She's a witch. He's an angel. It can't work... or can it?
When Justinian the angel arrives from Paris to visit a witch in small-town Florida, he hardly knows why he’s there. Sure, they met—once—but is that enough of a reason to drop in and ask her to help him find the meaning of life?
Lizzy’s barely scraping by reading fortunes in her tiny tea shop, and after a crush gone disastrously wrong, her heart is as fragile as a porcelain teacup—until an angel shows up on her doorstep, and love begins to brew like fragrant tea leaves…
This story was very cute and quick. I loved the writing style, and I loved the characters. I do wish we got more from this book, but it was still very good otherwise. I also fell in love with this world and I just loved it wholeheartedly. I highly recommend this book.
This is a very short audiobook. 15 minutes and you are done with 3 chapters. An innocent Little romance vignette between an Angel and a Witch. Not much too it but it puts a smile on your face.
I thought it was a full blown book but it’s not! It’s actually an enjoyable read, short but enjoyable. You can read as a stand alone and really is a cute read because of the way the characters in the short story act towards one another. The way Lizzy acts so cheerful around Justinian is real cute. Oh and an angel petting a cat, so cuteeee. Really good. I recommend it if you’re looking for a short book to read. Is just 15 minutes of your time. Is fast but it’s a good read

This is a short story with yearning, awkwardness, romance, and supernatural elements that shows that love can bloom in unexpected ways.
The FMC is Lizzy, a clairvoyant witch. She runs a tea shop in Florida, and has recently had her heart crushed by an unrequited attraction to her mentor. An angel who had assisted her in defeating her former teacher shows up unannounced at her shop, and she shows him around her small town, trying new things in order to help him learn to enjoy the human world. She takes him to get a massage, go shopping, to eat pastries, and they even get caught in the rain. She takes him to the cat shelter where she volunteers and shares her joy in caring for the animals. Over the course of the day spent together, she allows herself to feel drawn to him.
The MMC is Justinian, an angel. He has lived in a cave, in the catacombs, in France, but came to the aid of Lizzy and her friends in the recent past to deal with a bad witch: Lizzy’s former teacher. Justinian fancies Lizzy and also wants to find a way to live in the human world. His sister angel, Justine, recently opened a bakery and many other supernatural associates have also chosen careers, so he needs help finding out what he might enjoy. He samples some earthly pleasures, sells some coin, and finds enjoyment in sharing experiences with Lizzy is what truly makes him happy. She has had meager success in her tea leaf reading and he desires to take care of her and make sure she can enjoy life too.
This is a sweet little novella that is sure to lift your spirits!
An angel looking for meaning in his life flies from France to Florida and meets a witch he helped previously. She is lonely like he is and suggests doing something fun. However, while they are doing those things, a change does start to take place in them. They find it’s not the “ things” but the “person” which gives meaning to one’s life. Being together completes them and gives them that meaning they were looking for.
This is a short book but a perfect little pick me up to give one a boost if you’re feeling down. We all get discouraged and if we can bring simple new acts of kindness and joy to others to experience, it also will make us happy in return.
I recommend you get and read this delightful little book and go out and help someone else experience new joys they may not have known and thereby make yourself happy as well.
An Angel in My Teacup is a short story featuring characters introduced in Kate Moseman’s A Witch’s Work Is Never Done. Lizzy is a witch who reads tea leaves to earn money. Justinian is an angel who has been living a solitary life. Both are in a funk and need to find new meaning in their lives. After meeting Lizzy in Paris, Justinian thinks she would be the perfect person to help him. With with the help of a clowder cats and a day filled with fun activities they both find what they were looking for. I recommend this short read to anyone who enjoys paranormal romance. The book can stand on its own but I suggest you read the first two book in the Supernatural Sweethearts series. My only complaint is that the book wasn’t longer!
I listened to the audiobook. Narrator Hollie Jackson gives a great performance.
Although this book is the third in the series, it made sense without reading the others. For some reason, I thought this was a full novel so I was surprised when it was only three chapters and just after an hour as an audiobook, although I can't complain as it was free on Spotify. As it was a very short novella, the development of the relationship felt incredibly rushed, especially towards the end. The entire story happens within the space of a day and suddenly they fall deeply in love and by the end, they're already imagining a future where they run her shop together? This was cute and could've been an excellent book if it was much longer. I also didn't like the narrator and the incredibly exaggerated french accent.
An Angel In My Teacup is a cute and cozy paranormal romance between an angel and a witch.
Lizzy is a small-town witch just trying to get by in her little tea shop when Justinian, an angel she met only once, stops by and asks her to help him find the meaning of life.
This story was so cute. The places Lizzy took Justinian to show him the meaning of life were so sweet and simple. It's the smallest thing that holds the greatest meaning in life.
When the audiobook ended, I was so confused because I felt like I missed something. The ending was disappointing, and it felt very rushed.
That being said, it's a very sweet and comforting story.
At only forty pages, this book moved at a rather fast pace. While I don’t mind something more fast paced, in this particular case it did feel rushed at times.
This short novella is part of a series and maybe if I had read the previous books the lack of relationship buildup would have been okay. However, not knowing the characters who their previous relationship, made it hard to really believe the romance happened as quickly as it did.
I did enjoy this story and the comical way that the angel is introduced into the world. There were some funny moments and some cute scenes that really helped to have a well-rounded story.
I listened to this book on audiobook, and the narration was really good. I will probably read more of the series.
I picked this up story up when the author was giving away the audiobook version. This was a short story about a romance between a witch and an angel. Although I found it for the most part enjoyable, I do think that I was missing out on a lot of context. This is the third in a series of books. The characters hinted and talked about things that had happened in the past but because I came into the series where I did it meant nothing to me. I wouldn't recommend starting with this one instead I would start at the beginning to understand everything that was going on. I did enjoy the writing so I will have to go back and start with the first one.
Lizzy and Justinian were both secondary characters in the second installment of this series, and I was curious to see how their story would continue to flush out the existing world. Unfortunately, this really didn’t hold up to the other installments in this series. The plotting of this narrative was hash, and by nature of the pace, lacked logic and came off as underdeveloped. Honestly, it seemed like the author was over the characters and world, but wanted to round out the series as a trilogy before abandoning it fully.
it was funny, hopeful and lighthearted. it was really fast-paced Plot or Character Driven: A mix Strong character development: Complicated Loveable characters: Yes Diverse cast of characters: N/A Flaws of characters a main focus: No
This feels more short story than a novella but i really enjoyed.
It's sweet and quick read but i listened this one.
I liked the chracters and the vibes. But i didn't connected with them. And how short this one it is hardly say was there chracters devoploment.
I wanted more pages to that story it would be then 5⭐ reading.
This charming short story weaves a cozy warmth despite its brevity. Its simple narrative made me smile and it ignites the imagination, inviting you to envision the characters' day unfold in charming detail. An unexpected touch of sweetness comes in the form of the angel’s playful doting on felines, adding an extra layer of heartwarming cuteness. Cats and kittens are definitely part of the cuteness in this book.
This was a cute, fun, cozy tale. I enjoy Kate Moseman's writing, and this did not disappoint. I listened to the audiobook version, which was great, however the narrator may have slightly exaggerated the voice of Justinian. I do feel that sort of added to the fun of the listening experience. I would never have heard that had I been reading on my own. I look forward to more of this author's stories.
A quick audiobook that was an easy listen. It focuses on an angel basically experiencing aspects of human life while in the company of a small town witch. This was interesting but for me has moments that were easy to disengage from the story. As most of the fun follows Justice experiencing human things, like pawn shops, massages, and cuisine, it gives first date feels. I may try to relisten after reading earlier books in this series.
A delightful short in this wonderful world! Lizzy and Justian met when Lizzy went to Paris. Justinian was of great help to Lizzy and her friends. Justinian has been somewhat of a loaner but after spending time with Lizzy and her friends figures out his life is lonely. Justinian heads to see Lizzy. Lizzy is also in a funk and is very happy to see Justinian. It is lovely to watch the angel and witch together.
I did not realize that this book was part of a series. It is book 3 in the Supernatural Sweethearts series. I have not read books 1 and 2 but there are a few references to how the Angel and Lizzie meet. It was just such a sweet lighthearted story that I have to go read the earlier books! According to amazon, there are only 3 books available right now but based on how this ended, I am sure there will be more coming.
I didn’t know that novellas could move as slowly as this one did. It was boring if only because nothing of note happened.
Never in my life have I had an author walk me through the mechanics of putting on a seatbelt but here we are. I guess that’s what you get when your MMC has been living in a literal cave. 🙄
🪽 Bookish Thoughts This was more of a short story than a novella, and I definitely felt it. I was hoping for something a bit longer and more fleshed out. It was cute, but everything felt rushed, especially the ending. I wanted more time with the characters and the romance. That said, the narration was great, Hollie Jackson always delivers.
This was a cute little novella, I do wish I had read the first books in the series first so I could have more backstory to there history. Still a very good and a easy fun romance.
I think if a book is going to be short and sweet (emphasis on the short) then referring to a tough past and other events that sound pretty interesting should be banned. A big battle was one sentence long but the description of a cat was a paragraph - it was just missing something.
Really short and sweet, maybe a bit rushed even for a novella. Justinian was a real cutie though! I think the rest of the series sounds interesting though, and even though this is technically last I would consider reading/listening to the rest of them from this.
"That her smile made him feel less like he had been buried underground and forgotten?"
The cover is so cute and the story was short and sweet. It was a great palate cleanser and exactly what I was looking for! And the nickname?!? It was perfect!
