4.3 stars for Shifter Captive. This was a sweetish smut filled short story. It has more of a plot than the first book in the series and I liked the characters more as well. Overall a good, super fast read!.

This story delves into a whirlwind of complex emotions that drive the narrative. However, as circumstances unfold and Ryan exits Amber's life, leaving her open to considering a rebound, the revenge aspect of their plans seems destined to fizzle out.

Amidst this intricate plot, Cole finds himself intertwined with Amber in unexpected ways, their passionate night together complicating his initial intentions of using her for revenge. Once again, a rewrite, this time of Dark Captive by Carina Evers with shifters. Without revealing too much of the plot, I almost felt like Amber deserved what she got at the beginning when she went off with a complete stranger and she was lucky she didn’t get into more trouble than she did. Cole is an intense character, but at no stage did he seem dark enough to carry off the plan he’d set into motion. Although I could swallow their initial attraction (read lust) given that Amber was basically on the rebound, the instant connection was hard to understand given the circumstances (I don’t think there’s such a thing as instant Stockholm Syndrome!) The fact they have sex, even after she’s “captured” didn’t paint Amber in the best possible light. Meanwhile, Ryan, the ex, seemed like a real a-hole, then to some extent redeemed himself and proved us all wrong. Overall this story just proved the end does not necessarily justify the means.

Part of the Shifter Obsession series each read as a standalone series with a sexy shifter and the one who captures his attention. Amber is suffering from a broken heart having great friends deciding to take her out for a night getting a little too drunk meets up with a sexy guy and unable to resist him goes home with him and waking up the next morning to find herself chained to his bed kidnapped he wants revenge against her ex. Cole sexy as all get out man out for revenge against the beautiful women he meets at the club ex. for putting his sister in a wheelchair and never realized his heart would be involved but he can’t go through his plans. So, they decide to work together since her ex. Ryan broke up with her in getting revenge, but he surprises them both by giving a donation towards his sister, but will she forgive him for kidnapping her, will she accept they are meant to be together, and can they find happiness somewhere along the blurred lines?

Cole and Amber’s “Revenge”? . . .

There are many complicated emotions turned loose in this story. Cole has been watching Amber as a way to get revenge on her ex-boyfriend, Ryan, who had harmed his sister. But Ryan has broken up with Amber, and she wouldn’t mind a little revenge on Ryan by accepting a one-night-stand with another guy. So the revenge parts of their plans will probably fizzle. And when Cole chains her to his bed, having first enjoyed a steamy night with her, it’s no longer comfortable for him to think about using her as revenge when he wants her for himself. With the plan sort of falling apart, will Cole release Amber? Or will Cole and Amber be willing to give a relationship a try?

Amber’s a wolf shifter, her ex boyfriend cheated on her, after weeks of misery her friends take her out to a club. Wolf shifter Cole is at club and there’s instant attention, Amber goes home with Cole for an amazing, heart pounding steamy night. Amber wakes smiling after a beautiful night to find herself handcuffed to bed. Cole wants Ambers help, her ex Ryan crippled Cheryl in a hit and run car accident. Rich family Ryan never pays for any wrongdoing. Exciting, inspiring and thoughtful story, full of surprises, Amber and Cole are delightful together and make a spellbinding impression. I loved 🥰 every second and plan to read more of this series.

This is the second book in the series and well written. The feelings/emotions are clearly palpable in this story, but the heat also radiates. I really enjoyed this story about Cole and Amber going to their HEA. Amber heads out for a night of fun to try to get over her cheating ex. Cole wants revenge on his former but also cowardly friend who turns out to be Amber's ex. After a wonderful night together, Amber wakes up the next morning to find herself tied to Cole's bed. I won't reveal anything else. Read this captivating hot steamy romance for yourself, you'll be hooked until the end. I look forward to the next book.

Shifter Captive is a 94-page font of romance and passion. As for the enticement to read, I feel neutral about the cover but the blurb pulled me in. This is a short insta-love without a lot of world-building but as much background as you need to set the framework of the story. The writing and editing are much improved from Shifter Obsession, the first book in the series to the second. There were a few typos and grammar problems but they didn't detract from the flow of the story. I borrowed the book from KU, but by page 22 I was so enthralled with the dialogue and romance that I stopped and purchased it. I recommend this book.

This is a short story. The two main characters are Amber and Cole who are wolf shifters. They first meet at Club Slade after Amber had broken up with her cheating ex Ryan. There is instant chemistry between them and they end up at Coles place. But things are not as they seem. It turns out Cole has a secret agenda. He wants revenge against Ryan for the wrongs he committed in his past. Will he get his revenge or will he realize that there is a greater reward out there. One he can realize with Amber in his life. Amber broke up with her boyfriend for cheating got talked into going to a club with her friends where she met Cole. Cole and her had a great night but she woke up chained to his bed. Cole told her to call Ryan her ex boyfriend to try and get money out of him for the medical bills because of what Ryan had done to his sister but was told to keep her. Amber and her friends did a fundraiser to come up with the money. Good book!.

Cole stalks and holds Amber hostage to extort her ex, but realizes that is not all there is to it once he is with her. She falls for him fast even though he held her captive. They are very yummy together. Ryan is a POS. When the full story of Ryan and Cole comes out, it is terrible. The wolves have very little part of this story. Cole is a good guy who made a lot of bad decisions. I wish we had a little more insight into Amber.

A lovely shifter romance

Amber is out with her friends to help her after a bad breakup when she meets Cole. She thinks a one-nigh stand might help he heart, not knowing he’s been watching her for a while with revenge on his mind. After a night together though they both find themselves thinking differently about the situation.

A lovely quick read, shifter romance, with drama, steam, twists and a HEA.

Amber is recovering from a broken heart. She goes out to a club with all her girl friends and meets Cole who takes her home with him only for her to realize the next morning that she has been kidnapped and is not cuffed to the incredibly sexy man’s bed. Things don’t go as he had planned but in the long run he gets the girl and manages to get the necessary funds to help his sister.

I loved it so much it's just a roller-coaster, he stalks her for a long time. He finally gets her, but he realizes he wants her so much. No matter what he thinks he wants revenge on her ex, but he finds himself conflicted with himself but losing his main goal. It's a great enemies to lovers, I would recommend this to someone who wants 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️, along with sweet loving romance.

Cole wanted revenge from Ryan, so he tried seducing his ex Amber and kidnaping her. This idea was the best idea, because when he was near her he couldn't help himself, his wolf knew she was his.
We'll see if Amber can forgive Cole for kidnaping her to get his revenge and using her.

This is a true love story with a twist.
