Four and a half stars, actually.
This is not just 'another book about prayer' but a well-researched book giving the reasons we must pray, the results if we pray sincerely, and many anecdotes of real life often-miraculous changes brought about when people prayed. Stuart goes into Old Testament and New Testament events, and movements through the ages, including some from the last several decades. They range from individual pray-ers and the results, to the birthing of whole movements.
I found the book inspiring and encouraging. As someone who prays, I felt encouraged to pray more and to try to infect those around me with the desire to pray.
Stuart and his wife Margaret were long term missionaries in South Asia and now lead a very large Baptist church in Australia although Stuart is theoretically retired.
An important book.
