However, the story line for book 2 was "slightly" better.
I've been told recently that if you DNF a book you don't have the right to review said book and while I understand my friend pov, there are times I feel I must disagree..... Sure it might sound fair to review a book you didn't/couldn't make yourself finish, you might have missed something important mane while they might be at times ,some times they're also wrong... Like when a book is just to awful or disgusting or just weird etc.,for you to continue or like when the characters and story are just working your LAST NERVE!!!! Nothing against Arabella really she seemed nice enough but Grayson? A Huge horses rear all the way! And I'm really ticked off by the description and the reviews for this book they both end d up feeling soo very, very deceptive ,all made it sound like Gray and Arabella had the great love for each other but were cruelly ripped apart when he was forced to wed another.. BS!!!! And made it sound like it was gonna a grateful and possibly joyous reunion ,all soo bittersweet and beautiful... More BS!! Bitter yes! But No ,sweet not as of chapter 15 anyway,Gray was a self pitying ,chain smoking jerk before he mets Arabella the 2nd time after his wife is killed,( a wife he didn't met til his wedding day ( an arranged marriage it seems) and he meets Arabella just a few moments before that, they barely share a 1st kiss before they are dragged a part from their 1st meeting of each other) then he marries another ) that was all that happen between them before their " reunited" and he treats her like garbage because he hates the way she make him feel since the wife he'd stopped loving 12 years before has just been murdered... This isn't the great love story described in the misleading reviews and book description ,these two ppl who barely met when they were pulled in different directions, they share a kiss and a instant connection that doesn't have a chance to really start before it ends... A 100 or soo years later Gray is a very bitter s of pitying man with an alcoholic wife he no longer loves but uses that soo called love to keep enabling her self-destruction while he has a shrink on speed dial and his fave hobby is chain smoking and feeling sorry for himself... And Arabella just ,well she's just kinda there, she still feels that spark of connection for him though I can't think why... No I DID NOT FINISH!! But this was not the story I was promised, I was told the was a story of lost love re found ,but this is the story of two strangers who barely met ( he didn't even know her name) and then meet 100 or soo years later and he's a bitter horses rear ,who treats like garbage because he finds her beautiful while trying to avenge the death of a woman he no longer loved who was his wife in name only... Teaches me to trust reviews..
4.5 Stars! I have to admit that I'm biased and really like this author's writing. I'm reading through all her books and some stand out more than others with this one joining the ones that kept my interest more. Grayson and Arabella were characters I liked reading about as Grayson was a strong alpha but with a tormented mind. Arabella meanwhile was a strong heroine that had a sense of humor but also a backbone. The storyline kept my interest with the chase Grayson gave to the "bad guys"(I don't want to say too much more without spoilers) and his need for Arabella to help him in his quest. T.A. Grey also knows how to write some steamy scenes-there were a few that took place at the right times so that they supported the feelings emerging in the characters while not taking over the whole book.
Lastly, one of my favorite things about this author's writing is how she integrates supporting characters and their stories into her books. She subtly sets up the premise for future books or lets you see how ones from past stories are doing. She does this very smoothly which doesn't detract from the main storyline but as a reader you find yourself very interested in these other characters lives as well. I can't wait for Zeke and Lucas's stories- both men have definitely captured my interest plus the chapter near the end with "someone" being lost...(I have my suspicions about this and hope it develops into its own book:) This book is a stand alone but as I said earlier, her series include characters from other books(in this case, "Take Me") that would just add to this reading experience if read also. I personally read "Take Me" first which meant I had some knowledge of the secondary characters(and Grayson) before reading this story that influenced how I felt about them when I read this book and saw how they acted. If you plan to read this series then I'd definitely recommend reading them in order so you can see how the characters progress through the series. Tempting Gray (The Untouchables)T.A. Grey
This is the 2nd book in the series "The Untouchables". Things can get better, and this book proves it. After reading the first book where Grayson was introduced, that one being about his brother, I couldn't wait to hear his story. Enough was brought out that you just said, Awe..What about Grayson?
This is like two stories in one. The one, Grayson's love story, and the other is Grayson's TRUE love story. He is a handsome alpha vampire from back in the day that excels in security. Arabella, the heroine, is a shapeshifter with a gift in tracking. Together they set out to bring justice for a crime that has left Grayson's world upside down. They are after the Donato family thats known for their invisibly skills and are deadly. There's lotsa action in this read and you are bought right into the story and become a part of bullets flying through the air, knives slicing through flesh, and fists plummeting-knock outs. There's also good, sweet loving and paranormal romance.
T.a. Grey is a great author and she always has something a little different for you in the paranormal romance world. She always gives you something in the end, like a snippet of whats to come. And no cliffhangers. Yeah! I am looking forward to the rest of the series. I'm really looking forward to Vas' story, Grayson's brother. But I'm also looking forward to Lucas' story. Okay, I'm just looking forward to the next book from T.a. Grey.
Tempting Gray is the second book in The Untouchables series, a well written PNR novel.
Grayson, the Hero and a vampire, no longer loves his bruid (wife) because she has become a very disfunctional alcoholic. Even though she has killed his love he remains faithful to her, in fact, he has become her enabler. When she is killed by a criminal vampire family he is out to seek revenge. He settles on hiring a tracking were to help him find her killers.
Here enters the heroine who ends up not only being the girl he fell in love with before his wedding to his bruid, but she is the best tracking were in his area. She is a fun loving woman and the exact opposite of his brooding, grieving self.
The characters are interesting and the action fast in Tempting Gray. The only problem I had was with the Hero's rather schizoid behavior. His emotions and behavior was all over the place and I began to wonder why the heroine would even want him. It made the romance unbelievable.
This is a decent series and I think they are worth taking a chance on if you like PNR.
Tempted not to finish...because the editing is horrendous, horrible, hideous! The story is a good story; the characters are solid and the romance is hot. Starting out with 5 stars, I had to take 2 away on the nightmare that is editing alone. Grayson and Arabella are a good match (love Ara's fearlessness and feistiness although it tends to get her in trouble). The Donatos are the bad guys only in the story long enough for each of them to be slightly effective in their evil badness. Dominic, Felicity, Beth and Lucas keep the action moving along helping Grayson to heal after the death of his bruid. Anita of Redenver's appearance was short the tip of the iceberg that started the whole mess! There is an appearance by the mysterious mercenary Kane Gunner. Is he friend or foe to the Blackmoores? The scene between Lucas and Beth in the kitchen is definitely the setup for the next installment in this series but there will be a twist. I hate to give this such a low rating but with such sloppy and careless editing, I have no choice but to give it 2.5 stars.
Grayson and Arabella are characters created by T.A Gray who I enjoyed following and getting to know. Their personalities and responses developed effectively alongside the plot.
T.A Gray has successfully produced a read filled with solid action, heat and characteristics with qualities that are three-dimensional. As such, Tempting Gray was a thoroughly entertaining read. I didn't quite enjoy it as much book one, yet I happily continued to turn the pages and found escape in her paranormal world.
The narrative is well constructed and the author's establishment of setting is produced especially well. It was easy to visualise the characters and their settings.
I'm keen to continue to get to know the secondary characters a little better, and will continue to happily follow this hot paranormal series.

I was so waiting for this book to come out. This is one of my fav series. I love these men and they make you want to come and wrap your arms around them and hold them close to you. My heart went out to Grayson in the first book and couldn't wait to see what happens in this book. it didn't disappoint. Grayson marriage fell apart when his wife lost her babies and than she turned to drinking . she was a lost soul and destroying herself with the booze and he was left alone and feeling like he was stuck. he met his his real mate when he mated with his wife. yeas what happens when he meets up with the one who has truly held is heart? this story has a lot of heartbreak in t but in the end will he find true love and happiness again or will he always be the broken man? I love this series and I am so excited to see what happens in the next book.
I, like most readers I would imagine loved Grey in the first book Take Me, he was such a tortured soul with a good heart who deserved another shot at happiness and in this, the second book he gets that chance in the form of Arabella a wolf and the recipient of Greys first ever kiss, so yes there's a history there, albeit brief. Grey and Arabella meet again 100 years after their first meeting and the attraction is still there, while they search and battle together can they also ignore and fight the feelings which are growing by the day. This second book wasn't for me as good as the first although I'm really growing to like Zeke, I must admit I wasn't too sure about him in the last book but now as a character I think he's great. As with the first book this also needs editing.
