Battle lines are clearly drawn. When Colt Nichols holds a not-yet twenty-four-year-old Casey Bond in his arms, dead after sacrificing himself for Colt, he can’t help the guilt washing over him. He knows he should feel grateful, but memories from the past resurface, threatening to pull him into a true Colt-fashion downward spiral .Too much time alone does no one any good. Lex Nichols finds herself spending far too many nights alone. It seems all she does lately is wait and ignore the fears creeping up inside of her. She always tells everyone to follow their instincts, but she’s always been better at giving advice than following it. Until something happens to prove her gut right. She knows she can no longer ignore the truth, and she has to do something. But with two small children, what exactly can she do?V is for Vendetta, only no one knows why. The Savage Slashers have a bone to pick with the Deranged Drifters in Black Valley, and no one has a clear reason as to why. But as the attacks cause a loss of inventory and increase their already too high body count, it’s clear something has to be done. Something drastic. But how do they defeat an enemy when they don’t know what they want or why they’re so hellbent on taking them out?

Logan Gray is a writer and authorpreneur who likes to create books like artists like to create art. Description is important, but she wants to allow the reader to make the story their own. While she wants to give the reader what he or she needs to see the picture she's trying to depict, she doesn't want to fill the pages with unnecessary description to restrict how the reader views the characters or places.

While this may not appeal to all readers, she hopes it appeals to others who like you add their own touch to the story. Maybe they would rather the walls be white instead of gray. Maybe they'd like to envision the person is tall instead of average height. While the description as she sees it is there, it's not written so strongly the own interpretation cannot be made and applied. It gives the reader some creative freedom in a hobby that isn't always as flexible.

3.5 stars. Long review and spoilers incoming. Obviously I have a problem because I can not stop reading this trainwreck. This story mostly focused on Colt and Lex. But let's be honest. The whole series revolves around them. In this installment of Days of Our Lives/Son's of Anarchy as Amy put it. Thanks Amy. Colt starts down a destructive path after Casey, a brother from a different Drifter's chapter dies in his arms. He picks up his ol habit of drinking vodka. Start's hearing his dead brother Noah and Casey's voices. (But let's be honest this is his guilty conscience speaking to him in the form of the passed on.) His liquor of choice when he wants to make bad decisions. And he intentionally drinks because he wanted to fuck up. His words y'all. Now he's growing distant from Queen Lex, and she's turned in her "I'm a bad bitch" card. Now folks do you think he cheated on Lex with the following? This will be up to the individual reader. I consider myself an expert on cheating now from reading all these marriage in trouble books 😂. So Diane who's a club bunny has her eye's set on Colt. She's flirting with him. He's pushing her back... BUT he's getting hard from her. He tells himself he wants to go there with the ho, but Lex would kill him. This is how he's thinking. She helps him to bed one night. Completely undresses him. He never says stop UNTIL she starts to stroke him. Now this would fall into the category of assault because he said no twice, but she didn't listen until he physically pushed her, but just before he was too drunk to walk. Semantics I guess. Now he continues to ignore his family for weeks that turned into months. Zero contact while he rejects Lex's calls. Diane has someone take video of her sitting and flirting with Colt while he looks at his phone and rejects her calls. He missing kid's events, but shows up to a reopening of a strip club in their town. He let's a stripper rub on him and he never pushes her away. Is this cheating? Why yes I do believe so. Some will disagree, but for me personally he crossed a line because he's probably getting hard from it from his previous thoughts with Diane. Everything explodes with incriminating evidence from Diane, but Lex had enough and leaves him. End of the story. There are a couple other storylines which I couldn't even care about. I don't care about Heidi or Melanie. These ladies have zero boundaries and I find them gross. No I do not want to see a picture with your boyfriend's hard cock, nor do I want to join you in the bedroom as a foursome Heidi. 🥴 Thank God for Lily's character. The only sound of reason apparently. Sheesh! The Lex and Colt saga will continue in the next book.

Fantastic read. I felt so bad for Lex, she is doing everything right to save her marriage. Colt is losing the plot and doing everything wrong. I wanted to shake him, yell at him as he slowly destroys he’s life. I need to know what happens next. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎

I literally skipped 11 books because I wanted to avoid the possible tumult of Lex’s and Colt’s relationship, and investing into other characters’ stories, so forgive my lack of knowledge of other characters or even the main 2 because I’ve only read book 1 before this one.
Wow Colt really was pulling hard for an award for BEST bad decision-maker in this one.🏆
After reading this instalment, I saw I was right about the two coming back together as a couple (they’re now married with kids), just in time for me to see Colt repeat his past mistakes, careful not to seem like a cheater, but realistically not showing for your kid’s birthday but being able to attend a strip bar while not pushing back advances while you’re married says I’m a cheater and a bad father. *sighs* 🤦🏽‍♀️
I’ve really grown to dislike Colt’s character more because you know if this was his wife not pushing off advances from being propositioned and fawned over by others, he’d blame her and be nasty about. If she spilled their problems with men trying to bed her, along with showing a lack of being a good mom or even a present one, I’m willing to bet that he would deny her access to the kids, and please tell me why does he always believe there’s not a limit to her patience and understanding. ☹️
Well, I’m off to read the following instalment, although I’m sure Colt will be ‘redeemed,’ especially with how he’s apparently having conversations with his dead blood and patch brothers.
Even with skipping entire books, skimming/skipping other stories and character frustrations, I have trouble not finishing, which is funny since these are still ongoing interwoven stories. 🤪
Rounding out this review, again, I feel like Colt’s logic is beyond my understanding because even serial killers spend time with their families and keep their asses out of jail, while having actual jobs, because stalking, killing and cleanup pays no one (unless they’re an assassin), so 🤬 can’t he handle his family and club life in concert, and why is he always playing the victim when he’s the creator of his own issues. 🤨

Just finished this latest instalment of the Drifters MC, and as usual this author brings together all the best ingredients of an Motorcycle Club series. There's everything a biker book fan could ask for: action, love, grief, relationships in peril, club bunny beef and friendships put to the test. When it comes to this genre it ticks every box.

You could read this book on its own but you will definitely get the extra oomph from knowing how things got to this point. 13 books in and the pace and twists are still keeping the pages turning. All the characters, readers have learned to love or loathe, are up to more club business and personal drama, yet Logan Gray has written it in a way that keeps things in the present avoiding overlong passages about the past. It keeps the things moving and I still want to read more.
Written in the third person keeps things moving between storylines from different MC chapters and characters. It is smooth. Refreshing that you get to be part of all the action as it is happening.

As a reader of pretty much anything and everything there's a little soft spot in my bookshelf for romance. Throw in a few long haired bikers and a bit of angst and there is a wonderfully mispent night of reading 📚

Picking up a little after book 12, Lex and Colt have welcomed their second child. Instead of everything being perfect the couple are under pressure. The patch over in Blackwater continues to bring trouble to the club but especially to their relationship, as Colt feels responsibility and pressure from the death of a club brother triggering his unresolved trauma from the death of his blood brother. Everyone else seem to be making it work yet things are far from good for the Drifters favourite couple. Honesty and straightforward communication brought them back from the brink in the past, but can they hold it together?

I was lucky to get an early copy to review. I recommend you get stuck in for a quick re-read before release day later this month, of at least book 12. A lot is going on, and I am so here for it!

I once really enjoyed this series. Unfortunately with the lapse between the first 11 books and the last few books coming out now it’s hard to remember what even happened before the most recent books. But the major disappointment is the way the author writes Lex & Colt. I DNF at 26% after the third time Lex tried to talk to Colt and the baby cried. Again. For the third time. Then the chapter abruptly ends and the next chapter had Colt at a different club chapter. I don’t care to read a book with 300 pages of miscommunication due to a conveniently crying baby as a prop. The characters in the series are stale. The writing is not great. And most of all, it’s hard to even care how this series will end. It should have ended after book 12 honestly. The best thing this author can do is stop writing and retire the series. When even die hard fans lose interest, that’s a sign to quit while you’re ahead.

Wow! I started with this book as I wanted the drama....and boy does this book have it. Ends with a cliffhanger and no HEA/HFN as yet.

Cheating = H allows OW to feel up on him, flirt with him and tells OW private, intimate things about his marriage she should NOT know. Does it go further? Who knows for sure as H gets blackout drunk and the OW oh so kindly takes him to bed, often apparently.

Grovel = nope. Not even a little has occurred.

h sees H with OW = OW kindly sends video to the h of H and OW all cuddled up while H plays poker and is ignoring the h's phone calls/texts.

OW drama = OW is CW making moves on the H and he is allowing it. She calls the h several times to taunt the h, sends h video, sends h pictures of her with the H and even a naked pic of the H...final straw for the h was the attached sonogram pic the OW sent. Is it real? Dunno!!

MC = heavily in the plot and the excuse the H uses to be away from the h all the time.

I’ve been reading this series for a couple of weeks and I was going to wait until I read the final book in this series before I left one review. But I can’t.

After having a lot of errors and going back and forth with present and past tense throughout the series, this book was a major disappointment.

Where is the MC, besides a few things being mentioned of them? This is more the marriage of Lex and Colt. The Lex we’ve seen grow into the strong woman we love and in this book, she is beaten down and is a wuss.

The series started out okay and I liked the characters. But it’s become more about the ladies than the MC. Even Jennings has lost his toughness. The one good thing is each book has gotten spicier.

I absolutely adore every book in this series, but this book makes me want to hurt Logan Gray, lol. Be warned, this ends in a cliffhanger but the next one is due very soon. Colt and Lex have been the, it couple of the Drifters from the start, they’ve been to hell and back and came out the other side. Colt is going through things he’s not dealing with and frankly he’s a massive douche in this book, I’ve always like him but in this I wanted to ram his head through a wall. My heart broke for Lex on more than one occasion, the ending will leave you waiting desperately for the next book. Please don’t make me hate this series Logan Gray, bring on the next fantastic book in this series.

I am looking forward to answers in book 14.

This is wonderful storytelling. Logan has a gift. I am invested in her characters as if they are family. I am really not happy with this ending. I am not one to give away a storyline. So there isn't much I can say. I still give it five stars. It's a great story.

This book will keep you on the edge of your set from the beginning. Pretty much all of the main characters are involved in the book. I'm so furious with Colt he is one stubborn and stupid man. What a cliffhanger!!! I hope the next book comes out quickly.

mistakes:deranged drifters MC book 13

Colt and Lex continue their dysfunction relationship. The series includes other characters from the past books. The story ends with a cliffhanger with Colt trying to get his family back.

Wow

What a read. Colt is in a downward spiral after a shootout but we never thought he would take Lex with him. A sad read from her perspective.
